The DisFort's Chit Chat Cafe

Now I know why I wanted 2 new tires this year, the spares are old. Lol. Good enough to get you to a garage but that's it. So off to have my tire fixed and change it again.

I know that feeling when everything seems to be going wrong. I cannot answer whats best financially, however, like Jim said you will notice the new length but not for long The extra space will be noticed and probably appreciated.

however, every RV needs 300 every time something needs something. Even my 2020....

I have the Salem 178 bh . We really like it but what someone said about the bunk mattress being really thin is true. Also bought it at crossroads they were good to deal with

And of course while replacing the toung jack, I must have hit the propane hose and it started leaking. Only noticed it after 3/4 of a newly filled 30 lb tank was gone. Lol. Ordered new hoses. The others were only 2 years old. The electeic toung jack was 6 years old. So, I did good on that for a cheap 120$ jack. Didn't order a new one, I will crank it by hand.

Our electric tongue jack had a fuse in the line we had to change out a couple times. Maybe?

No, It had power to the switch, I checked the fuse and reset. The motor just didn't move. The light worked! I did jump the switch and still nothing. It lasted 6 years. So, for 100 bucks or so had a good life. Lol.

@Sjm9911 That is how I see the lower cost items. I spend 100 vs. x00, it lasted 6 years instead of 10, I am already ahead!!! I mean if you choose to keep it, sink the 100 into it. Might even be worth it for selling (but not if you plan to trade in.)

TBH, the hand crank wasn't that bad. Way easier then the pop up camper one. I thought it was going to suck, but it really didn't. We might look for campers after this trip. But if I fix everything, then the camper is still good. Just loaded up all the food stuff. Will do the truck later and tomorrow we are off.

Of course the propane lines came in today, and they were the wrong size. Even though it was the same thing I bought 2 years ago that fit. Must be shrinkflation as the c9nection point was smaller then needed........I turned the switch to operate from the only side that works and shut off the other tank. Hopefully it holds.
