Well We have Stacy Keibler and that tops both of them in my Eyes:lmao: .

She went to High school with my Neice and now DD goes there. I hope she comes for one of the Alumni functions:smokin: .

I know many of the old schoolers use to visit a cabin in PA when they were close by. My buddy had a cabin next to them and I got to meet a few (20+ years ago) like Big John Stud,Hacksaw,Hogan. I do think many have roots in that area.

I remember watchin Barnaby Jones...though not one of my favs.
I remember Barnaby Jones. We used to watch it all the time. The one time DW and I went to USH was in 1985. I'm sure it has changed a lot since then, but we really enjoyed it and remember the King Kong ride well, along with the rest of the burned areas. It is sad when such a classic piece of our lives and history are lost tragically like this.

Bruno is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He lives in the same neck of the north hills as I do and I'll run into him here or there.

I met George the Animal one nite in a great old place in Pittsburgh, Froggy's. Froggy's used to be a hangout of the sports celebrity types as well as some of Pittsburgh's finest. He was dining and I was drinking...a match made in heaven. I told him I just had to say hi, have a nice dinner, seeya! No turnbuckles or green tongue...just a pleasant hello!

Its really sad for me cause I am going to see US Ca.for the firsdt time this Oct. they will still probably be cleaning up the mess/rebuilding....but hopefully it will be bigger and better than ever with the make over

Hey Guys-

Just found this thread. I sent my DW the link and asked her if I fit the criteria. I have planned the last 3 trips to WDW. She said I fit almost all the criteria, except the toaster one.

GO Philly Eagles!!!! Go Red Wings!!!! and GO MSU SPARTANS!!!!!

Sign me up...... when do we meet at WDW for meetings and beer?!?!?!?

There's beer?

Sign me up!:cool1:

I won't admit to which of the criteria applies to me however :lmao:

Just found out about this thread and had to post.

I'm a Disney Dad too, I just didn't know it until last September when we went on our first family trip to WDW and my first REAL trip there. (The on in 1974 doesn't count!).

Oh, and I got lucky, I married an ex-CM!!!
Having your own personal tour guide is pretty sweet!

Hey, I wanna join. We recently became DVC members so we can do Disney a whole lot more often than we did in the past.:yay: We will be back at The World in July, and then again in January.:woohoo: My DW has always said I was her fourth (maybe first) boy and that is definitely even more true when we get to WDW. Lucky for me that DW enjoys it almost as much as I do.

i want in im a dis nut too, ive been there over 40 times and i just bought into SSR ... well let me know when the beer , and or margaritas start flowing , im there :moped: :cool1:

Hi all - glad to be a part of the group!!!!

Bill

Gotta add me to the list.

Although I would use the umbrella. :lmao:

82. Your passion for Disney is strong but you would rather get soaked before using your wife's/daughter's Tinker Bell umbrella.

I want in! I went to Disneyland three times in the past twelve months and it's a long way from Bremerton, WA. Our last trip we took Vickie's daughter Karen, Karen's dad, Bill (yes Vickie's ex-), and Annie, age 32 days and Lucky age 20 months. Lots of diapers, lots of fun?

Do I get in?

:welcome: WELCOME TO THE DIS DAD'S CLUB! :welcome:

Each of you have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

Sorry it has taken so long to get the list updated since last time. I'll make it a point to get the list updated at least once a week. Welcome again to all the new dads!

Don

Just curious... has the gas prices affected anyone's plans to head to Disney this year?

Heading to WDW, it won't affect us going. We have DVC points we need to use. But, the additional cost will probably hit in other areas like less meals out and less frills and/or souvenirs. We will just have to see how much gas prices continue to climb.....and if any weather related issues add to it like Katrina did.

Not here ...were flying to DL and already have the flight book as we noticed prices were going up...were lucky we got them before our fares did go up I mean

we drove down in december and we are going in 124 day 23 hours and 15min but whos counting.we have an 06 town &country (10k mikes on it and it has been to wdw 3 times) we use 100 gallons total trip.(about 2350 miles or so) we paid aver. $2.75-$2.80 in december and im fiq. $4.00 or so this time, so about $100.00 more. anymore whats a $100.00 in the grand picture of everything. i just wont eat lunch for a week or two. that will kill two birds with one stone.

Not yet anyway - more likely part of our 2009 plans will be affected in some manner. We budgeted for increases across the board for '08, and after last year, projected gas would be up around the middle of the $3's anyway. We'll be skipping some of the misc. local summer fare that we have enjoyed in previous years, as well as cutting a few other things so as to not impact our Disney trips.

Nope, I just think of that 3% payback from AmEx:thumbsup2

Seriously though, it won't affect the trip itself, because going to Disney is expensive and that is just the way it is. :confused3

As for everthing else though, it sure does. I won't be driving down to Rehoboth Beach Delaware to the Disney outlet (100 miles) every other weekend this summer to catch any deals.

All other trips yes . We do a great deal of Tri-state visiting for amusement and shopping and that will come to almost a complete stop.

I still have to travel for Paintball and I may have to cut back on that as well.

The only good thing for us is DW works only about 5 block so that drive is no big deal. I have a Company Van and they pay for all the gas. I also have started to drive it for some personal stuff as I only have to pay the taxes on some excess formula so it's cheap to do.

As for Disney this is really the only Place we can go and not worry about driving . Yes we do off-sight stuff and grocery runs but I don't think I have ever been through a tank of gas in the cars we get.

We are planning to drive down the Florida either the end of August or beginning of September. Our DD doesn't start Massage Therapy School until September 15th. We plan on spending a few days at OKW using our DVC points, and also spend a week at our vacation home in Lake County, FL which is about one hour drive north of WDW.

Hi everyone...give a big shout out if your wanting the Red Wings to win...lol My Grandmother moved to Detroit Before I was born so what ever team they had at the time was our team...lol Wings Up right now 1 to 0

Hello DIS Dad's:

We just got back from Disney and we had a great time. We drove from Morristown, TN to WDW and back, and the cost of fuel was about 120 dollars more than the trip we did last year. Fortunately we had received our stimulus check before our trip, so it was not that big of a factor.

I guess the only bad thing is that we are back and I have to go to work. Although it gives me reason to start planning for the next trip to WDW.
