The only time I had someone do my hair and makeup was when I took pictures in Taiwan (back in high school). I had a whole album of pics and I felt like a model. :cutie:

:lmao: :lmao: I am loud when I put on makeup! Oh CRAP... What the heck? I didnt mean to do THAT!! Wow... That looks bad. Then you hear the water run, and we start all over again. :lmao: :lmao:
OK, I'm sure Melody doesn't do that...

The only time I had mine done was when I got married. I had my hair done at the salon in the hotel, and it was GORGEOUS!! My mom sprung for it, and I am so glad she did.. It took about an hour or so, and it stayed up for 16 hours or so? Well... longer then that really, When I woke up in the morning it was still up. Then my mom and my sister did my makeup... I was one HOT looking bride! So Hot... I was almost late for my own wedding. THATS how long it takes for me to look good!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

But it was worth it.. Dh was blown away! ;)

Night Melody!!

I still need to get my hair re-done. We brought the boys somewhere else, they did an excellent job on Noah's hair-- cute cute cute! We've been playing with gel and spiking it in front. :goodvibes

CUTE!! I wish I could do something with Alex's hair.. He REALLY wants a mohawk.. I KNOW! I dont mind doing it, in the summer.. But it just wouldnt work on his hair. He has super curly hair, obviously... and if I dont have it cut really short, its just a big fro.

Well I need to bid you a good night!

Oh and Alex, I forgot to ask you if you had read "Color Me Beautiful? I did years ago, and I have forgotten alot of the "rules of thumb" in it. I looked around for my copy tonight, but couldn't find it. Anyways, was wondering if that is where you came up with your info.

Good Night!!!
No, I went to see a 'color consultant' when a co-worker brought her in her home to work with herself and her daughter. She invited others as a way to cut the cost, so I think we each paid like $20, and she brought in vivid color swatches and a big mirror. It was amazing the huge difference seeing yourself in good colors makes.

At the time I was wearing a lot of pastels because I thought that was the only thing that looked OK; actually they're NOT good on me, deeper dark colors are. :rotfl:

Anyway, it was very enlightening. :)

Night Melody!!
Oh, good night, Melody! :cloud9:

I've never had my hair "done". I've toyed with the idea of doing a glamour shots kind of thing (way back when everyone was doing it), but I never did.

The day I felt prettiest was definitely my wedding day. My hair was long and a bit curly (that took forever, and it didn't last very long!) and even though I did my own makeup, it looked nice and natural. :)

:rotfl2: aww... I like his hair now. :thumbsup2

So do I.. I think both of my kids have ridiculously beautiful hair... But theres no accounting for the kids taste!:lmao: I hope Mikalah NEVER does anything to her hair, but I grew up with hair like that, so I know what she is in for.

:thumbsup2 Awesome! its nice that our wedding days could be the days that we felt the prettiest, isnt it? One of the happiest days of our lives, and all that. I know that I wasnt looking to good on my other happy days... Having just given birth and all. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Not JUST a mohawk... a RED mohawk!:lmao: :lmao: He's little, it would be cute! But not with his hair.
There was a kid in DS7's grade that had a mohawk at the beginning of the school year. I think it was bright blue, then kinda turned an ugly greenish color as it faded. :scared:

And a question: If you were handed a flyer for a young girl offering baby sitting services, and the young girl looked maybe jr.. high age, had piercings, the thick black raccoon eye make-up, and shoved the flyer at you as she stood around chatting with a gaggle of about 4 or 5 girlfriends... Would you use her? :confused3

I didn't think it was a very good marketing strategy. :rotfl2:

 UH.... NO! Not just no, mind you.. but HELL NO! I dont think I would have ANY Jr. High kid babysit for me... Much less one that did THAT!! Actually, thats a lie. If my niece was closer, I would let her watch the kids.. Only because I know she loves them to pieces, and would ever let anything happen to them.... and my sister would bust her butt if something DID happen!:lmao: :lmao:

Yes, definitely. And normally I'm really nervous about big things like that. I did all the preparations myself, with a little input from DH. He basically didn't want to have to do anything but choose the tuxes and plan the honeymoon.

Anyway, I was eerilly calm that day. Nothing in the world bothered me. Not when the minister didn't show and they had to ask me for his phone number. Not when he arrived with beer on his breath (which freaked out a friend of mine whose dad is a minister.) I was happy little Mary Sunshine, you'd swear I was on something. :lmao:
