Star Tours II and Phineas and Ferb. Makes me wish we had a trip scheduled for later this year.

Plus a refurb for Cars Meet & Greet (changing backround for Cars 2, hope the update Mcqueen & Mater:goodvibes) and the new Magician Mickey Meet and Greet.

Our next trip in August is filling up with new things to do, You never really can ever say that you have seen everything:cool1:

All hail the basketball prognosticating guru “that’s NOT nice.” You are one lucky stiff. Seriously now, congrats Tim. I would feel worse if there was a pile of money going to the winner.

What an ugly and unexciting game.

This raises a question for me. What does everyone feel the ideal trip length is? Our trips are usually in the 4-6 day range. We enjoy it and are always sad to leave. If you do a longer stay, do you or your kids feel like you are kind of done with Disney for a while when you leave?

It's really shaping up to be a good year for "new things", with the added bonus that we are getting on some rides DW and I hadn't done since our first trip, mainly because DD1 is finally big enough and wants to try them out. (Kahli for example). We couldn't do Star Tours, Tea Cups, iasw, all due to being down for re-hab last year, so that'll be nice. I'm going to even get back onto "Terror of Tower", mainly cause DD1 wants to try it again, but with me this time....

Not to mention, I REALLY want to experience this.... *spoilers be here*

Wow. I leave for a week and y'all close down DDC7 and blow through 70 pages of DDC8!
We had a great week at WDW, even with the rain. We did BTMRR, SpaceMtn x3, SplashMtn x4, TSM x3, ToT x2, RnRc x2, Pirates League, Character Breakfast x2, and O'Hana!
I will try to start a TR soon with pics. (I did sport my DisDads shirt at MK)

I do have a small suprise for the DDC that I will announce soon.

Now, I have to catch up on reading 70 pages of DDC8!:lmao:

7-8 days is our perfect trip. 5 is too short and 10 is too long. And no, they never feel it is too long, but the whining:fun ratio gets too high for DW and me!

Yes, I will grudgingly admit Congrats! But not enough to get a smilie!

OK, either you guys move way too fast for me, or I don't visit the site enough. :rotfl:

My newest New Year's Resolution is to visit the DisDads thread at least once per day. :surfweb:

Welcome back to the real world. Sounds like a great trip.

Chris I forgot to thank you for organizing the pool. Great job, I had a lot of fun. Would have had more fun if the Gators made the final 4. They did have a good run though.

We did 10 days last year and decided that 8 is about our limit.

Are these all days at the 4 big parks or are there non-park days or waterpark days built into a trip that long?

Just park days - but we can easily spend 4 days at Epcot. On our normal 8 day runs, that's usually what happens.

We do 8 days on our trip as well, 7 days in the parks one day of rest at the resort.. Really our trip is 10 days but we do not count trudging through the airport coming and going as our vacation.

Disney commando I noticed on our podcast you made it a point to mention your need or desire to ride the vehicles on main street and meet the mayor. Care to elaborate more on the reasons? I am truly intrigued.
Not that it's strange but I have never heard that mentioned in any touring plan.

I agree. Ron, I'd love to hear more about this.

Also, does anyone have any experience with park closing due to capacity? From reading the interwebs, seems fairly likely during my trip. I think that we'll be okay (our plans are to get there at rope drop every day and we don't do any park hopping to MK or AK in the afternoon)

I remember hearing that if you are staying on property, if they are closed due to capacity you will be able to get in. It is one of the perks of staying on property.:thumbsup2 not that I would want to be in the park at that crowd level!:scared1:

I would love to go for a 10-14 day trip. We could work in resort hopping and days at the pool. I don't think we will do anything this long until we do our land/sea trip in 2013.

That definitely sounds like it was a great trip. Can't wait to see the pics.

Congrats to Tim's Huskies. That was probably the ugliest National Championship game, I have ever seen.
