Getting killed in the tournament pool. Comeback is highly unlikely. Something along the line of Morehead St. and Richmond both winning. Oh wait, maybe there is hope.

Got back yesterday from a short jaunt to WDW. Nice relaing few days. I did see the new queue at the HM. While most of the new interactive features were not working, it was still pretty cool.

My bracket is looking like a mess too. Downside: waaaayyy too many first round missed picks. Upside: Amazingly, my Elite 8 remains intact. So I guess I still have an outside chance.

Sigh...nemesis...there was a DOT joke just waiting and teed up for you right there...

Just like my golf game. Teed up nicely, no wind, sun shining and... WHIFF!... Ah the sounds of summer. :rotfl2:

Those are just getting too easy though.

::yes::

Camera Update: I have moved from the Olympus and the Nikon, and I think I have settled on the Canon SX30. Simply because I remembered I have Airmiles, and can get it free. I don't know 'bout you, but FREE is a great price for me.

Love FREE.

Here is what United's Mileage plus has delivered over the past 8 years:

- 50"" Widescreen DLP HDTV with DCR Tuner
- Nikon 12.1 Megapixel Digital Camera Kit
- Toshiba Satellite® 15.4" Notebook
- Nikon® 10.2 Megapixel Digital SLR with Lens
- Vtech DECT 6.0 Expandable 3-Handset Phone

Why waste miles on airline tickets since I can never get 5 award tickets on any one flight.

I just checked my bracket and I can now confirm that I was hallucinating when I picked both Richmond and Morehead St. to win :confused3:lmao:

Go RICHMOND!!!! :cool1::banana::cool1:

looks like dvc is moving into the grand floridian next. cant wait to see this.:thumbsup2

That is awesome. We first bought into SSR because we really liked the resort style (and got a great re-sale deal). Once BLT was finished, we bought there because of the awesome location. Having another option at GF is great as well, but I'm sure the point total for a week will be high! But, I'm not sure DW will let me buy anymore points.

It would be nice if they could build a walkway from the Grand Floridian to the MK. .

What, walking 10 miles around in MK all day isn't enough? The GF-Poly-MK boat ride is terrific.

Very cool! What was working?
Was the organ crypt working?

Not much. The organ and the Captain were down. About the only thing that was working were the books on the bookshelf. Lots of suits in the queue smiling at each other. This is going to be really cool when it is fully functioning. As Guy Fieri says, winner winner chicken dinner.

Thanks Mark...everything came out just fine in the end ...figurativley and litteraly :rotfl2: I did have that space shuttle sensation last night.these words kept coming to mind.."Houston, we have a problem"

Been there done that. When I had it done there was the cutest nurse who prepped the barium. I was going to ask her if she liked her job but thought better of it. Barely made it the bathroom after it was all over. Reminds me of the scene in The Right Stuff where Alan Sheppard and another guy are escorted to the bathroom. Too funny.

Not doing better today with Tenn. and Memphis loosing. Elite 8 are still intact but already lost two sweet 16 choices.

Did you have to drink to 14 gallons of fluid before you did the scope. I remember that about 5 years ago. Thoughtabout putting the tv in the bathroom with the game sytem in there too!

Mark I had to use something called Moviprep. I had to drink a liter of that beverly. 8oz every 15 minutes for an hour. Then I had to repeat it again 4 hours later. I did not have to worry about being hungry because that stuff made me so freakin sick at my stomach I did not want anything. It is pretty potent stuff...It started to work minutes after the first dose of the first liter :rotfl2:
a client of mine had to do the "big test". the night before her had to drink the old 14 gallons of liquid, the "manual help" manuver. sat on the toilet all night. got in his car at 7:15 for his 8am apointment. got to the office, the young lady at the desk said, how can i help you? he said, yes, my name is mr. smith,im here for my test. the girls looking at the screen,looking at the screen, im sorry sir, your appointment is tomorrow!!!!! :lmao: they were completely booked and couldnt get him in!:lmao: he had to do it all over again in 2 weeks. :lmao:

I would have died if they had told me such a thing!! That would be enough to make someone jump off the bridge to go through that and then show up on te wrong day! We had people do that when I worked in diagnostic radiolgoy. They would show up for a barium enema on the wrong day...no matter what day they showed we would work them in just so they would not have to go through the prep again!
:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

We sent Steve a Dave Barry column about colonoscopies yesterday, which is where teh Space Shuttle joke comes from. If you haven't read it, it's highly entertaining. I'll have to try and find the link again.

At this point, why not just be early for next year? And given my screen name, I probably can't make fun of your wife. :confused3 :rotfl2:

yes if you could find that column to post for everyone to read I am sure they would get a kick out of it. It did make me laugh since I could totally understand where he was coming from :rotfl2:

Look who owns the page! ...and it isn't Chris

Daggon that Memphis...so much for Conference USA this year...they are all out in every tournament!!!

I have escourted many people to the bathrooms after a barium enema and then had to clean up the mess that they would leave after Bless their hearts! I finally developed a few "tricks" to keep the mess inside them until we got to the bathroom!

DW had to drink the fluid before some of tests a couple years ago. The morning of the test we received several inches of snow. The Dr. called us to see if we would reschedule. Uhhh No. I don't see how any doc could expect someone to go through that again just so she could take her kids sledding.

Yep, preps are not fun for patients, but sometimes necessary for us to see what we need to see during the study/scope/procedure.

The good news is...some of the newer preps are gentler and don't require you to drink as much.
If a pt has taken a prep... we do everything we can to accomodate them.

For colon surgery, some surgeons are not requiring bowel prep at all...just nothing to eat or drink after midnight the night before.

Anyway... hang in there!

I can't imagine how someone would have the nerve to call and ask such a thing after going through the prep...Oh Beverly No!

you are right...the prep is a necessary evil to get the best possible exam and treatment....I was originally having this due to the diverticulitis that put me in the hospital a little while back...but...they also found a polyp today that was removed..I would have never known about it until much later had I not had the diverticulitis..everything happens for a reason...:thumbsup2 Now I just hae to wait until the biopsy results come back.

I am surprised that a bowel prep is not always required. I feel sorry for the people that we bring to our department and have to put in a colonic stent so they can be prepped in order to have colon surgery. Talk about the dams opening up...when you put that thing in...stand back...it is going to hit the fan!

When she called she said she was concerned about, our being able to get there. I explained that, I drive a 4wd and I've lived in upstate NY so 2 inches of snow wasn't going to present an issue. She then went back and forth about her ability to get there. ( she drove a 4wd Yukon and was from Chicago) We were adamant that we weren't postponing,so she finally consented. It wasn't till we got to the appointment and I heard the doc talking with her kids on the phone that we realized what was going on.

I would have been so mad I couldnt see straight. I would also have found another doctor after that day and the test was completed.
