OK David - between your question / my response on Saturday and today (Monday) - the new meet & greet is open. It is located near the exit to the MuppetVision 3D film, where Cars used to be. (It was still behind a wall on Saturday), but there they were today when I came out of the Muppets. I took a couple of pics for you, but those will have to wait until tomorrow to get posted.

Is Lotso out of the Animation Building and Winnie The Pooh in yet?

I'm sorry - I never made it over to that part of the park. I don't know. BUT ACTUALLY, wait a minute, in looking back over the Times Guide, yes, he must be. It says you can meet Winnie the Pooh continuously from park open til 6pm (at least from this weekend... hours will vary of course)

Ok... here's my little brag for the week...

:darth: 14 :yoda:

is my total ride count for Star Tours II this weekend. It was great fun. I got to experience 5 of the 6 planetary environments. Only 3 of the 14 trips were identical, and only 2 of those 3 were on the same day... separated by hours. So that was pretty cool. I'm going to download the special passport thingy now to start keeping track of all of my adventures. I'm supposed to head out to CA in Oct or Nov, and possibly in July or Aug as well... so I'll get to do it more there. I can't wait. It was so cool.

We have a CP lunch ADR our last day at the World, though I'm not opposed to canceling. Right now I'm leaning toward Pecos Bill, the taco place near PoTC, or Columbia Harbor House, though LTT is always a family fave . . . .

I guess we'll play it by Ears.

Cheers,
Indy

EDIT: Do I get a "First multi-post because I finally figured out how easy it is to do such a thing" badge??

We were not fan of Pecos Bill

Glad you found us!
You've already covered the Granddaddy of the Snack Credit (the Dole Whip). If you're on the dining plan and have a bunch of snack credits left over, I recommend the Crisped Rice treats. (They're nothing like Rice Krispie Treats, honest. :rolleyes1) Anyway, they're about the size of your hand, about an inch thick, and covered in colored chocolate icing. The resort gift shop should have otherwise hit up Goofy's Candy Company in Downtown Disney. They travel very well (plane or car) and are soooo good.
2nd the Crisp Rice treats. Our pantry is stocked with them as part of our zombie survival kit.

Y'all have a nice Memeorial Day Weekend

Watch this... http://media.causes.com/1060527

Ahhh now that I've quoted I see what I was supposed to watch. I thought you were just pointing out that lots of people injure themselves on memorial day weekend and those injuries are usually preceded by the statement "watch this"

The last page i read was 128, so I apologize.
BUT, I don't care right now.

The VP of my department (my boss) called me into her office today. I've been there 6 yrs, but still, when you get called into the boss's office at 9 am on Friday, you get nervous.

"boB, we're promoting you. You team is changing, so, we need you to be the leader in title, as well as in practice"

Congrats boB.:thumbsup2

We are driving into our small town this morning to do some shopping and I see this:

I hoping they are here to take care of all the bad weather we're having! :cool1:

That's stellar. Did you follow him to see if he'd turn on the sirens?

Siting in the living room watching Paton while putting together a new grill. Was going to spring for the big green egg but since I am repairing/remodeling a bunch of house stuff including a new kitchen I decided to put it off for a while. Gave up on gas and bought a decent sized Webber. After years, finally going back to charcoal. It will be broken in tomorrow or Monday with a couple of slabs of ribs, home-made baked beans and roasted corn. Depends on when a few friends can come over. DD and her friend are vegetarians so have no idea what I am going to cook for them. Probably soy burgers and dogs. Yum.

Life is good. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I debated getting an egg, but wound up with a webber too. It's not an egg but still {meat over fire} = good. :thumbsup2

My son was struggling when he called us about this yesterday. He had just left Boss's office and was pretty well devastated. He had gained a tremendous amount of respect for Boss the past 6 months and this decision only amplified that feeling. Boss put the team above his own career despite being asked to stay on. David was going in today, on his day off, to help Boss pack his things and carry them to his car. Chapter two for him will begin Tuesday with the arrival of the new, interim Boss (Capt. McWherter), who served as the Blues' CO the past 2 years. Hopefully, they will begin doing air shows again in a few weeks. Now, it looks like we may be planning a trip to Rochester in mid-July but that may all change between now and then. Fly Navy! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
That shows a tremendous amount of integrity. Our actions after we've made a mistake are a good litmus test for our character.

I must admit I've never seen their show, or care, but for you... I looked and they are not on the character meets list on the Times Guide, nor are they in the Disney Parks Mobile info yet. Soon though I'm sure.

I will say though... Star Tours five, yes 5 times today baby. I worked the FP timing and got to do it that many. Standby waits up to 2 hours today. Very crowded, but not Easter or Christmas crowded. Gonna try for one more, the psrk closes @ midnight tonight. I'm pretty tired though so maybe not. We'll see.
So envious. Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you.

So today's heat got me thinkin'......

Are there any other DisDads out there who are inherent sweaters while at WDW during the summer? I'm looking for some advice on shirts to wear. Last summer i sweated through the shirt I was wearing in, no joke, the walk from our room to the car on the way to MK. I'm thinking of getting some biking/running moisture wicking, quick drying shirts and then some golf shirts of the same type. I'm actually pretty good on the golf shirts, but was looking for comments on the other shirts.

Cheers,
Indy

A bunch of people have mentioned technical tees. I use Nike Dri-fit and Champion technical tees. The both work well. Target usually sells the champion shirts for between $10 and $15 and they do go on sale periodically. For the campion shirts I find the meshy shirts work better. Also he Disney Character Premier store in St. Augustine has had Disney Champions dry fit tees for about the same price as Target, but they have a Disney logo.

I'm a mega sweater. I would go with any kind of dry fit shirt. Reebok, Nike, Champion, etc... all make those. I've gotten several of my shirts at Dicks, but I've also gotten a lot of my running wear (including several Dri-Fits) via Ebay. You can get Champion shirts at WalMart and or Target, and you might find them a little cheaper. You can also find them on the clearance racks quite often at Dicks, but they are very "loud" (read: fluorescent yellow, orange, etc...). I also keep a long sleeved white shirt on hand during the summer months just in case, for some stupid reason, that I get sunburned. Fortunately, I've come across several of these shirts over the past few years because of races that I've participated in. I prefer to go with the T shirt look rather than the golf shirt because I wear a large brim hat and I don't have to worry about the collar irritating my neck.

Big props to Fed; thanks for the hotel info. :worship: We'll be in on June 17th, at the Sleep Inn, IIRC.
Agree with your shirt recommendations.

14 - D'OH! I don't think I rode the original that many times.

2011 Blue and Gold Banquet. DS6 got his Tiger Cub badge and six activity beltloops. Great end to a fun year of Cub Scouts!

I am hoping to get few rides in when we are there in Nov. :cool1:

Wow!!! That is bragging rights for a year!! Is the star tours 3D? Total immersion? Like you feel like your there? Seats move type of ride?

I wouldn't say the individual seats move, but it is pretty immersive, yes.

That 14 was broken down like this... Saturday = 5x. / Monday = 9x. If only i'd gone to DHS on Sunday it could have been more. ;)

At SSR it said $9.95 per day.

Thank you, fine sir!! did you use the Internet? Is it like a T1 or is it like a 2400 baud dial up?:confused3

As far as the star tours, I cannot wait!! We are doing, against the crowd tour avoiding all EMH.. Crowd Forecasts are 5 for our week starting June 2nd.. No way that I will get 14 rides on star tour though!:worship:

I did use it (only because its free for DVC members - normally I would just tether my phone). I'm not super tech savvy, but I believe its T1.
