We waited til the next day to fly too - it was a late afternoon reception, and since we were flying from LAX, we preferred to not be in a seated position on a plane all night So we flew the next day around noon.

Awesome wedding! I have a few additions. I too had a Mickey & Minnie cake topper. It was a last minute idea and I could not find one locally. I ended up calling the gift shop at the Contemporary and begged them to send it to DVC Hiltonhead Island. Unfortunately it arrived the day after our wedding. We have stuck it on a few other cakes so we feel like our efforts and money did not go to waste.

We did however have a Mickey wedding cake knife, and our ring bearer carried our rings on a little Mickey & Minnie wedding pillow.

We also went to WDW for our Honeymoon and four months earlier I proposed to my wife in the front seat of the Rockin' Roller Coaster just before take off! Believe it or not she was crazy enough to say yes.

How about adding that YOU were a CM yourself?

You could also add that you have a Mickey telephone (one of those old stand up kind from the 80's, like the large one reproduced at POP). I've got it on my bedside night table.

We also have a Mickey waffle iron and kitchen towels that we received as wedding gifts.

The cake topper on our wedding cake was Mickey & Minnie.

Also, the music playing as you were announced at the reception hall as husband and wife was BAROQUE HOEDOWN...better known as the theme from THE MAIN STREET ELECTRICAL PARADE.

After changing out of your tuxedo at the end of your wedding's recption, you wore a Disney tie as you headed off to begin your honeymoon - which was ultimately at WDW (it was Goofy, BTW)

These are just a few more I was thinking about tonight since we had Mickey waffles for dinner!

That is one wedding I would have loved to have witnessed! It makes me want to get married all over again! By the way, all of these have been added to the amendments!

We did this as a family trip in 05 it was so much fun.

Are you staying in SanD to get both Seaworld and SanD Zoo in or are you driving back and forth.

We did DL, Knotts, then drove down to SW spent the night there and did SanD Zoo and then back to US and finished a few days a DL. It was called the Southern Califoria pass or something and we added the US as it was Knotts at the time.

I think it's called a City Pass... and it is pretty cool. They have a link for it, an option to upgrade even, when selecting park tickets on the DL website - at least if you order a vacation package.

Yes thats where I got mine when I did the package. Then we decided to just stay the night down in SanD so I booked a cheap room for the one night down there. I just didn't want to drive back and forth or cut park time short worring about the drive. It worked out real well.

We will be doing it again maybe in 2010 or for a short 4 or 5 day trip between our WDW APs

Knotts is Knottsberry Farm Amusement park it's real close to Disney ( Think SixFlags type) It was part of the Pass at the time but I would not go back.

US is Universal Studios this at the time was not part of the pass but we added it for a day and went up . We also hit several of the beaches in the areas as well.

Gettin geared up for the big game tonight. Not into pro hoops so really didn't care that the pistons lost last night. But hockey, now there's a MAN's sport.

Thanks... we want to go to some of the beaches as well...maybe a couple...I think it will be too cold in Late Oct. ... Do you know when the beaches close down for swimming?
