One last trill ride to end the trip! Now I'm just as excited to get back to Chicago as I am to leave it! :thumbsup2:woohoo:

Last time we landed there, they decelerated hard and then pulled into the terminal. As we were getting off, we overheard the flight attendant say to the pilot, "Landed kinda hard, didn't you?"

The pilot just looked at her and said, "I hate landing here." :scared1:

And Chris - there's no way around Fed. He knows Georgia State Patrol & Florida Highway Patrol if you're driving. He know TSA people if you're flying. I once threated to take a boat from Lake Michigan, out the St Lawrence Seaway and down the coast to Florida. Turns out he knows some Coast Guard guys too. :sad2:

FED, can I get an escort in May?? :lmao:

Exactly, why they should have tip line for the pilots once the plane has landed :thumbsup2

Just wondered....thought I'd "intercept" you along the way if you were driving:lmao::lmao:

So, are you going to be on one of Southwest's new "convertible jets"....so you can feel the wind in your hair??:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh, yes. Believe me, I've kept my finger on the mute button for the remote everytime that story comes on to keep my kids from freaking out. :lmao:

Wouldn't even try. Didn't we already establish in thread VI or VII that you shouldn't run from or argue with the cops?

I WANNA DO THE QUEST!!! Am I to old?

Every kid < 13 needs a parent or guardian! :thumbsup2

On another topic, last night at 9:30, my DD comes downstairs at 9:30 (lights out at 8pm) complaining that she can't sleep because she's too excited about Disney. Going to be a long 7 days...

What's the alternative, though? Lake Michigan or the the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal?

FED, can I get an escort in May?? :lmao:
I already asked. I told him the drive from Atlanta to the FL line would be much smoother in my minivan at 120 with GSP lights and sirens in front and back of me. He laughed for about 20 minutes about my van actually doing 120 then told me "no.":sad2:

I just finished vol. 1. I am waiting for the library to get the second and third checked in so I can get started on those. Do they keep the same group of kids in all of them?

Absolutely! Like many of us, I married someone clearly out of league!

Don't give any spoilers about it! I just recently started reading them, and even though they're written for kids... I'm absolutely hooked. Just started reading the second one.

I still say that the mini van can hit 120... I don't question that at all. I'd love to see you go 120 through GA in it though. The only thing is, I'm pretty sure that all of the GSP lights and sirens will be right on your back bumper.:lmao:

Fed was kind enough to pass on a list of places to be especially aware of speed traps. I compared the places he mentioned to a map of Georgia. It looks like there is an area about 93 feet long just north of Ashburn when I can go as fast as I want. :confused3

Read the entire series. and yes they keep the same kids and add a few along the way. Thats all Ill say, other then its a pretty cool series.

I'd be on board with that. (rim shot)

Oh, yes. Believe me, I've kept my finger on the mute button for the remote everytime that story comes on to keep my kids from freaking out. :lmao:

I keep trying to avoid that story, too. Logically, we should feel safer about flying Southwest after this happened. It doesn't quite feel that way though, does it?

::yes:: Agreed! :thumbsup2

I dunno. Maybe they can just slow down and everyone can hop out the side.
