Well, I have have cool news to report.

If you remember, my wife asked about deciding between the new DSLR ofr my birthday or a trip somewhere to celebrate both our 40th birthdays (which I would of course choose WDW!) Well, it appears that I will be getting the camera AND the trip! Sweet Beverly!

And, besides the two lenses that come in that Nikon D90 kit, DW ordered me the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 prime lens also! (she talked with her niece who is a professional photographer, and she told her it is a must-have lens.)

Wow, I'm gonna have to do something really special for her, too. I offered to take her to Victoria & Albert's on our trip, but she seems to think that would just be another present for me. (OK, she's got me there.) So now I need to figure out something special for her to show my gratefulness!

I was just really excited and wanted you guys to know - because I was sure y'all would understand.

Wait a minute, you watch V??? I don't think I've ever seen anybody admit that. I just got done watching it on DVR... things are getting pretty interesting.

Paul! Yeah, he was good. Great choice of song, and a neat performance. My wife just loved him. And those teeth - so white. Funny.

Yeah, pretty much the first 4 need to go home. And a couple of the later ones. We really liked Scotty (the country dude), Paul (the Rod Stewart dude) and Casey, (the last dude).

Congrats on the camera and the trip!!! I got my wife a Pentax K-X for Christmas with hopes of a trip to WDW for a large scale photo shoot. My plan worked as we are now planning a trip in Sept. 2012. This will be the first trip for 11 of the 12 we are going with. I am the 1 that has been before and I was 5 at the time.

As for showing your gratefulness, I might suggest a day at the spa near the end of the trip when she has been a little worn down while you take the kids to the parks by yourself.

Yeah, I could have really made a strong run at it if we had started the race a couple of hours earlier.

I did just go back and read from when I left to page 270. I saw some discussion about a Central Indiana DIS Dads meet this summer... if the wife will let me out of the house for an evening, I think it would be lots of fun.

As fast as the last thread ended and this one began, it got me thinking... we could have a lot of fun if we had a chat room or something. It is probably pretty rare that we get this many people on at the same time though.

Hey, I never apologized. It really is a good show with a lot of action and an entertaining storyline. And yeah... the part you mentioned ain't bad either.
