I OBJECT!! Mostly because the kids will do better than me. I guess it would help if I watched college basketball before the tournament started.
Actually you will do better than us that pick out of a foolish sense of loyalty to a team that we know will not be successful.

Chris,
Can you repost the link to get into the basketball pool?

Yes, click on the link in my signature, it should take you there. They ID # & password are also there

I've got K9 Web Protection by Blue Coat installed on the kid's laptop. It's free and filters content as well as provides the ability to block access during restricted times. A nice touch is to have the barking dog sound if he hits something not approved or tries to enter the wrong admin password. Scares him and lets me know something's up if I'm not standing behind him. The app also has logging to track blocked page loads. Good thing is the kid hasn't hit anything yet, but it's a nice safety net and free.

I don't use it at home...but I have used opendns.com before. It allows you to block by category or specific domains as well as traffic monitoring.

Best of all it's free!

Thanks for the tips. I'll check both of these out.

Hey guys.

It's been a crazy busy weekend at my house. Haven't had time to be on the computer this weekend at all. Hope you all had a great weekend. I did!

We had a patrol of 8 Boy Scouts in the house Friday night with my younger son's patrol - while my older son was over at another Scout's house for his own patrol outing. Awesome fun!

Yesterday was my 17th anniversary, and my first Father-Daughter Dance. I know some of you saw the pic I posted on FB. I'll get it posted here soon as well. I wore my Goofy tie - the same tie that I wore escorting my lovely bride from our reception off to the first hotel to begin our honeymoon (we flew out of LAX the next morning to head to WDW. Stayed the first night in the Bonaventure Hotel in downtown L.A.). We had a great time... although my DD definitely does NOT like the "electric slide" OR the "hokey pokey". Whatever. She DID however love going out to eat afterwards to the Golden Arches. Someday her tastes won't be as cheap, so I've gotta enjoy it now. She was a vision of loveliness though...

Today was the day that DW and I actually celebrated our anniversary. Went to see THE KING'S SPEECH followed by an early dinner at Abuelo's. Yummmmmmmm. It was a great film. Of course I am a slight history buff, and enjoy period movies - but it was very cool.

Oh yeah, and I'm sick too. Have a nasty cold that's only getting worse. A full week this week certainly won't help with that either. Gotta go up in to Northern Indiana on business tomorrow - two customer meetings, so I won't be on here much then either.

Have a great week guys. I think I'm going to head off to bed to get some rest. Catch ya later.

The Blue Angels had their first airshow of the 2011 season yesterday in El Centro, CA. Here is the first pic that I have found from that event with our son in it (David's to the far left).

VERY cool! That's a proud moment for sure!

OK.....I think we have finally figured it out. It may honestly be easier to just take two vehicles. I would drive one, DW would drive the other one and ride with her mother. I just don't think I would be able to deal with a uhaul trailer and renting a van for 10 days is an insane cost that I'm not willing to pay.

Sushi,
First off thank you sir for protecting our rights and our freedom back home. When in October are you going? My DW and I will be there from the 13th-18th. Let us know what help you need and we are al here for you. Thank you again sir!!

We will be going the 8th-15th. We will be staying at POFQ.

Great photo! Congrats to your son! You have a lot to be proud of! He's so tall, good thing he's not on a sub :rotfl2:

VERY cool! That's a proud moment for sure!

Thanks, guys! He's 6' 3" or 4" so he's probably not cut out for subs. "Boss" is the same height as David so the cockpit setup works for both of them! :lmao:

Do we have a confirmed date and place (Philly Zoo) for the Mid-Atlantic DIS Dads' meet?

Don, confirmed ressie we will be in BG Apr 16th, Hope you can go:goodvibes

Still working out the plans, brother! Soccer schedule hasn't been posted yet, but I think we can work something out :thumbsup2

Took DS to see Mars Needs Moms (3D version) last night. It turned out to be a lot better than I expected. Funny thing: near the end of the movie they used 'Peanut Butter' for a substitute bad word. :thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2: Too funny!!

And belated:

Happy Birthday, Mark! :bday:

Happy Anniversary, Christopher! :dancer::dancer:

Went with DD to her friend's birthday party at a local Bounce House on Saturday. Some of you saw the picture on FB... this place was huge. Must have been at least a dozen HUGE blow-up bounce houses/slides. Took most of the day to get my hearing back! :lmao: DD had fun, so I guess it was worth it. Oh... and DD got a parting gift bag, too! :rotfl2: Thought you'd like that bit of info, Greg! :rolleyes1
