So, we are home from our trip.

I will do a TR for this which I wasn't going to do but there is NO WAY I cannot do one. It should go much faster than my 'usual' reports since we had quite a few family days and only 3 park days.

Just had a little conversation with a coworker while milling around waiting for the microwave in the break room. Idle chit-chat about kids activites and what not. She mentioned they were going to Florida for Spring Break (Easter Week), and staying in Orlando. She said they haven't decided if they're doing Disney or Universal.
Holy Peanut Butter, Lady! You're only 7 weeks out from one of the busiest times of the year and you don't even know where you're going yet? Luckily, her kids are 13 and 15 and should be able to deal with the large crowds, no plans and the inevitable disappointment...

I got a similar response to my dad this past summer. We have been to Disney 20+ times together growing up. They never put any thought into it, they always just showed up. When I told him all the time and planning I put into making ANY Disney trip, he was dumbfounded. His wife, couldn't believe I would choose to go to WDW every chance I got (she is a newer edition, and was not with us growing up going to WDW)

The UConn Women's Basketball Team stopped by the ICU this am to visit the kids.

Best division in the best conference in football, SEC West.
Worst division in one of the worst basketball conferences.

I've done the Seas Tour with my middle son. It was an amazing experience that he talks about all the time. Definitely a defining moment for him in terms of confidence building and memories. You spend about 30-45 minutes in the tank, using regulators that are very easy to use. There are sea turtles, rays and fish that swim all around you. The sharks mostly stay on the bottom (and you can't get down below the surface with the gear they have). My DS was 8 years old (almost exactly) when we did it, and wasn't especially proficient at snorkling, but it was real easy to do and he caught right on (shocking the CM!) They also give us a private tour of the manatees and the dolphin training, too, but I understand that there's no specific interaction planned with the dolphins. I think that our tour guide had a thing for the dolphin trainer and wanted to stop by to see her.

I wish I had, although by that point in the night, I was likely way too drunk to hit anything!!!

There is also a kid from Tamaqua, next town over that won a State Title. He was in the tourney all four years of HS in four differnet weight classes, and hadn't won until this year.



Congrats Dave! Maybe we can figure out when to incrase our DisDads meet someday soon! My kids might be playing in a 3v3 soccer tournament in your area this summer.



My DD will be making her picks tonight. She is already asking how good Penn State really is. The tattoo on my calf tends to lead her to think they are the best at everything. Silly, silly DD...

I almost put that in my post but I didn't want to steal your one-liner, Dave! Is that as in leisure suit? Or Leaser Lake? A couple years back, I sold a fringed leather jacket that I bought at Judson-Bricker back before I went into the Navy (probably '69 or so). It was still in great shape. Too bad I'm not!



Hmmmmm, Men's Department, huh? Well, in the Navy we say the only good Marine is a sub-Marine!

Anyway, speaking of the Navy and Marine Corps, here is a link that features my son with the Blues at their first air show on Saturday in El Centro. He is the tall, thin Crew Chief working for the Boss on the #1 jet.

That's right! #8, Lt. Todd Royles, is the Events Coordinator and is from Willow Grove! #5, Lt. Ben Walborn, is from Reading! And now, Geek 1B is from Easton!

In other news: My DW arrived at our DD's in Allentown a little while ago to babysit our grandson while our new granddaughter joins our family! I hope this isn't a false alarm! That will be grandchild #4 (1 boy, 3 girls)!

My original comment was towards the women's tournament, but yes, I want to see the Boilers and the Big Ten do well in both tournaments.

I'd love to see Indiana State or Butler pull some upsets and make a run.

Most importantly, I really, really, really want Purdue get to the third (or fourth... whatever they're calling it this year) round and beat Notre Dame.
