Let me start by saying that Disneyland is my favorite Disney park.

The first few times I listened to the Dis Disneyland Edition I wasn't sure it was going to work. However, the last few shows have been getting better and better and I'm enjoying the interaction between the hosts. They seem to be getting more comfortable with eachother.

And it's starting to get a bit of a California feel to it. Not sure how to describe exactly what that is, but I've noticed it in other podcasts coming out of CA.

And the segments have been getting better also. I really enjoyed the last podcast when they reviewed the new restaurants and Goofy's Sky School at DCA.

Keep it up.

I've listened to every show...I agree that they seem to be getting more comfortable with each other....it's nice to hear about DL...was only there twice many, many years ago.

I agree, my husbands job relocated us to Arizona in January and I cried every day because I could no longer head to the World several times a year. Thanks to Pete's and the west coast team's praise of DL, we finally made our first trip to DL over Easter weekend and promptly upgraded our WDW annual pass to a Premier Pass. I love the golden ticket!! We have made the drive to DL every month since.

Our favorite things to do thanks to the podcast are:

Candy Palace - thanks to Nancy I spend at least $40 here (that is with my AP discount) every time we go!
Bengal Barbecue - the spicy beef skewers are amazing and at a little over $3 a great deal (again thank you Nancy)
I alway bring home a bag of Chocolate Caramel Popcorn to enjoy at home (Thanks Wayne!)

I agree the team is becoming more comfortable with each other and hopefully I can meet them on one of our trips!

i enjoy the dl podcasts as well. however the sound quality could be better, but i am sure that will be worked out in time.

Just curious? What is a Californa feel to a podcast? :) (asked the person from California?) :rotfl:

Ditto to what everybody else said. I'm just happy to actually know what they are talking about when say a restaurant or attaction name. :)

I'd like to know, too. :)

And totally agree. ;)

Bengal barbecue.... mmmm.

I'm so behind on all the podcasts, so I haven't listening to the DL ones in a while. I usually listen in the car on the way to work, but since I'm off for the summer I'm out of my routine. I need to get back on that.

I've never been to Disneyland but I'm headed out there this summer to run the Disneyland Half Marathon. I've really been enjoying the podcasts and they've been helping me to get excited about the trip. I'm especially amused by the restaurant reviews.

I have been going to WDW for so long that I've abandoned "commando" touring but I think I need have a commando trip at Disneyland.

Can't wait!

Disneyland crew: Could you tell me what you each think is THE MOST important thing for a Disneyland rookie to do on a short trip out west? I'm arriving Friday, running the race Sunday and heading home on Monday, so it's a real whirlwind tour. I hope to get to both DL and CA on the visit. I know I'm not going to get to do/see/eat everything so I'm interested in what you all think is absolutely essential to get the DL experience.

(I'm guessing that the answer will be Pirates but who knows!)

Agreed! I've been meaning to post something for a long time, but I REALLY enjoy the DL podcast. WDW is my "home" park, and though I've been to DL once it is quite unfamiliar to me...even exotic! I do plan visiting DL again soon, and the podcast is a great resource.

I really love hearing about the history of the park. I thought Wayne's walkthrough of POTC was FASCINATING -- couldn't get enough, I missed so many of those details on my visit. I would definitely love to hear more content along those lines as it is available/relevant.

Thanks so much DL team, keep up the good work!

We agree; we love the Disneyland show! :thumbsup2 Since we've been going to Disneyland lately, we really love listening (always multiple times)! While everyone on the team is wonderful, we especially love Wayne's features. They are informative, and his enthusiasm totally takes us there.

I haven't been paying much attention to these up till now. Yes, I've listened, but only half heartedly. But...

Val & I are going to DL!!!! :cool1:

We're only going to be there for a few days so we've got to get all the best info on what to see/do in a short time. Fortunately we've got a few months to plan - we are join over the Veterans Day weekend.

Im liking it. I much prefer this format to the older one when they recorded in the park. All I could ever hear was the background noise. I really loved a few shows back where Wayne went in detail through Pirates. For someone who has not yet been to Disneyland ( ABD NEXT WEEK!) I loved how descriptive of it it was.
Love the Churo bets.

Good for you! We went over Veterans Day weekend last year (for my sister's birthday). That was the first day of the Christmas season so we got to see all the Christmas decorations. :thumbsup2 We are letting our APs lapse until next summer so no mid year trips for us this year. :sad2:

If anyone is looking for good DLR info and helpful people head on over the DLR forum on the Disboards. Be sure to check out Hydroguys DLR tips for WDW vets in one of stickies at the top. :thumbsup2

I'm a HUGE fan of the Cali Crew! I wonder if any of them are coming to Disapalooza?

Thanks everyone for the great comments. We really do enjoy hearing from you - both good and bad!

Jeff and Val - look forward to seeing you out here!

We would love to do a meet or two. I know we talked about having one when Tony runs the Tinkerbell Half Marathon in January and we are always up for meets. We all take PMs on the boards here and friend requests on FB, so feel free to ask if we are around when you are visiting. If there is enough interest, we'd love to get together with folks who are coming to D23.

We have some great segments planned in the future. Keep sticking with us and we'll do some fun things!

Love your tag Nancy! I guess I just missed it, but I just saw for the first time "the female Bob" :goodvibes LOVE it!
