Closest I've gotten to your neck of the woods was McSorley's.

Many a fine man has been sidetracked by that light or dark nectar that is McSorleys.

One time, my friends and I were waiting for a table. We gave the waiter a $20 and he turns to these girls who were sitting at a table nursing their beers and says in a thick Irish Brogue, "get up ladies, we got some boys here who want to drink" and he kicked them out.

Tomorrow, you can't even get into McSorleys unless you start lining up at around 9:00am (not that I've ever done that in my youth).

Usually, we hit McSorleys the week after St. Patty's day to avoid the crowd. I must admit, it is getting harder and harder to survive a day at McSorleys in the past few years. Just getting old I guess.

Not next year, but hopefully 2013. I'm currently focusing on getting in to shape for a trek to the Philmont ranch with the Scouts in summer next year (in New Mexico)... but want to do a marathon after that.

Went to Philmont in 1991 with my troop. Actually my Dad and I and my cousin and his Dad were part of this trip.

What an experience!! :

We planned a 75 mile trek over 12 days...and due to trails being closed etc... it ended up being a 125 mile trek! Needless to say, after those 12 days I was a ripped 14 year old! I'll have those memories for the rest of my life.

Also we spring break next week and we are 3 days away from a trip the the Caribbean. (Turks & Caicos)

This is a trip we have been planning for 18 months or so with DW's family. There will be 10 of us in all (our 5, FIL & MIL, SIL & Niece & Nephew (10))

I know its not Disney, but I'm looking forward to it.

Well, I still hope everyone has a great time and safe travels (after all, how could I wish ill on your wife and daughters?), but that a little tiny storm cloud localized entirely over your head follows you around and rains on you all week. So there.

I had to deal with "issues" among the 4 women who work on my team - 2 Legal Secretaries, 1 Paralegal and 1 Paralegal/Intern. My boss would not deal with them at all so he left it for me. At separate times, over a 3 day period, all 4 of them were in my office crying hysterically over what someone said to her and hurt her feelings. I felt like Dr. Phil refereeing an episode of The View.

It was finally resolved yesterday with an uneasy truce and one of them not talking to the other 3 at all until they "grow up". Mind you, these women are ages 50, 44, 35 and 26. I am 41 and I aged about 10 years in the last week. My 60 year old boss simply said that he was getting too old for this s---.

So next time you are in NY, stop by 80 Pine Street, not to say hi, but to put me out of my misery.

sorry I have not been around lately guys but kids and baseball,scouts,band,etc come first.
Ron: I had put up a post on our FB page to poll the board and see what was everyone favorite.Bacon/Pork roll( Taylor ham).To me its pork roll all the way!!!! If we would have had our breakfast meet back in Dec some of the dads from out of the "pork roll area" would have been able to try out this lovely breakfast/lunch/dinner/anytime meat. As I always bring some with me where ever I go!!! Will have some with me again in July when I head south.Its kinds of like my credit card I never leave home without some!!!

So far in the " Tell me about your neck of the woods".I am seeing some good parts to try and visit.Tim I am looking at getting more info on camping in your neck of the woods.Barry I am still trying to swing that baseball weekend in Sept up your way. Ron,we will be making our shore trips although up north from you.I wish the school here would nail down some dates for the Band trip to Calif. next yr so I could start making plans.(have to talk to my wife on this one as she is supposed to be helping with that.
