Proud to admit I enjoy it too. Probably because of many happy memories of one of the places to cool off and let the kids crash when they were toddlers. I also love the TTA.

TTA is great. Tiki room works too. Figment is cool.

I know what you mean! We have to ride it or we didn't go to MK.. But that song, it sticks for three days.

Another fan. I like the song. It reminds me of all those happy times.

we got the nautilus sleep system about 8 years ago. its like a sleep by number bed. it has 2 big air bladders. dw side is like sleeping on marshmellows and my side is pretty firm. the only problem with that is when you go on vacation, you have to sleep on a spring mattress.:lmao: we love and it was well worth the money we spent for it.:thumbsup2

Us too! We went with Comfortaire instead of Sleep Number to avoid the price premium you pay for that mall storefront.

Anyone try a foam mattress? DW said it is time to get rid of the old mattress and get a new one. They seem pricey to me but I sleep in the recliner more than anything.:rotfl2:

We bought this Serta perfect sleeper. It was terrible so we bought a thick foam topper to go over it. They conform slowly to your body. It is firm but strangely soft. I love it. Don't be afraid. Go to one of them fancy mattress places and lay on all of them. :rotfl2: take my advice, the price that they put on the mattress is not necessarily what you have to pay. Shopping for a mattress is like shopping for a used car. Tell em the price is too much and watch them squirm.

Well, our spring break trip has been booked. The original plan was to spend a few days with my aunt and uncle in Houston. DW called me this morning, saying that maybe instead of flying back home from Houston on a direct flight, that maybe we could get one with a layover. Of 4 nights. In Orlando. :woohoo:

:thumbsup2 Cool I wonder where you could possibly go in Orlando:lmao:

IASW: OK, I have to defend this ride. Yes, the song is annoyingly catchy. Yes, it gets into your head and never escapes. Yes, when the ride stops and you get that feeling that you're going to take you last breath listening to that infernal song... where was I going with this... oh, yeah, I love this ride for the memory I have of taking my oldest 2 DDs when they were 29 and 16 months old and the two of them both pointing and giggling the whole way through the ride, and at the end they started jumping up and down saying "Again! Again! Again!". Love this ride.

Work has been crazy again lately. We have a few people leaving our group in a few weeks and we are in the midst of reassigning their clients. I'm picking up 3 new clients and I'm on the road tomorrow to meet one of them. Fortunately I have worked with them in a previous role, so it won't be too difficult of a change for me (or the client), but their 3 key contacts at my business are all leaving. Should be interesting. :scared1:

"Best Places I've Ever Been: Disney Memories"

It was part of a "Best Places..." series...I think it was on last Saturday @ 8pm...not sure when it is on again.

Was cool for a quick Disney Fix. :thumbsup2

Seems like a strange routing to me but I always have to fly south to get anywhere. :headache:

Well, PEANUT BUTTER!
My languishing trip report got moved to "Completed Trip Report." I went to try and finish it, only to discover that it had been moved and that I can't add to it. :(

Oohh...Oohhh...Dad, can we go to GATORLAND?:rotfl:

I remember going there when WDW was a 1 park town with tickets, I remember entering through the big gator mouth and making my dad spend a ton of cash (at least back then:lmao:) on chickens to throw to the gators off the bridge:goodvibes.

We also visited Cypress Gardens (soon to be Legoland) with the glass bottom boats, we had a guide that would say Yes it is after every sighting, That's a snapping turtle, Yes it is, Over there that is a crane, Yes it is:lmao:

If I can get a 2 week trip one year I'll have to take my son to Gatorland, we will be hitting Legoland after it opens (he loves his lego:goodvibes)

I hear you on the crazy work. I started my new position this week but haven't changed offices yet. That means that my old group still has my attention as well as trying to learn the new job. Went to see my new boss today and found out that he was not there and is scheduled to be on vacation for the rest of the week. :confused3

Last weekend, DD15 and I painted her room. I hate to paint. Took four coats to cover the walls with a paint that was supposed to be paint and primer in one. Took two days and another trip to HD for another gallon of paint. And when did paint go to $40 a gallon?!?!

Add to that, I must have gotten the essence of our mascot while working on this. We had moved the furniture to the center of the room and covered it to protect from splatters, but some of the areas were a bit tight to work in. We hadn't been painting more than ten minutes when I stepped off the ladder and right in to the paint bucket. :sad2:

After we were all done painting, moving furniture back, and hanging pictures, DW asked me to put a few items in the attic. It's what she does with everything that she doesn't want to get rid of but does not know what to do with. The attic is now full of stuff. As I was putting more stuff up there, I tripped. My foot went right between to joists and, long story shortened, I get to do some sheet rock repair and more painting next weekend. :headache:

CRUD.

I'm glad to see so many willing to step up and contribute. I'm hoping that, by spreading out content responsibility across more people, it'll help keep us from getting into the binge/lull cycle of adding content.

One of the things that I think makes the disdads.com site a little different from other Disney sites/blogs is that we start with a love of things Disney, but that's not all we're about. We're more about bringing that Disney spirit into all the things that we do with our families. Sure, there's lots of Disney-related content there. But we also talk about non-Disney movies and trips that we enjoy with our families, etc.

I'm excited that we've got so many guys interested in the podcast idea. I need to find time to look into a good podcast distribution plug-in for the blog, and see what we need to do to get listed in iTunes. It looks like I'll have some time to do some of these things from work today, as I have a bunch of documents to review that were sent to me as .pdfs, and this ancient printer prints these huge PDF files one . . . page . . . at . . . a . . . time.

I'll help out if you need it.

DW and I have a memory foam mattress. It sure makes a difference when you stay somewhere that doesn't have that type of mattress, that's for sure. Purchasing a mattress is like purchasing a washer/dryer; you hate to even think about spending money on it, but unfortunately you have to.

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to visit the Kennedy Space Center

So... ummm when is said trip?

PM OhMari and she will move it back to 'active' reports

We got a natural foam mattress a few years ago. My DW suffers from migraines and she thought our old mattress might have been "outgassing" or something. Well, it was expensive and didn't help with her migraines. It's also very heavy but it does come in 6 sections. I can't remember the name of the company but I can get it if you'd like it. The sections can be ordered in various degrees of firmness. Turned out ours was a little too firm for our comfort so we have a topper on it. Seems much nicer than the old spring type mattresses and it will probably last a lot longer.

Thinking of changing my login to DisDadDoc? Worth the hassle? Thoughts?

I have considered changing mine to something more Disney-like but just haven't taken the time to do it. I guess I would lose all of my posts. I'm not sure how that would work. Yours sounds good! :thumbsup2

My wife and I saw that was coming on and watched it. Like you said, great for a Disney fix! :thumbsup2

I didn't like it quite as much as the other specials where they show you just about everything in the parks. This was just the favorite spots of Samantha Brown and a few other people you've never heard of. The one lady picked IASW and then the Mad Tea Party. Suffice to say I won't be traveling with her... :rotfl:

Sounds good to me. But I don't know if it changes your post count, or anything like that.

I thnk you will find that you will have to make a new account...I don't think they allow you to change the exsisting account name...or I would have done that long ago.
