Hi - hope everyone's having a nice weekend... We've had a nasty virus running thru our house since Wed. First me, then DS got it Thurs nite. NASTY! I still don't feel quite up to par (no appetite). My parents & an Aunt & Uncle were supposed to come for the weekend & they cancelled so they wouldn't take the bug back home with them. Mom was supposed to make her scalloped potatoes for dinner Sun. I think I'll just do mac & cheese instead now since it will just be us and my MIL & DH's step bro (is there an abbreviation for that?). Was looking forward to Mom's cookin' tho!

I've been wiping light switches & door knobs & toilets with Lysol wipes like everytime one of us touches something Now stripping beds trying to wash the bug away with a little hot water . Great way to spend a Saturday!

32 when I got up this AM. Too darn cold out there to just open the windows & air the place out! Brrrrr. CamColt - did you get a lot of snow? We only had a dusting...which was PLENTY for me to see in April...

Just went out to skim some petals & leaves off the top of my pond...38 FREAKING degrees!!!!!!!!!!! Fish are NOT happy right now!!

I'm with you, Annie. Its way too cold to be Easter. It's not even early this year and its way too cold. We got about about 1 or 2 inches, then it turned to slush for a while. Most of its gone now, but we still have some white patches here and there.

I spent most of the day today cooking fro tomorrow...sauce, meatballs, eggplant parm, and macaroni salad. I'm so happy to just sit down now. I think its time to make myself a drink.

Easter has been cancelled at The White House!

DH woke up with the Nasty flu bug at 5:30 this AM. Just when I thought all of my sanitizing was gonna prevent him from getting it!
More Lysol. More wiping down door knobs & light switches & computer keyboards. Sigh.
Gotta call MIL & tell her I don't think it's wise for her to come to dinner as I am quarantining DH to our room. I CANNOT let this bug go thru this house again. And I DO NOT want this bug again myself.

Yummmm....Sauce, meatballs & eggplant sound much better to me than my dumb ole ham & asparagus & deviled eggs etc.!! Have a good dinner! Sounds delish!

(Oh, BTW, our last name is White - which is why I phrased my first sentence that way. )

LOL! I have a friend whose last name is White and her parents used to have a sign outside their house that said "The White House".

Sorry you are going through this bug again, Annie. Ugh!

We are doing the ham, potato salad and all that stuff too, but Mom is in charge of that. We gotta have some Italian at every holiday.
