The Disney Bear

I have a quick queston, if I remember correctly doesn't Disney sell a stuffed bear called The Disney Bear, if I remember correctly when we were down last May, I think my friend bought one that said my first teddy bear for her new Grandson, my question is, what it the best park to find these bears, and do they have ones other then my first teddy bear? If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much.

My First Teddy Bear is a smaller version of the Disney Bear. I'm pretty sure I saw the DB in the Emporium at MK, but they also have them in Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney (that's where we purchased one for my cousin).

My DH just got one for me at our POR gift shop.
They had both the regular size and the "First" size. I remember snuggling with them in several spots, so they shouldn't be too hard to find if you're looking for them. Once Upon a Toy had them for sure, and I can't remember, but they were in the parks too. They are only in the light brown color now, though. My kids have them from back when they had colorful options too. That suits me though as we all have different colors. No sharing my bear!!

Thank you so much for all the great replies. I won't be able to make it to downtown Disney this trip so hoping some place in the parks sells them. If anyone knows of a store exactly and what park, that would be great. Thank you for letting me know that they do indeed have the regular bear and not just the first one. I am excited.

Speaking of The Disney Bear - I SO wanted to buy a Pink one when I was there, and never did.

My son's then went and visited with their <ex-hubby>Dad - and my youngest, knowing the trauma, hurt and dismay I was being caused by not being able to go <ahem> brought me back a Lavender one - saying he hadnt been able to find Pink (thats what he wanted to get me)

So, anyone know the recent colors availible? I wouldnt mind a Fuschia one! Thats what they should do - Neon Disney Bears! WOO HOO!

Wow, that's something new for me! The only Bear's I've gotten at Disney were Kenai, Koda and the little cub from Country Bear. What does this little guy look like? I love Bears but can't remember seing the one you are talking about. Is he new?

Here is a picture of my DD's Disney Bear. I don't know if this is the color that is still available as she bought hers 2 years ago. The tag that attached is actually a little 6 page story book. The front has a hologram type picture showing Mickey hugging the bear and when you move it, you see the bear resting on Mickey's shoulder.

The Story of Disney Bear

One night before the park opened, Mickey was sitting by the castle. The rest of his friends had not arrived yet, so Mickey brought along his favorite teddy bear to keep him company.

Mickey was so excited to be in such a magical place that he wished he had somebody to explore the park with. Suddently, Tinker Bell flew down out of the starry sky and saw Mickey sitting there with his stuffed friend. She had heard Mickey's wish and sprinkled the bear with Pixie Dust. The Pixie Dust filled the bear and he miraculously came to life!

Mickey was so excited and happy, that he gave his bear a hug. As soon as Mickey hugged the bear a magical Mickey head shaped impression appeared on the bear's face, forever bonding him with Mickey.

From that moment on, Mickey had a very special friend to share all his magical memories.

That bear is just too darn cute!! I really hope I am able to find them when I am down there, I have a friend who loves bear and hope to find one for her. Please if somone knows what stores in the parks sell them, please let me know. Thank you so very much.

I think DD paid $22 for the bear. She saved all year to get him. We also got him at POFQ gift shop. I cannot remember if he was in the parks, I would think he is but I have no idea where! Other wise hop on over to a resort gift shop. I know they did have a couple of colors also. She chose the light tan over the dark brown.

I believe the Disney Bear comes in a darker brown also, other than the picture from the OP'er, and I like the mickey heads on the pawls :I think we paid $25.00 per bear,

I love the Disney Bear. I have a DB magnet on my fridge...he's so furry & cute!

I've started to see them in more shops over the trips. World of Disney is probably the best place, but MGM has the little CHristmas shop and they're in there too.

AWWW..What a cute Bear! and what a cute STORY! I can't actually remember ever seeing him at Disney! I will be on the lookout for him this time because I have to get one for my mother-in-law...she's BEAR CRAZY and I think that the story will get to her. She's not a big Disney fan but I may be able to CONVERT HER! SNICKER. SNICKER! :
