The Disney Grump is taking me on a DREAM vacation! TR Link, pg 30

Sounds like you had a great mother's day and your trip is getting so close now! :cool1: Yeah for trip documents!

It must be nice to be somewhere where it is warm enough to swim!

Hooray you got the camera :cool1: have fun playing/practicing with it in preparation for the trip

And Mickey Cruise mail :banana::banana:

You are getting close:goodvibes

I took a few pictures with it yesterday, just in auto mode around the pool and then the boys played with it in the water - they really stink at taking pictures so I got a lot of nothing  Justin took one pretty decent one. I'll try and post them this week before I leave for Minnesota.

I also just noticed that you have a TR going - I'm not very observant sometimes. :sad2: I'll get over there and check it out today!

Your pool is so nice, I like the rocks around the sides.
It is still too cold here to even think of getting into a pool. If it would stop raining I will be happy. It's still hard for me to realize how warm Oklahoma is, I thought Ok. was a lot like Ohio, but when my son & DIL moved there I found out how warm it is there.

Thanks, the flagstone surround was something that I insisted on when we put in the pool, I just loved the look of it.

Our weather is very up and down, but we get really hot in the summer months!

Hi Michelle!! I know I haven't been on the DIS in awhile--soooo much going on right now! But I wanted to check-in over here as I know that your cruise is fast approaching! Sooo exciting!! I still feel like ours is sooo far away--still a little over a year away! However, we did book our October WDW trip and we're staying at AKL--a first time for us as well!! Can't WAIT!!

I read that you are going to Atlanta first--we took a trip there last summer and it was a lot of fun! We did the aquarium and Coca Cola. Note--be sure and buy your tickets ahead of time--we went on a Saturday and stood in a HUGE line just to get tickets to the aquarium and ended up having to come back several hours later. Then the aquarium was so crowded that it was hard to enjoy. However, Sunday was another story--so less crowded!! We went to Coca Cola on Sunday and Brent tried the Beverly for the first time! It was hilarious!!! :rotfl2:

It looks like you had a wonderful Easter and Mother's Day!! Can't wait to hear more about your planning!! It will be here before you know it!! :goodvibes

Hey Becky! I've been thinking about you a lot the last few days with all the flooding going on in Memphis. Hope it's not effecting your family at all! And oh my gosh, did you stay up and watch that basketball game last night?! Our two teams are really beating each other up, what a series!

We will be in Atlanta on a Tuesday, but it is Memorial week so it could be busy - thanks for the tip about buying the tickets in advance, I'd hate to waste valuable time standing in line!

Hope you had a great Mother's Day with your adorable little girls!

Thanks for sharing your fun Mother's Day. The food looks delicious.

Love the backwards flip picture! :thumbsup2

And the Mom and sons picture =

Yay for Disney mail, of course. That always makes life more exciting.

I know you will get some great shots with that new camera. :cool1:

I get so nervous when Jared does those flips, I'm always afraid that he is going to hit his head on the board! He's been doing them since he was 4 though - no fear - which is why I'm going gray

Beach plans? What are those? :rotfl: I have been so laidback on planning this trip, it isn't even funny. We really haven't made any concrete plans except to book a dolphin cruise. Charles and I were talking about the trip last night. It consisted of, "Are we eating lots of seafood on this trip?" "Yes, we are." :lmao:

Thanks for the sausage stars recipe! I will definitely be making those at some point! :goodvibes

Yeah, I guess there isn't nearly as much planning that has to go into a beach trip. I mean, what do you really need, sunscreen, shorts and swimsuits - easy! The dolphin cruise sounds fun, I think you guys are going to have a fabulous time :goodvibes

3 weeks!! :woohoo: Looks like you had a great weekend. Can't wait to see the trip pictures from that new camera!

So jealous it's warm enough to swim for you guys. It's in the upper 60's/low 70's here -- and just barely. Of course after the winter we've had it feels like a heat wave. :rotfl:

I'm so excited to have a camera that I can take in the water! Not to mention, I really didn't want to lug my DSLR on excursions. I hope this camera will be perfect!

We've had some warm spurts over the last couple of months, but it just now got hot enough for swimming. I love it - summer's almost here :woohoo:

Happy Mother's Day Michelle and congrats on the new camera!

There is nothing that says I'm going on a Disney Vacay like getting that Mickey Mail in the mailbox! :thumbsup2

And we're getting into winter here. It was 3 C (about 38 F) this morning when I left to go to work. Coldest May morning in a lot of years!

Thanks Sharon!

Love Mickey Mail! There is no better kind to get!

Burrrrrr, that sounds way too cold! I always forget that our seasons are swapped, seems strange that you guys are getting cold weather!

Ok, first of all I have to say (even though I already commented on it) you should not have posted that pic of the beach bag you got. Now I really want it! LOL.

Woo hoo for getting your new camera! Looks like you had a nice Mother's Day.

You are getting close to your trip!

It's a really cute bag.....just sayin'.......

I did have a nice Mother's Day, thanks!

YAY for a great Mother's Day!! Love the camera!!! You are definitely going to be using that a lot...wow only 3 weeks away I haven't even begun to think about packing and the trip is going to be here before we know it!!!

What a great beach bag!! Love it!!!! So pretty!!

I know, I am going to make myself sit down and work on a packing list this week - today would be a good day since I just did laundry and everything is clean, it would make it easier to see what we all have and what we might need. Gotta do that!

Sounds like you had a great mother's day and your trip is getting so close now! :cool1: Yeah for trip documents!

It must be nice to be somewhere where it is warm enough to swim!

Hi there Mary Ellen! Welcome home, hope you had a great trip!!

Yes, it IS nice to be somewhere where it is warm enough to swim :thumbsup2

Wow, what a great day you all had. Nice pool, Michelle. And way to go Don! :thumbsup2

And, of course, we have to have a :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for Disney mail.

Love the pool pictures. I am not a fan of getting wet. Yes you read that right - I don't mind being wet, it is the getting wet part that I hate. :rotfl2:

Glad you got your camera and had a nice Mother's day. :woohoo:

Thanks for sharing the pictures of Mother's Day with us! It looks like you had a really great day!!! And yum -- that food looks delish! :thumbsup2

Also thanks for sharing the recipe -- I'll try that out one day soon for sure!

ºoº Mickey Mail ºoº Soooo exciting!!! It looks like they really send you alot of information through DCL...is it a small booklet or just a folder? Just curious what they send! I can't believe your trip is soooo close now!!!!

WOOHOO for getting the camera!!!!! I just KNEW you would get it before your trip!!! I'm a Canon girl myself -- my mom is looking for a new camera & I've been trying to convince her to leave the world of Kodak & enter into the world of Canon! :lmao: :lmao:

I love your pool!!! It was almost 80 here the other day & it made me think alot about swimming! Unfortunately, we've given alot of thought to buying a pool & just don't think we'd get enough use out of it. It still wouldn't be warm enough here to even think about swimming. We've only had maybe 2-3 days warmer than 70 degrees here in Western PA -- and one of those days had very chilly winds! But I do love looking at pics of others pools -- just in case I ever leave PA and move down South :rolleyes1

Less than 3 weeks to go now!!!!

Hi Michelle, just today we got the same Mickey cruise mail!!!
Looks like a very fun Mother's Day down south of us!
We spent the day out working by our pool, then at a baseball tourney!

I absolutely love your pool it's beautiful!!!

Wow, what a great day you all had. Nice pool, Michelle. And way to go Don! :thumbsup2

And, of course, we have to have a :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for Disney mail.

It was a good day! Even though it's a bit of a pain to keep up we really enjoy the pool.

Gotta love Disney mail!! :woohoo:

Ok, given your occupation, that statement cracks me up!

I'm glad I got the camera too :goodvibes

Lovely Mother's Day photos!

:woohoo: for getting the camera!

:banana::banana::banana: for cruise docs!

Thanks!

I'm pretty excited about the camera AND the Mickey mail!

The cruise documents came in a small booklet. It contains a checklist, embarkation information, our itinerary, including any reservations we've made for dining and excursions. It also has tiping guidelines in it and talks about the documents and forms you'll need to sail. Oh, and the luggage tags, 2 per person.

I had a Kodak before I got my Canon and I really liked it, don't think I'd go back now though!

We love having the pool. We put it in when Justin was 7. He was diagnosed with a hip condition that prevented him from running and jumping. Biking and swimming were the only physical exercises he could do. At the time we didn't know how long he was going to be limited (could have been years, thankfully it was only about a year and a half) so we put in the pool. Ending up being a great decision, we get a ton of use out of it!

Yay for Mickey cruise mail!!!

Nothin' like baseball to help celebrate Mother's Day

Thanks, we really like the pool, it actually needs a bit of work though. Needs to be replastered and some tiles need to be replaced. I decided to spend that money on a cruise instead though :thumbsup2

Hey all, I leave very early in the morning for Minnesota. I'm going to do my best to get an update up before the end of the day, so be on the lookout. I'll be in Minnesota for a week, I should be able to check in some here though.

AND, notice my ticker........I'm in the teens!!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

Have a good time in Minnesota and be safe in your travels. I'll probably check for your update on Sunday night or Monday. We are off to Dubuque, IA, tomorrow for our baby's college graduation. :scared1:

Have a lovely weekend Michelle (Edit: That should say 'week in Minnesota!' I can't believe I missed your comment about your mini vacation! :rolleyes1 Have a great time!)

:woohoo: on it being 17 days to go - instead of 18!! :rotfl:

Oh I am soooo behind!! I have the worst time at work these first few weeks of May, I don't know if I am coming or going, so very busy with testing and such, but I think I am above water. I finally loaded photos from spring break, so I might be able to get my act together! I hope your Mom's day was nice it sure seemed like it! Great camera! I'll hopefully have an update for you to see while you are away, I hope your trip goes well! I can't believe when you get back it will be a little over a week before you head out! So much fun!!! I will get back to DISing this weekend I hope!!!

Hey there! Hope you're having a fun and safe trip!

I just had to tell you about my run in with your twin! We went to Myrtle Beach, SC this past weekend and there was a lady there at the pool that looked just like you except she had really light blond hair. I just kept looking at her thinking... she looks just like somebody I know...and then it hit me that it was you! :rotfl: She looked so much like you that I almost asked her if she had a sister in Oklahoma! But I knew she would think I was insane, so I didn't. I will, however, ask YOU if you have a sister that went to Myrtle Beach this weekend! :upsidedow

I hope you're having a great time here in Minnesota, Michelle! I arranged some great weather for your trip, didn't I? ;) Are you enjoying it? :) I bet it seems cool to you though!

Hi Michelle! I can't believe you are leaving in about a week! So jealous and I can't wait to hear all about it.

By the way, I decided to go ahead and start at TR for my Feb trip (better late than never, right?). There were just some moments that I really wanted to share with my Dis friends, which you might have seen on the blog, so stop by when you get a chance. Even if it's after your big cruise. I am literally just getting started. I added the link in my signature. :goodvibes

Until then, I'll be thinking of you getting ready to head on a glorious Disney adventure.

How was graduation, Kathy? Bittersweet, I bet. I can't imagine the day that my baby graduates high school, let alone college!

Have a lovely weekend Michelle (Edit: That should say 'week in Minnesota!' I can't believe I missed your comment about your mini vacation! :rolleyes1 Have a great time!)

:woohoo: on it being 17 days to go - instead of 18!! :rotfl:

Thanks! It was fun seeing family that we rarely get to see, but I was ready to get back home - I missed my boys!

Hey HD! I haven't been on here in over a week, I feel so overwhelmed with wanting to get caught up here, trying to keep the boys focused for their last few days of school, and getting ready for our trip - I need another week I think!

Have a great time in Minnesota!!!

Thanks Jackie, I did!

YAY for getting your camera! and those treats look delicious!

I was very happy that Don came through with the camera :thumbsup2

Too funny! Nope, no sisters for me, just one brother. I've heard we all have a twin out there somewhere though, guess you found mine ;)

I hope you're having a great time here in Minnesota, Michelle! I arranged some great weather for your trip, didn't I? ;) Are you enjoying it? :) I bet it seems cool to you though!

You know, it was cooler than the weather we've had for sure, but it was nicer than I had expected it to be! We were bummed about the crappy weather on Friday though, that was the day of my cousin's open house/graduation party. My poor aunt had about 200+ people crammed into her garage and instead of the overflow going outside into the backyard, it went into the house, she's a clean freak and all the wet shoes on her carpets and people eating on her furniture were making her a bit nuts. After a week of beautiful weather it just had to rain that day.....

:)Hope you are having a great time in Minnesota Michelle!

Thanks Erkia, it was a lot of work helping my aunt get ready for the big party, but we still had fun!

I'm excited about the trip, but at this point I wish I had a little more time before it gets here, I've got so much to do!

I'll definitely get over to your report, might take me a few days, but I'll be there :thumbsup2

*********************

Well, obviously I didn't get to that update before I left for Minnesota :sad2: Hopefully it will be today. I got home late Saturday night. Sunday was spent doing laundry and cleaning the house. Yesterday I was at Jared's school all day making cotton candy for the carnival they had, then Justin had a double header last night. Today my hope is to organize everything I have left to do - still need to do some shopping, make the magnets for decorating our stateroom door, get the oil changed in my car, pay bills - I'm sure there is more, I need to get a list going!! Plus I really want to catch up here, we'll see how it goes!

Packing?!?
Oh gosh, I really need to get that going too!
Magnet making? Well some of that has been started...
