were back to a normal weekly weigh in thread!

good luck with your weight losses this week, and please post your hints and tips so we can all try and help each other on this long and slippery road to achieving our goal! :woohoo:
Hints and tips:
remember to drink at least 2 litres of water a day
freeze grapes, they then taste like boiled sweets. :teeth:
try and do some exercise each day
Try and Stay Positive!

Netty, I had never thought to freeze grapes, at least that would stop me eating too many of them :blush: .

well thanks to the drawing pin i didnt eat the cadbury creme egg and i have lost 6lbs so back on track. i have lost 4 stone altogether now.
this week i aim for 3lbs.

good luck everyone, if i can do anyone can..
 
2lb off for me :yay: but Gavin has stayed the same

We went for 2 walks last week which helped me but as Gavin was sneaking Flapjacks at work he just broke even!

I'm joining in as I'm really struggling and just been out with my cousin who has lost a fantastic 27lb :goodvibes She looks the best I have ever seen her and if she can do it, so can I. I need to lose 21lb to be in a healthy range and I go away 2 August. If I could lose 14lb by then I'll be a happy bunny. Come on, we can do it! :banana:

welcome claire, i am in the same boat as you, i want to lose 21lbs before we go away on the 3rd august! :)

Hi Everybody :wave2:

I have just started a diet (again) and I would like to be able to join this group so that I can give and receive some advice and encouragement.

I have spent most of my adult life dieting on and off, but what can we do except keep on trying ??? :confused3

I have had successes in the past, I managed to lose 4 stone once but unfortunately have put it back on plus some.

So, anyway, here we go again. I feel really motivated at the moment and know from past experience that I usually feel like this for the first 3-4 weeks and then something will happen, a family crisis or a bad day at work, I fall off the wagon and can't seem to get back on again. That will be when I need you guys to keep me going.

I started again last week after falling off the diet wagon with a resounding crash! :teeth:

Will be weighing in tomorrow - I am aiming to lose 23lb before I go to Florida in 9 and a half weeks.

Im starting my diet again today, I hope to lose 2 stone like I did last year, so I wont be weighing in this week but will start from next week if that is ok, as I took my first reading this morning.

I'll join in i've managed to lose a stone but i'm struggling i seem to be stuck at the weight i am now need to lose some before going to disney in november.

Well, I've stayed the same this week but I think I got off lightly considering I've not been that good again. I really must get motivated now as there's only 21 weeks till my holiday and I really want to shift at least another stone before then. I am going to aim to lose 2lbs this week :goodvibes
 
Only lost 1lb this week. Was hoping for more after gaining 4lb in the last 3 wekks, butat least its going in the right direction again. Seem to do really well during the day, but fall apart after 7pm and look for snacks and rubbish all the time. :confused3 Any tips?

Sara well done on losing 1lb, i know you were hoping for more, but dont be disheartened, keep going and you will probably find that it will fall off next week. I also find that i am really good in the day,but at night time when i sit down then i just feel like picking even though i dont really want it! i think part of the problem is boredom with nothing to do at night time! So i go and have a nice long bath, or go to bed earlier and read a book. I have bought myself a lovely dress (i never ever where dresses!) for my hols and this is a size smaller, i have this hanging outside my wardrobe as a reminder of where i want to be with my weight.
I'm sure the other dis dieters will be along to help you with some ideas to conker the snack attacks.
