It is just behind the Astro Orbiter, kind-of in between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, just off of the hub...by Ariel's Grotto (next to Matterhorn)

That is why I wanna go!! But now that I think about it. Veterans Day is 11/12 - the Halloween decorations won't still be up me thinks and neither will the Christmas decorations.

I went in November last year and the Halloween decos were still up. I can't remember when we went though.

It's reeeeally hard to justify the cost of a hotel when we are less than an hour from the House. The school thing kinda messes the whole thing up, too.

Just heard on the news a confirmation to a rumor I saw on the DVC boards the other day! Disney is going to build an 800 room hotel on Oahu to open in 2011!!!!!!!!!
How super cool is THAT?! 2011 is our next scheduled year for Hawaii too! (Every 5 years)! We'd already planned to "trade out" of DVC for a week on Maui - but now we can add a few days on Oahu too!!! (Anybody wanna bet they tie it into cruises to Hawaii once they have the new ships? I mean, it would most likely be the Magic 'cuz of the Panama Canal thing but still..................... 2011 Hawaii.... 2012 another cruise...............
(PS) I had to use all the banana guys 'cuz there's no smiley handy that's wearing a grass skirt and I don't know how to go find them & insert them!

I got a news update about that Disney Hawaii purchase a couple of days ago as well!! WOO HOO! Steve & I were talking and just venturing a guess that since the resort is supposed to be opening in 2011, and one of the new ships is due in 2011 that MAYBE they will be doing a Hawaiian cruise! Wouldn't that be amazing?
I know airfare to Hawaii is KILLER, but that is something I really, REALLY want to do.

I'm with you Sue Ellen. I wanted to go to Hawaii for my honeymoon but DH convinced me to do a cruise and WDW instead (and he says Im the Disney freak??? ). So Hawaii has always been my "I will get there someday" place.
It would cost an arm and a leg, but I'm guessing it would be so worth it.

Ok gang, should we all start the Hawaiin DCL envelope now?

I have only been there once. Beano has been twice and our kids have never been. I would like to go again.

We try to go to Hawaii every 5 years...LOVE it! We have a friend who's a CM & he forwarded the internal announcement to me - there will also be DVC units too!! Now I REALLY want more points!!! As far as airfare...we save points / miles.... Last time we were able to transfer Amer. Express rewards points to Delta Skymiles....got all 3 flights covered!! I'm also "collecting" miles on a miles credit card....strange thing to collect I know...
