OK, so it's not top 'o the page BUT I got post # 5100! :woohoo:

Stoopid cable guys.:lmao:

RJ - got an email from the football pool webmaster!:cool1: WE ROCK!:cool1:

Rain and wind have tapered off here. Thank goodness. It was coming down in buckets a little while ago. DH and DD went to see National Treasure 2 they liked it.

Been trying to book a "we want to play in the snow" trip to Tahoe for next weekend. Huh. Funny thing. Priceline offers are being rejected. Like they are expecting a big influx of people to ski or something.

So been doing a whole lot of nothing here. Watching it rain sideways. Little laundry putting away. Tahoe trip planning. You know. The usual.:sad2: :rolleyes1

 Hey - can you still ship alcohol to the ship? I know Cheri did that last time. Anybody know? If not, I am gonna be looking like the Queen of Lushes when I pull up with my 30 pack of Miller Lite, case of Sam Adams, 2 boxes of wine and whatever else I need!

:cool1: Yep that's right:cool1:

Just kidding. Please no bowing. It's embarrassing.:lmao:

No shipping booze to the cruise says Cheri. Bummer. Guess I have to find me one of those rolling soft sided coolers.

WOW! I'm impressed O Football Queen!:thumbsup2 (Now, who's gonna win our Wild Card game tomorrow?!) OH - and I take it that none of ya'll know how to make the little tiny hotdog thingys?:sad1: Rosie & I have been working hard all evening to get ready for the football crew to invade tomorrow. Actually, it shouldn't be that bad. One couple and the neighbor guy behind us (unless DH is hiding someone else on his list...). Our neighbor is from India and doesn't eat meat - unless he's drunk & watching football.:rotfl2: He will eat just about anything after a few Amstels!:lmao:

Do you think DCL would object to you rolling on a little red wagon full of booze under the pretense that it belongs to your kiddos?! Put a luggage tag on that bad boy with SW & let 'er rip!:lmao: (Hey we saw pics of RJ racing the luggage carts @ VB....there could be worse things!)

So, how far away are you CA peeps from Tahoe? I hear "out west skiing" is very different from skiing here. (Not as damp & cold for one thing! OK, 2 things) But I was thinkin' if I ever learned to ski (and that's a BIG if) that would be a cool place to trade for w/ our DVC points. Of course, we'd have to do the trade like 2 years out!:rotfl2: So that gives me awhile to learn to stand up on the things!:rotfl:

Sorry Annie, I don't ski....

I do however, wear cute warm clothes and drink yummy drinkies by the lodge fireplace!:lmao:

Annie - we are about 3 hours from Tahoe. My favorite resorts are Squaw Valley and Heavenly.

And if you make it out here let us know.

And yes, skiing out west is a whole lot different than skiing in the east. When we lived there we were invited to ski in New York. The "hill" elevation was about 700' vertical feet. :confused3 :lmao: You call that skiing!? We gracefully declined. Skiing overlooking a lake - thats what I like. Tahoe or Big Bear. Its all good. And cute clothes. And warm drinks.:thumbsup2

So a red soft-sided wagon cooler? I think I can find one of those!

Hot dog things? Would you like those in a blanket or just wienies in a crockpot?

35 min 5 min prep

1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce (I use Heinz)
1 cup grape jelly
1-3 lb Little Smokies sausage (cocktail sausages)

Mix all ingredients.
Cook in crockpot for one hour or on stove top for 30 minutes.
(I personally like mine to cook slowly for a longer time until sauce thickens and is clinging to the sausages.)

And you neighbor should be OK - I believe Lil Smokies are mostly pork!:thumbsup2

Cool beans! Now what if they wore blankets? What do u do then? That's more time consuming, right? If I get time in the morning I'll run out to the store for more supplies!:thumbsup2

LOL about the neighbor! He's supposed to be a strict vegetarian I think. Except when he drinks. It's funny to see him try stuff for the first time. His eyes get real big & he says "This is good" and he sounds a little like that guy from the 7-11 on The Simpsons!:rotfl2: I don't think he lets on to his wife about his sins tho!

:lmao:

Cocktail Pigs in a Blanket

1pkg cocktail wieners
1/2 Cup jack cheese or colby jack
2 pkgs crescent rolls

Directions
Unroll crescent rolls.
Cut each crescent roll into thirds, making 3 small, long triangle strips.
Sprinkle shredded cheese over triangles.
Starting at one end, roll hot dogs in crescent.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve with barbecue sauce or ketchup for dipping.

There you go! Enjoy your game! I get the weekend off from being interested in football. Getting my hair done instead. :thumbsup2

:worship: Thank you Johnna!! I always wanted that little recipe - I don't know WHY...I don't think I've ever had them with cheese tho! Guess I need to get my rear in gear if I want to run to the store 'eh? Question - is the recipe with the grape jelly & chili sauce the same one that some ppl use on meatballs? (Mulit-purpose is always a good thing!)

Have fun getting your hair done today!

Since DH was working on New Years our Xmas tree still needs to come down - but I'm thinkin' that will have to wait for tomorrow...'cuz then I will have to re-clean! It's starting to lean a little bit!:scared: We keep waiting to hear a crash! We also need to hook up with a neighbor to help haul it out since it's so big.

How are the storms in CA? Still getting hit hard? Stay safe ya'll!! I just saw footage of everything on the news.:scared1: 10 feet of snow in the mountains!? Whoa!

OK - where's Betsy? Hope whatever the procedure was went well...

CamColt - answers to my thread on the DVC boards were to use Garden Grocer for delivery - except you have to BE there when the order is delivered to receive alcohol & that wastes time waiting (you need a $40 min. order) OR apparently the Hess gas stations on the property sell beer - but I don't think the Disney buses are gonna stop for us:sad2: OR rent a car on Sat. & run off property - which I was debating about renting a car one-way to go to the port anyway. I need to find the Budget place in DTD....

RJ - I don't ski either - I TRIED last winter to learn - I took several lessons anyway - but I'm a train wreck! Lucy on skis! I was ready for the hot tub & a bottle of the Captain afterwards!:goodvibes

CamColt - LOOK! This poster said they ordered alcohol & had it delivered early & that it was at the front desk when they checked in! I am going to visit this website and look for a phone number to call & confirm that they will do this!:cool1:

"If you are stressed about the driving and finding your way around, I would really consider Garden Grocer or WeGoShop. We have ordered alcohol from GG on our last 2 trips with no issue at all. We did not have to be present for delivery...they left it at the front desk and it was waiting for us when we checked in.

As other said, you have to type in your order on the "special comments" box on GG website. This is really MUCH less hassle than renting a car (unless you plan to use the car for other items)."

:cool1: Go Annie! Found an alcohol delivery driver!! The question remains however....will they be a cute as me!?:lmao:

Storms...currently clear here now. Have not seen rain totals yet. More rain expected around noon today. Not as much rain or wind but they say this storm will be alot colder. Snow levels down to 1000 feet - which in CA is pretty rare. Then Sunday looks clear and more rain for the beginning of the week.

Anybody have an update on Betsy?

Thats pretty much how I do my meatballs(that Im still eating from NYE). I do 2 jars of both jelly and chili sauce, heat them in a pan until they are mixed together. Pour the sauce and frozen little meatballs in a crock pot and let sit for a few hours (or longer...whatever works), mixing ocassionally.

Rosie's down in the basement working now...she just got stuck under the sofa! She has a few bugs I need to work out yet - she's not completely independent! But I still love her!:lovestruc

Well, DH thinks I already have enough food for just the few of us that will be here this time around - I mean, I already bought like 4 diff. bags of munchies (from chips to doritos to pita chips & tostitos) plus 3 diff. lunchmeats & 3 diff. cheeses and lettuce & tomato & 2 bags of rolls for the little sandwich platter...olives...cheese cubes....the spinich & brie dip....strawberries....and ummm there's only 6 of us. I really, really want to make those little hot dog thingys but so I think I will do them for the Super Bowl party (yes RJ, we already know who's hosting the Super Bowl party this year:rotfl:) .

TRM - there is NO WAY the Garden Grocer delivery guy will be as cute as you!! Rest assured!

It is supposed to warm up to the lower 60's on Mon. & Tues.! That is like open your windows & air out the house weather!!:woohoo: The snowblower got delivered yesterday...the box looks a lot smaller than I expected...I asked DH when he will assemble it. I think he's going to wait for the first snowfall that we need it - and then he probably won't have gas for it either!:rotfl2: Oh! My man! He's sumthin' else!:rotfl:

:scared1: PAGE TWO!!

Annie - it's a good thing your DH has you to plan that snow blower action for him!

And Go Washington! They are kicking it right now.

Getting sick of the rain here! Sick sick sick of it.

Hey gang fomr 10/05 cruise - Luckey from Vegas says hello!

OK - gonna go look something up online.

How is Betsy?

Page 2??? :scared1: Busy Saturday all around, I guess. Work work work, laundry, basketball, Colts friend came over, now my nieces are here(one neded our computer for something for school).

Sorry the game didnt go better for you, Annie, but I hope you had fun at the party anyway.

Online again.:rotfl: Baby is screaming right now so I am hoping she goes to sleep. Bad Mommy.

I think I have the travel bug something fierce. Must not want to stay home. Tahoe, Vegas, Disneyland, Cruising, WDW, Hawaii. I have been checking it all out.:surfweb:

Katie - I think my cousin is going to hook us up with the So Cal Fire Special 3-day hoppers! 3 days for $55? Sounds to good to be true. Though I am hoping its not.

Annie - sorry about the wildcard game outcome.

Wonder where everyone else is?:confused3
