Nope on the Fire & Ice. And what's a Duck Tour?:confused3 We don't ever go downtown here either and look at all the FREE stuff we can do with the whole Smithsonian & all...:sad2:

Fire & Ice is a restaurant where you go around and pick out the the stuff you want, bring it to the grill and they cook it for you. Like the thing that stands out from the 1 other time Ive been was I picked bananas and chocolate chips, brough them up and asked for pancakes. They then cooked them right there for me. Heres the link http://www.fire-ice.com/

And the Duck Tours are little car/boat things that go around the city on land and in the water. http://www.bostonducktours.com/ Check out the virtual tour there. Its pretty cool.

Dr. Cheri says yes to the wine but NO to mixing with medi. Might as well not take it if'n you're gonna drink lot's. (Bad things to your liver it does)

thanks for the recipes, but you have to cook the pasta first? I thought the whole point of crock cooking was minimal effort (OK, so boiling pasta isn't tough, I know)...p.s. Velveeta? :crazy2:

I've been making door signs. Anyone besides Betsy and me decorate their doors?

Yikes, mixing=bad!

I'm the least creative person on earth, but on our Mexican Riviera cruise back in 05 another kind diser made door signs for everyone in the group.

Pretty cool!

CamColt - both of those look like fun! We have a place in Bethesda that I used to go to for lunch when I worked down there called "BD's Mongolian Grill" that worked like that (except with an Asian flair). You get your bowl & fill it up with whatever meat & vegies & sauces & spices & they grill it up for you. It was fun! Enjoy! The Duck Tour thing looks fun too - you guys have a fun time planned!

I went for an eye exam for MY eyes this am. It had been 3 1/2 yrs - and I could tell I needed a change in my RX - both in my reg. vision and my bifocal. I was there forever trying to pick out frames...I had already sorta found a pr. when I was there with DS then today the Doc said I should try to get a wider lens to accomodate my bi-focal better - but all of the frames are so-o narrow these days! The sales guy measured the width on the one I wanted & said it wasn't wide enough so I spent all this time looking for something else - had a really hard time with the size thing...THEN this other girl measured the orig. one I wanted & we discovered that it came in 2 diff. sizes!! So we dug around in the bottom drawer & managed to find a pair in the wider size!! Then there was the RX sunglass frame dilema! Oh my! My decision making process SUCKS! Anyway, those will be ready this afternoon, but the lenses for my regular glasses had to be ordered 'cuz of the non-glare stuff. But they were having a great sale (50% off lenses) that ends today so I was determined to get something picked out & ordered since featherweight, no lines bifocal, transitions, non-glare, scotchguarded runs a lot of bucks!:rotfl: Today's styles just make it really hard for some RX's tho!

:woohoo: Making mac & cheese Making mac & cheese:woohoo:

Did I mention I love Mac & Cheese!?

It's rainy here today so seems like a perfect idea. Thanks Annie!:thumbsup2

Soccer game...check. Won 3-0 - rain started lightly at end of 2nd half. So that was perfect.

Baby napping. check.

Football picks. check.

Door signs. check. We changed our sign every day. We did the Halloween cruise so on Halloween we really did up our door. Coolest things I had were little flashing skull magnet thingies. Most of those were "borrowed" by other cruisers. We ended up with none on our door. But door signs :thumbsup2 The Dis forum was very helpful with ideas. Others more creative than me - they even helped me do our family t-shirts.

In-laws are on their way. YIPPEE. Guess the guys are going to the Giants game in the rain. Although radar is showing SF to be clear right now.

Have fun on the Duck tour CamColt! I have seen those car/boats around -looks like fun!

RJ! Did you not read those posts!?

Never ever choose Oakland!

;)

Watch them win.....

We tried a new strategy this week. Let's see if it works....

Good morning...

TRM - how was your mac & cheese? Ya'll made me crave a crockpot roast so I picked one up to make this week when I went to the store to get the stuff for the Chicken Wing Dip (yummmy cream cheese & Frank's Hot Sauce). I have a couple of girlfriends from my last job coming over this afternoon for the game & of course DH will be taking off around Noon with his buddies to go... So I'm splitting the dip into 2 dishes - one "to go" for DH's tailgating & one for me to keep:) It makes enough that I should have plenty left from mine to take to work tomorrow (the girls there were hinting that they wanted me to make it again). My one friend that's coming over today is also a Capt. Morgan fan so we should have an interesting afternoon!

I'm beginning to think that I'm never going to get those darned shrubs trimmed.....

What's everybody else doing today?

Sounds alot like our day - gotta start it off with Howie Long and the gang - add in a little screaming baby, dishes and laundry and VIOLA!

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Oh - and Annie - don't worry about the shrubs. They will still be there next weekend. Or the weekend after that. Heck they will most likely still be there
next year!

Have fun all you football fans. Chris and Timmy are going to see Styz/Journey/someone else tonight and Cassie and I are shopping for Halloween stuff (we have to wade thru the Christmas stuff at Target to find it first). Hmmm... 2 years ago I was putting together a Halloween box to ship to Port Canaveral. That was much mo betta than thinking about stringing lights in the trees... Oh, forgot to mention the :laundy: . My life is soooo exciting :rotfl2:

Happy Sunday All!!!

Sarah - got PM
Beano - hey, it only took 'em 20 hours to get my internet back up. sheesh!

i took down my halloween box from the loft...last year I put all my halloween / fall stuff together in a big box..very organized of me!

We did buy a headstone at target last weekend. the bottom was cracked but no one will see it sitting in the yard..they gave me 20% off it..I have a flood light shining on it very creepy!!

this time last year I was packing for my cruise...bummer..can't wait till next year. Mom has decided to let Kate stay in her room (2 doors down) so that will free up space if Nick decides to "grace" us. I wish Bob and Johnnie and Eric(?) would start working on him..he has a myspace page he is on every day..maybe you all can get him convinced
