The Disney Grump is taking me on a DREAM vacation! TR Link, pg 30

Hmmmm, do we need to come up with a list of duties for our "cabana boys"?

I read Marc your comment to Happydog and he said "not likely".
We shall see about that!;)

I think we should have t-shirts made for them that say "Cabana Boy"

You were posting when I was posting!
First of all congrats to Jared's team. Not a bad showing in that big tournament at all, they really should be proud of themselves!

Great purchases and I love your countdown calendar!
I do have one of those shoe organizers in my purple locker and it works so well for toiletries... You will enjoy having it!
I can't even think about getting ready for the vacation, I have a graduation open house to give in two weeks.
I'm not even close to being ready!!!

We really need to think about getting a camera to use in the water though.

I think I'm going to like the organizer too, I'll probably end up taking it with me whenever I travel anywhere after this.

Who's graduating? I'm headed up to Minnesota on the 14th for my cousin's graduation, ceremony is on the 15th but open house is not until the 20th, so we'll be up there awhile. I've got to get myself pretty well organized for the trip before I leave for that!

Congrats on the baseball wins by the boys. So sorry the championship got rained out; I used to hate when that happened.

Love the beach bag...very cute.

It was such a bummer that it got rained out, we expected it though, it rains every year at this tournament, I don't know why we keep going!

I'm pretty happy with my beach bag :goodvibes

Love the purchases, great idea on the shoe rack for toiletries, a great way to use a small space :thumbsup2

cute bag

congrats to your boys

I think the shoe organizer will work well for what I need :thumbsup2

The bag is definitely my favorite purchase, everything else is more like a necessity, the bag is just for fun!

great finds! I love the bag! I have wayyy to many bags- otherwise I would be searching for a new one. That reminds me- I need to purchase a waterproof camera! Thanks for the reminder.

You have a great camera- it takes great actions pictures of your boys playing sports!

I love my camera! Don bought it for me a couple of years ago, one of the best gifts he's ever given me!

Brag away - the boys deserve it! :woohoo:

Now I will never know where I was born. I feel like such an orphan.
Maybe next year. ;) It would be cool to see where it all started.

30 days is a big day in counting down, I think. When it gets to 30, it just seems to fly for me. It feels like this has been a really long school year, so it's exciting to see everyone gearing up for these summer trips. :cool1:

I'm sure we will be back down there next year too, we go every year, just remind me so that I don't forget ;)

This week is definitely flying by! The trip will be here before I know it :woohoo:

The school year has been strange for me, on the one hand it seems like it's gone by really fast for Justin (can't believe he's practically a sophomore already!) but the year has seemed really long for Jared. Maybe it's because I'm at Jared's school more working on PTA stuff, idk :confused3

Congratulations to the boys!!! What great achievements!

I really, really, really like your countdown calendar idea! I may well have to borrow that for a future trip!

Love all the trip shopping. :thumbsup2 I keep looking at my beach bag and getting impatient to use it! It's just begging me to be filled with things. Is yours doing that, too? :rotfl:

You will love Savannah Blues and Savannah Breeze -- in fact, I love anything by Mary Kay Andrews, and you are right, they are the perfect vacation reading.

I wish I could take credit for coming up with the calendar idea, but I stole it myself from another DISer, jaycns, I don't think she's around anymore, which is really too bad because she always provided such great inspiration.

My beach bag is actually hiding in my closet right now.....it's not supposed to be here. When Don saw me looking at them he commented that we already had at least one good beach bag and didn't need another one. Somehow I translated that to mean that he wanted me to buy this one cause it's cuter

I'm having a flashback moment to this time last year when we were talking about Baggalini vs Vera Bradley bags on the various PTRs....and y'all were debating which one to get and what colour.
I sat there enviously reading and commenting that I couldn't get either in Oz and International shipping was a killer.

I'm STILL envious!! :rotfl:

That is one GORGEOUS beach bag!

princess::upsidedow

It is a great bag isn't it?! I really do love it and can't wait to use it. I know it looks like a Vera but it's not. I ordered it from Pottery Barn Teen :thumbsup2

It really is too bad that the shipping would be so high for you :sad2:

Woo hoo, this month! How exciting.

Love the new beach bag. That is really cute! Kingdom Keepers are such fun books. I just got the 4th one but haven't started it yet.

Yay, this month!! :yay:

Kingdom Keepers are fun books, I love being able to picture in mind exactly where they are in the parks!

Yay on the boys winning their baseball games!! :cheer2: I actually don't know much about the game but sounds like you all enjoyed watching the two games. It's a shame about the rain.

Love the countdown calendar and the idea of putting tasks into the envelope! :thumbsup2 What a fun way to make sure things get done before you leave.

Hope Don comes through with the waterproof camera and I am in  with the beach bag!! I love the design, colours and size of it! :goodvibes

Yay, I'm sure American baseball isn't played too much over there! I know more about the game than I ever thought I would or ever wanted to know

Don better get me the camera! He asked me the other day what I wanted for Mother's Day and I just looked at him. I sure hope he was trying to throw me off and that he didn't forget......

Congratulations to your boys! I know you are so proud of them! And bragging is perfectly acceptable!

Love all your shopping finds! I have decided to wait until you get back from your trip to buy a waterproof camera. I'm going to let you be the guinea pig! ;) I want a very honest and full review when you return, ok. :flower3:

I am so glad that you posted the waterproof ID holders b/c I had thinking of something like that myself. I wouldn't really want to leave our KTTW cards on the beach while we are in the water. And I know something like that will be needed for the dolphin swim too. We've also decided to get the passport cards, so that will be great for those too when we get off the boat in Nassau. I'll be buying one of them for sure. Where did you find it?

I need to get one of those Kingdom Keepers books too. I haven't read any of them and I've heard good things about the series.

LOVE the countdown calendar and the activities idea! Very cute! And  to the Grump for not wanting to play along while you are gone!

I don't blame you for wanting an honest review on the camera, it's really expensive and I sure hope I don't feel like I wasted money on it after it's all said and done!

I ordered the waterproof ID holders from amazon, they were really very reasonably priced, you can check them out here

You do know that you cannot fly with just the passport cards, right? Odds are you won't need to, but I just wanted to make sure you were aware of that.

The Kingdom Keepers series isn't going to win any literary awards, but they are fun to read!

Jared is bummed that his dad doesn't want to play along with the countdown while I am gone too :sad2:

Congratulations to the boys! I know you are very proud and should be! Too bad they didn't get to play in the championship round.

:banana:Yay, for 30 days! Love the countdown idea. I may have to take that one from you.

Love your new purchases.

Oh, you are going to have so much fun. I can't wait to hear all about it.

I took the countdown idea from someone else here on the DIS myself. It's a fun way to get excited about the trip!

Congratulations to the boys! Sounds like they are great baseball players!

Love the countdown calendar! Great idea to put it on an envelope and have fun things inside!

Love the beach bag....I looked at a Vera one, but ended up with a cheap one from Target instead!

I know I'm biased, but I think they are pretty darn good players :thumbsup2

The countdown calendar is so much fun, over the past few days the boys have each gotten a new Disney pin and we've played Disney Scene It and POTC Life. It's a great way to pass the time leading up to a trip!

The beach bag isn't Vera at all, even though it looks like her stuff. It came from Pottery Barn Teen, I got it on sale for $35 and got free shipping to boot! :thumbsup2

I loved going to the boys' games when they were younger. It was so much fun. Congrats on their wins. :woohoo:

Running to the ball field all the time sure gets tiring at times, but I know there will come a day when I really miss it!

What???? I thought I read in that long post earlier on here that I could as long as it was from Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean??? Guess I need to go back and read that again. :sad2: Would I even need them if we decide to stay on the boat in Nassau? If that's the case, then we may just do Discovery Cove and stay on in Nassau b/c that really adds a huge cost. I don't see why we would need them if we stayed on the boat, but maybe I'm wrong. Is CC considered US territory? I'm so confused now. :rolleyes1

You can use them to cross borders by land or sea in Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, not by air. Not sure about CC, I think it's a Bahamian territory??? You can get off the ship in Nassau with just your birth certificates, you don't have to have the card to do that, it's just easier and more convienent. I opted to get passport books just because I tend to be a 'worst case scenario' kind of person. It would be just my luck that we'd have some kind of emergency and have to fly home from the Bahama's and then wouldn't have the proper documentation to do so......

Great update Michelle!!! :thumbsup2

Congrats to both of your boys on all of their sports accomplishments!!! You must be a very proud momma! I love how you & Don were able to each take a boy to their game & then text each other with updates!!! What a great idea!!!

I can't believe I just saw "27 days" on your ticker!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

:cool1: :dance3: :cool1: :dance3: :cool1: :dance3: :cool1:

Those are great purchases for your trip! I've read on quite a few DCL TR's about people hanging those shoe organizers for more toiletry space! I saw a really great deal on a set of 3 different organizers on QVC the one night but I was too tired to even get up to get the phone or my credit card! :lmao: I'll have to check out Amazon & some other sites for next year!

I love that beach bag!!! It is super cute! I LOVE ordering from Pottery Barn Teen! They have some great bags! I've ordered curtains from them & other things, but only have looked at their bags. I'm going to order one for my niece when she starts school -- but since she just turned 1, I have a few years! Maybe she needs her Aunt Hope to try one out for her in the meantime :rolleyes1

Great countdown calendar!!! I love using the DISign boards, especially Milliepie's designs! I have soooo many of hers saved on my computer & use them for all of our trips!

Did you see the DISign thread with the families & the hats? I can't remember the lady's name, but I have the link saved -- I'll get it for you! You can choose a hat for each person & she will write whatever you want above it & below it. So above you could write "Disney Dream" or "Our First Cruise" and then below, your names or just leave it blank. There are some great examples! Just make sure if you request one that you mention that your cruise is in 27 days so she gets it for you quickly (assuming she has time -- lol) -- I think it sometimes takes around 2 weeks. You can print it out & put it on a magnet or shirt or whatever you want! Last year, I just printed mine to use in my planning journal! :thumbsup2

I can't wait to hear more about your plans!!! Actually, now I'm just excited to hear all about it and see your pictures once you get home!!!!

Ok, it is all starting to sink in. I'm thick sometimes. Boy does that throw a wrench in my budget! :headache: Thanks for all the info though. I'm so glad you told me b/c the cards would have been a total waste of money. Can you tell I'm not much of a world traveler? :sad2: so I guess it doesn't matter if you plan to get off the ship or not. If something happens to you on the boat, they would still take you to a hospital in the Bahamas, and the ship would leave you behind. Lovely! I guess there is no getting around it then. Thanks again for all your help.

Very cute beach bag!! I like it in blue and pink! I think that is the color she has!! Those boys better get used to their roll...

What great Bball players you have in your family! Impressive!

You make me feel guilty, though, because I am Woefully behind in my entries! I gotta update my PTR! We have all sorts of testing right now, so I am a bit distracted.... I hope to make it for an update this week though, as promised! :thumbsup2

Unfortunately we have to split up all too often, the boys schedules always seem to overlap! When that happens I'm almost always with Justin, Don is one of Jared's coaches so he needs to go with him. At least technology can keep us up to date with how the other one is doing!

I can't believe I just saw "27 days" on your ticker!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

I know!!! :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay:

I avoid QVC like the plague, if I watch I always see something that I just have to have!

You really should test the quality out before you buy one for someone as a gift :rolleyes1 ;)

Oops! Nevermind about the family DISigns. I just looked up the thread for you & she is on a break from DISigning from May 1st-July 31st. Sorry about that! But you could request one for your next trip! :thumbsup2

Here's the link if you want to save it for future reference!

Thanks for the link - very cute stuff!! I tend to just download designs that someone has a blank for and then I personalize it myself. I always feel guilty asking someone to take the time to do it for me. Don't think I could do those on my own though, and they are super cute - I'll have to keep an eye on her thread for when see if she starts taking requests again :thumbsup2

Yeah, that is my fear, but like I said, I'm a freak about stuff like that. I know people cruise all the time without passports and have no problems what-so-ever. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I like having the passports anyway, you never know where we might need to go :thumbsup2

Yup, Jackie has the pink one. I loved that one too, but I didn't want to be a total copy cat

I really like the title of cabana boy for them, it fits, I think ;)

You DO need to do an update and I'm waiting very patiently for those Mediterranean cruise pics! I understand the whole testing thing though, we just finished with elementary school testing last week (I was a monitor for a 5th grade class - yeah, that was fun! ) and Justin had his last EOI on Tuesday - I think all the teachers breathed a huge sigh of relief when it was over!

WOOT WOOT for 30 days!! This month is going to FLY by!!!! And soon you'll be at Disney and on the cruise!!!!

Congrats to the boys and their successful baseball games! What a bummer the last part of the championship got rained out!!!

Love your countdown calendar what a great idea!!!

Hey Jen! Are you home already?? Wow, that went fast! Of course, you get to turn right around and go again soon, which means I'll see you in just a few short weeks :yay:

Michelle, I can't believe your trip is less than a month away!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Just wanted to wish you a Happy Mother's Day.

Love, love, love your beach bag!

Where have I been?!? When was this started?! Bad Disney friend! I just saw your link in MeMom's TR this morning. How silly of me! Going back to read from the beginning right now! :goodvibes

It's time for this school year to end I think!

I did have a good weekend - hope you did too!

Happy Mother's Day!! Hope you and the boys have a great day! :goodvibes

Thank you Tanz!

Congratulations to the boys!

Love, love, love your beach bag!

Hey Christine! Welcome home! Have you started a TR yet??? I'm sure you ladies had a fabulous time, can't wait to read all about it!

I love my beach bag too! Don is out of town for a few days, I think I may get it out of hiding and look at it :lmao:

:flower3: Happy Mother's Day, Michelle!!!! :flower3:

Thank you Hope!

Where have I been?!? When was this started?! Bad Disney friend! I just saw your link in MeMom's TR this morning. How silly of me! Going back to read from the beginning right now! :goodvibes

Hey there Kelli!! No worries! I am so bad about checking the boards for new reports, I try and keep an eye on people's siggys for links, but they are easy to miss!

I'll be up in your neck of the woods next week! Leaving on Saturday for my cousin's graduation.

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day Michelle! Oh, you are getting sooo close. I bet you are getting very excited.
