I agree with you both, but what is it about these leagues wanting to stack the teams? I have coached girls soccer & basketball rec leagues many years, and am still so surprised when the adults act like children and put all the stars on one team & they will go undefeated. Yes, you're team sucked & you didn't win a game all year, but that is because a select few got together and rigged it that way. I've been on both sides - undefeated season & didn't win 1 game - so I know it'snot my coaching abilities. I guess that happens in real life as well, so we really need to teach our kids that it is not how hard you try, it's who you know, how pretty you are, and luck to be in the right place & the right time.
!

It really gets out of hand sometimes, doesn't it?

Just had to share this picture with you guys. Me... just out of Navy boot camp, 1991... at Magic Kingdom. If you look real close, you can make out a bucket or two from the old Skyway ride.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Nice Aviators there SA

Just wanted to give a quick update...My family is all fine and accounted for :cool1:

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Sushibites....God Bless you and your family brother. Watch your 6.

On a side note, I will be scarce this week as I am headed to Clewiston, FL (Lake Okeechobee) for a fishing trip. Leaving Wednesday, be back Sunday.

Not taking my boat as a buddy of mine wants to take his (he's a Type A retired Masterchief), and needed a partner, so I'm going along too...

I would post a trip report, but I wouldn't want tutter's head to explode:lmao::lmao:

Well, my big project for the day is done... we have a pool here at work, we sell lines for a drawing for teams in the tournament. We had enough for 2 pools so I had to do 2 drawings with customers drawing teams for us then I had to get them printed out so people can see who they got. Just finished blowing up the bracktes and writing names next to teams so I can post them prominently on the bulletin board on top of the "important" stuff.

All in a hard day's work... time for lunch!

Sadly, the employee has now died, according to the Orlando Sentinel. :(

When these sorts of accidents happen during a refurb, it's frequently a lockout/tagout problem. I'm sure OSHA will be investigating. The Sentinal says that Disney was cited for another accident involving someone working on Primeval Whirl in November, 2007, but I'm not finding that inspection data on the OSHA website. Depending on exactly what was cited then, Disney may be looking at a repeat or even willful citation this time.

Oh - and there's a new Monday Poll posted over at DISDads.com - this time, it's about favorite table service dining experiences in Epcot. Head on over and vote/comment!

Then I want to see an update on your TR when I get back from lunch! :thumbsup2

Nice poll! Can't really go wrong with any of those choices (unless you chose La Hacienda)

And Fed, thanks for continuing your great report!

Very sad. Seems like they've had an awful lot of these in the last few years.

So who put the banana cream pie on your head? That's an impressive balancing act, though.

I miss that old SKyway ride. Along with the 20,000 leagues ride, its one of the ones that I really miss from when I was a kid.

I agree on both. I'd trade ToonTown and Winnie the Pooh for Mr. Toad and 20,000 Leagues back. Of course, I guess I can't trade ToonTown anymore...

Glad to hear it! :thumbsup2
