The Dis( Shanghai, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong editions)

In light of all the videos and interest in the new Shanghai rides, was wondering if Pete would could consider branching out and getting a podcast from people who live in these areas.

I mean we already have the disneyland edition which is pretty good

Would be nice to have insight on the those who live in the area and how they embrace disneyland

A lot of members of the team are going to China in 2017 for a ABD trip to Hong Kong and Shanghai. I'm sure they will talk about it then. They also did a segment on Tokyo with someone who had been there a while back.

A lot of members of the team are going to China in 2017 for a ABD trip to Hong Kong and Shanghai. I'm sure they will talk about it then. They also did a segment on Tokyo with someone who had been there a while back.

I was thinking what might be cool is prior to that trip they cover each park as preparation for the trip and give an overview .. and then they could recap when they get back

and I would be more than happy to cover Hong Kong Disneyland

I'm planning a Tokyo trip and I've come to find there is very little info on these boards. I've had to look elsewhere.

Planning materials at all about Tokyo is a bit hard to come by. I'm relying on two blogs and YouTube videos for the most part.

I've only been listening for 2 years and only gone back to 2013 and I think she's told her story at least 4 times in that time, those who have listened for a long time would have heard it much more

Yep, there was one time recently when she talked about it. It's a subject that always gets me choked up with how she talks about it.

We're doing two days in Hong Kong, 1 for disney and one for the city.

Then two weeks in Japan. 4 days in Disney then we'll go to Hiroshima, Kyoto and we haven't decided where else yet.

The planning is hard. I've had to go to different sources for dining, hotels, crowd calendars and so on. Still haven't found a decent disney character source at all. Kenny the pirate needs to move to Japan.

I'm so used to relying on the dis for planning. The Japan dl forum here is helpful for some things, but it's not too active. Has a couple good trip reports, though one of the best is 4 years old.

Yes I'm reading along and enjoying it . It's been very helpful for Hong Kong, but Hong Kong seems alot easier than Tokyo.

I just hope the new explorers hotel at Hong Kong is open when I go.

I would also spend some days in Tokyo that are outside of Disney. I've been to Japan before but the trip I was on didn't go to Disney so I won't be much help with that kind of planning.

Oh yes. We are doing a couple days in Tokyo besides disney. Any tips? We like history and video game/pop culture type stuff or unusual things like the cat cafes.
