Hi everybody. This forum is such a great place to hang, so many good things happening, Fed being home, Chill having a baby. I get a chance to read all the new posts but don't get a chance to write as much as I'd like to.
I'd like to give a tiny bit of advice if I may. There are a lot of dads here with little ones, some with very new little ones. Enjoy every second you can with your children. The time goes faster than you can imagine, they grow up too fast and before you realize, they are heading out on their own. My son will be heading out to college this coming August, It seems like only last year when he was born. My daughter no longer wants "daddy" to chaperone class trips any longer. Watching them grow is one of the best things you will ever experience, when they laugh, cry
, give you big squishy hugs
(you can never get too many hugs)
, when they embarrass you out in public with some of the things they say
, it's all amazing. As they get older you sometimes feel as if they don't need you as much, although they do. You do the best you can guiding them, teaching them as they grow into young adults and when they head out you hope you did enough
.
My Uncle once told me:
"You need a license to drive a car, a permit to work on your house, you even need a license to catch a fish, but any knucklehead can be a father. It takes someone special to be a DAD."
Enjoy all the time you can and remember, it doesn't take a lot of money or material things to be a good dad, just all your love and your time.
I totally agree!!!
My sweet
