Cool! Im trying to get dh to take some machining programing classes. They offer it at our local Tech. School, and I know that he would really like doing something like that. but he is scared to try something new. Its not like he would have to change jobs or anything, but it would bump him up to a different classification at work. Plus a HUGE raise. I dont know... We talked about it this weekend, and I really wish he would. Other wise he might just get stagnant at his job.. And I dont want that for him. He is only 32, and I dont want him getting burned out so young.

That sounds great. Hopefully he will change his mind. My bf went to Devry and he realized he did not want to pursue a career in the computer field. He loves computers, wrote and sold his own programs before but he said it would be too stressful. His mom pushed him to become a pharmacy tech. He likes it but he's become more stressed since he is now a supervisor too. I think taking the class may help relieve stress for him.

Why on earth does he need bifocals already??? I still dont' have them, and I'm old enough to be his... older sister. :rotfl:

He has lazy eye, he has had to wear bifocals since he was a teen. He got it from his mom... she never had it corrected, and it is CREEPY looking! its no wonder the kids are scared of her!:lmao: :lmao:

Japanese is hard. IT has like 200 letter alphabet.

I took it in High School. Its like, HAAAARD. :\

I heard. I think any language is hard but once you get the hang of it, it gets easier. Mandarin is hard. I'm glad I learned from a young age! :faint:

Russian is hard. English is hard (because of all the exceptions to its rules, and all the borrowing from other languages.) Comparatively speaking, Japanese is breezy! :rotfl:

so pix are you going to speak mandarin to us at our meet? speaking of...did anybody tell albort to come?

My bf used to work at a small pharmacy where everyone was Russian and spoke in Russian. He felt out of place and tried to figure out what they were saying. :rotfl2:

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Im so excited!! I have stated looking at my clothes, trying to decide what to pack.

Dh did that when he was younger, and the classes were so boring for him. But with his LD issues, I think he had a lot of trouble concentrating. Which is why I think he is not wanting to go to school for this Machining Class.

I hope so!! All you ladies can dazzle os with your foreign language skills. ;)

ALBORT!! COME!!!

I told him.

I think I heard that Chinese dialects are hard because there are so many and the pronunciation is different in each. Even the voice pitch going up or down changes the meaning of a word. That would be hard!

I tease the heck out of my bf....to this day I joke how he went to Devry and paid all that money just to learn how to beat Marvel VS Capcom in their arcade. :lmao:

It also depends on what provence one comes from. My grandma on my dad's side speaks like the actors in Chinese soap operas. :rotfl: My grandma on my mom's side has a completely different tone. I taught my boyfriend some words and it's funny when he says it because it says it in a sing-song tone. :rotfl2:

Dang! You've pretty much already seen mine! :lmao:

OK, hard to keep the eyelids up, so I'm going to give up now. Have a good night, all! (Geesh! Took me 3 tries to type that! I must be tired!) :cloud9:
