I'm pretty sure it would be 16°F since Global Warming does not exist and was made up to impose new taxes on us. The sale of “Carbon Credits” is the biggest scheme ever concocted by world governments. Any way it is no longer global warming, it is now "Climate Change". Oh wait that name didn't work either so it is now "Global Climate Disruption". I'm sure the next name for it will be "For the love of Gore! We are all about to fry like eggs on the hood of a car!":rotfl2::lmao:

For the love of Gore. :rotfl2:

Yeah...I'd like to tell him where to stick his carbon footprint.

CRUD

Had a conference up at Indianapolis Sunday - Tuesday, and didn't feel the need to spend the money for internet access. Why is it that Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Suites, Fairfield Inn (you know the ones that cost half as much and are still clean, decent hotels) have free internet, free parking, free breakfast, but when you pay top dollar you get nothing????:confused3

By the way guys... we had a company dinner to go to Monday night. I was going up to my room to get my coat before we left the hotel. One of the guys I was going with tells me I won't need my coat, because we can get there without going outside. We took a skywalk from the hotel to the convention center, then through an enclosed walkway in a parking garage and into circle center mall, cut through the mall and had to walk just a few feet outside to reach the restaurant.:thumbsup2 Good plan, glad I didn't go get my coat. We enjoy a lovely meal and head back to the hotel. We went through the mall and skywalks and get to the convention center part... and see that they lock the doors at 11:00 pm... my watch says 11:20:scared1:. Nothing like walking 2 blocks without a coat in single digit temps.:headache::rolleyes:

Dave...I've noticed something...you seem to spend allot of your WDW time at Epcot...do we have a favorite park?

I'll bet you could get unlimited rides with :figment:

let me just say I am very sad that the live streaming I have been planning is not working out:sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2: Seems every time I tried to do it something went wrong.Bad signal, site problems ect. This really puts a kink in my trip report.Guess I will have to go to plan B. Just have to figure out exactly what plan B is yet.:confused3

There was quite a line to see my pal Figment yesterday!

Been to Epcot & MK this morning, on the way to DHS & AK before DME pickup later this afternoon. It's been a great trip.

Perhaps I'm just being overly critical, perhaps not, even if I did personally enjoy it... but "Springtime for Hitler" from "The Producers" isn't Disney music, and really doesn't belong on the bus to the Studios. :confused3.

nate, epcot had there am emh yest. we went on test track, car pulled in, the guy said as long is nobody is standing at your gate, unhook and hook your seat belt and you can keep going. we went on 4 times and didnt get out of the car.:thumbsup2

That is AWESOME!!!

It IS a great song! Great pair of movies, and terrific show to, though I am partial to the original with Mostel & Wilder. But I loved seeing it on Broadway. I was quite enjoying it, and laughing to myself @ the mom with 2 kids trying to place which Disney film she'd heard it in...couldn't place the name either, but just KNEW it was a Disney song, but in her words, "must be an older one they don't show as often anymore." :rotfl:

On the way to the airport now. :( next up...DL for Christmas, and then back here in April.

Hit all 4 parks plus the WL today, & Yak & Yeti for lunch. Yummmmmmm. I took Barry along...via text. THAT was fun - for me, at least! ;)

So, which one is Keyser Söze?

I know I mentioned this a few weeks back when we were having the Christmas decoration discussion, but I have something to add...

My wife has always been against real Christmas trees. I'm a logical person so her argument that it is wasteful to spend money on a tree that will be thrown away has worked for me in the past. That said, we have 3 trees because she keeps finding another fake tree she likes better than the one we have and buys it.

Well, guess what we have sitting in a box in the living room this evening...:rolleyes1
Not only do we have ANOTHER new tree, but she wants to undecorate our tree that is up, put the new tree up and decorate it.:headache: If we had back all the money she's sunk in fake trees, I think we could buy a real tree every year for the rest of our lives.:rolleyes1:sad2:

Just to show everyone that there are still some pretty good people in the world:

When I came back in from loading buses and cars this afternoon at school, our secretary told me that there was someone waiting to see me. My first thought was "great, another PO'd parent." I was WAY wrong. I welcomed a lady into my office. In a nutshell, she told me that she wanted to do something to help some kids out for Christmas and said that the check she was handing me was a donation from her business to do just that. [aside]Now, I'm in very small town USA, and money doesn't flow very well here[aside]. The check that she handed me was folded up, and I thanked her for her generosity and assured her that we would put the money to good use. I was expecting $100, maybe $200 tops. As she was leaving, I unfolded the check and took a peek at the amount. Then I almost passed out in the floor. She had given us a check for $1000. I was speechless and I feel pretty confident that I really stumbled and choked through another thank you. Yeah, she's gonna get a tax writeoff and stuff like that, but this was most definitely something that she didn't have to do, especially with the economy like it is. So, we're thankful; that will allow us to pick up several more kids that would be without this Christmas.

So, there is your uplifting story for the day.

I learned about the Dad's Club reading dvczerfs on the 2,000+ mile drivers transportation thread so I figured I'd come over and have a look. Also we're leaving to go down in about 11 hours and although I love going I hate packing. I see that you guys assign membership numbers. I find that a little intimidating because once I have a number I'll feel obligated to post regularly and I'm kind of.....well I guess lazy is a good word, although give me a couch and a tv remote and my thumb will get quite a good workout. We started going in the late 80s when our kids were very young. I have to admit I was kind of dragged down there the first time. We went every other year until the mid 90s when we started going every year. Recently we've been going twice a year. Notice a trend here? Anyway, since you guys seem to have such a good time, I think I'll become a regular reader if only an occasional poster. I'll check in with you from WDW.

I am wondering if the DDC extractor unit is equipped to get a dad off a bus before he gets into trouble? or away from others kids before he goes off on them?
So far all week I have seen good manners by men of all ages ,giving up their seats for women, kids, elderly. Doesn't even need to be said that I have been doing it all week. Now here's where I had a problem.Tonight was on bus heading back to hotel from dinner and this woman n a scooter got on the bus.there were empty seats on the upper level of bus (two steps up) but the lower level was full.A young boy say 14 yrs old got up and offered his seat to the woman ( there was two seats). But the woman had some size to her.
This was great to see a polite young man.Now here comes my issue. The woman getting off the scooter was also trying( I believe) to be nice and told the boy to sit if he wasnt going to sit she would stand.NOW here comes the daughter ( say 25/30 yrs old)of the woman. She starts yelling, Mom you sit down he is a kid he can stand, then mumble something else.I looked at the mother and shook my head. Then looked at the daughter and said to my wife what a rude *****.The kid was being nice and here the daughter is going to to be rude? what the hell. This I said loud enough to be heard.I felt so bad for the kid.

The other issue I had was. I was on the race cars with my youngest son.The ride was over and we were sitting right before the bridge waiting to pull up. There was a woman with a young girl in the car next to me.Well we all know cars bang into the rear of others,BUT. This kid say 14/ 15 rams into the rear of the woman's car.then his friend rear ended him at full speed pushing him into the woman car again. Then a third friend rear ended them and hit her a third time. All these hits were at full speed. After the third hit I could not keep quiet and I yelled over at the boys .I yelled you guys think its funny but she has a little kid in the car!!! They looked at me like who are you my father.I wanted to wait at the end and grab them by their necks and drag them to their parents.

Other then that its been a wonderfull week
