Home to watch Heat. Yeah.
reciatal?, meaning one? no es???? we have one this friday night, one sat. noon, one sat night and one sunday at noon. this is recital #15 years in a row for me. what i did 8 years ago, i became an usher!!! :thumbsup2 go ahead, roll your eyes but hear me out. while you are sitting in a seat in the aud. for 4 hours, sitting behind some lady who took a bath in perfume, watching hours of ballet, iam walking around, eating hotdogs in the back and talking to the other usher dads. (we have a union now!):lmao: if you ever watch eveybody loves raymond? same with frank barone being an usher at church, hes there every sunday,(im there every show) wife cant get on his back for not going and hes there serving the lord, hes just doing it from the box suite!:lmao: im there every show, being a great dad at the dance recital, wife cant get on my back and im doing it from the box seat stuffin by face full of hotdogs and chips!:lmao: and the enertainment!!!! every other year the cops show up!! it seems some adults can get along with exwifes, husbands, new wifes husband in the same place. not even in an aud. that holds 1500 people for 4 hours. sad but true. we had two women rolling around, pulling each others hair out in the lobby a few years ago. exwife and new wife. luckly, most of the kids and parents were either in the aud. or behind stage so they didnt see there parents act like 3 year olds. but let me tell you, it took 2 boro cops, one state trooper and an off duty county sher. to drag them apart.:sad2: but for the most part, its uneventfull.

Funny thing...you were the first person who came to mind when I typed that ha ha...:rotfl2: Honest!:lmao:

Pretty cool presentation, Carl. Could even see Tinkerbell fly on our computer. Great work, and thanks.

I gotta say, thanks for the live stream Carl. I'll never be able to afford my family staying at the Poly, so it was nice to pretend and live vicariously. :thumbsup2

I'll second that... Big thanks Carl!:thumbsup2
Thanks guys!

Representing today at HS with my red disdads shirt. Hope it's not a case of mistaken gender preference!!:rotfl:

Tonight wishes next to a speaker sans talking people hoping to get a good capture for home viewing later..Internet in room is $10 a day and it has no bandwidth! So not worth the trouble to run all day! Sorry

I tend to shave my head , since it is only missing up top, and I do wear a hat like good boy, but it is really hot some times. I just make sure I apply the sunscreen to the top of my head to play it safe, then I can get away without the hat for some periods. I burn quite easily, and would hate to have that discomfort on vacation.

Mmmm...Dole Whips....awesome pic, although the guy holding the baby in the background is rather distracting....it just looks funny:lmao:

What the heck is that guy doing with that baby is right?

Its like, "hey its a pic of tasty frozen treats.... and some guy getting ready to go all Cirque du Soliel juggling his baby."

I've been away for a few days and I'm only 25 pages behind... not bad. I might go back and try to catch up on some of it after I get caught up on TRs. If there is anything of any extreme importance that I've missed please let me know.

I've been busy working on the farm. We finally got some good weather last week and since last Monday evening we've been working hard. I came to work Tuesday and Wednesday and left early to work on the farm until late at night. I took Thursday and Friday off to spend all day working on the farm.

My uncle had an eye surgery for a detached retina a couple of months ago and there were some problems, so they had to redo it. Therefore, he isn't allowed to drive tractors right now, because they don't want him getting jostled around in the tractor until it heals. His oldest son had been working and helping out, but he had just finished HS and his graduation was Friday night. We were all planning to go to his graduation Fri and party on Saturday so I decided to push hard and go late Thursday night and get up early Friday morning to start planting soybeans to make up for the time we were going to be down for his graduation and party. I left the house Friday morning after about 3 hours of sleep and I think I literally worked myself sick. Dad came and took the tractor for me at lunch time so I could go home and eat. I felt tired (obviously) but got home and started shivering (it was 95 degrees.) I made sure to drink plenty and ate a little more than I normally would eat for lunch, thinking I maybe just hadn't been eating enough the last couple of days and went back to the field feeling better. I worked until about 2 hours before my cousin's graduation and by that time I felt absolutely fatigued and my body ached from head to toe. I got home and just wanted to lay down for a little bit, but I was dirty so I just walked in the door and laid down on the floor. DW came home a little while after I did and she found me laying on the kitchen floor, asleep and shivering. I tried to stand up and got dizzy and almost fell down. She made me take my temp and I had a fever, but I insisted on going to the graduation. We got there I could barely keep myself sitting up through it because I felt so nauseous and dizzy. DW wanted to take me to the ER after the graduation, but I just wanted to go home and rest. We went home and I laid down on the couch and slept for about 13 hours. I woke up Saturday morning after a long, deep sleep and I felt fine, but I hate it when these people that want to tell me I need to slow down because I'm not 20 anymore are right. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Anyway, sorry for the long story, but we're making some good progress. Corn is all in the ground and we should be done planting soybeans sometime tomorrow. Still have to spray and apply nitrogen to the corn, so there's plenty of work left to do, but I always feel a little better once the seed is in the ground and we can see some green rows out in the fields. Fingers crossed, but I don't think we fell far enough behind the target planting dates for harvest to be pushed back far enough to effect our vacation dates!

Holy cow. Glad you're feeling better now. I also got extremely sick this weekend, but for a much worse reason.

wow! glad your felling better andy. i get the same thing, your not 20 anymore. i grew up with a kid that lived on a huge farm. they had 24 full time employees. i never seen in the spring and late summer, early fall. they grew alphalpha and corn. i would go visit him and hang out while he ran the hammer mill. id leave two hours later and my car would be solid green!!:lmao:

Yikes - glad you're feeling better. I was up at my brother's farm this weekend and he was telling me there were several times in the last few weeks that he was out planting until 1 or 2 in the morning - plus they have to milk the cows 3 times a day.
