No St Louis is not a CUSA member..I think the nearest one to you would be Memphis...not sure though...

Okay, i know what happened. They WERE CUSA, and then got drafted/left/reorganized into the Atlantic 10. The CUSA logo was on the Gym floor the last time I was at a game. I guess that game was a LONG time ago...

Regardless, GO PACKERS!!! (I like Mike.... Tomlinson? (Steelers Head Coach)), but if they win, i'm sure Terry Bradshaw will somehow take credit for "his steelers" winning, and that I can't stand.:sad2:

Right now.....the only time I have planned for the East Coast is the South East Coast in Hilton Head in June...who knows after that....It seems like you and I are always in the same places at the same time but never have managed to meet up in person LOL:cool1:

Hey Steve, do you drive right through or is there a stop somewhere along the way?

Hey Steve, do you drive right through or is there a stop somewhere along the way?

We have only gone to HHI once and last year we stayed over in Charlotte on the way down. However, I am not sure that i am going to be able to get the Friday before off or even get off before 6pm that day so I might just have to get up at 3am and drive it straight through uuuuuugh! Just have to wait and see how it all pans out between now and then.

Now,...Dads I know this question is going to cause some chest pain when I ask it...but....what are some good NON Disney vacation destinations? Wife has pretty much said she does not want to go in August and would like to do something else...I personally think that the devil has possessed her but I will have to explore other options to be able to keep make it look like I actually tried LOL...The kids are only 6 and 4 so DC is someplace Id rather wait until they know what they are looking at. We have grown tired of Myrtle Beach after 20 years or more of going. So give me some ideas!

What are you looking for? Climate, history, amusement park type stuff???

I don't know how far you are from there... might have already tried it yourself, but a few years ago we went on a trip to the Williamsburg area. Hit Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. Both amusement parks were very nice and a lot of fun (although KD had a few rides that seemed eerily similar to Kings Island... wonder why:confused3;)) It seems like a few Dads are from that area, so there could be some meet potential there as well.

We also like going to Gatlinburg for a few laid back days... hang out at a cabin in the woods, visit the Smoky Mountains National Park, play some real golf and mini golf, wreck some go-karts...:rolleyes1

Boy, that's a lot of flowers. Do you have an account at FTD or something? :confused3:rotfl2:

Sorry Mark, once again you are a bit confused...it's Tim who gives roses to the dads , not me. I just wow them with my charm and wit.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: yeah, right, that's it, my charm and wit. Mmm hmm, and if you believe that, I can get you in to some fabulous waterfront property in Florida!

I know some of the other guys will disagree vehemently, but I think it's a good thing to see something different from Disney once in a while. :duck:

Your kids are still young, so I think a trip to Washington D.C. might be fun. There's a lot to do there (and a lot of it is FREE!), that I think they'd be engaged. Or, there's Myrtle Beach. :rotfl2:

You might be surprised at my answer but we went to Hawaii in 09, that was cheaper than the trip we had planned to WDW (The WDW trip was a Moderate hotel for 7 days). The airfare is what sucks, but we watched the prices (they go up and down by the hour) and got an awesome deal. Admitting this is a huge relief and I hope no one thinks less of me or revokes my membership.

We are checking in on June 2 and checking out on June 12. Staying at CBR for the first time.

And thanks for the welcome back!

ahhh, you will be gone before i get there. we use to stay at cbr, its nice and it is quiet there.:thumbsup2

CRUD!
Hey guys. Anyone around here still remember me? I believe the last time I checked in I was getting ready to try a case in St. Louis. That case has been tried, briefs turned in, and we're still waiting for a decision from the judge.

Tomorrow, I drive up to Omaha for pre-trial meetings in another case. This time, I'm facing off with the largest agribusiness company in the country. Trial starts on Wednesday.

I've got three more lined up after this one. I'm hoping that the pace slows down eventually and I'm able to start putting together another Disney trip. I'd like to get another trip in before The Bug becomes a Disney adult, but it doesn't look like that's going to be possible. I'm thinking the next trip is likely to be about a year away at the earliest, and maybe two. Squeaker has made noise about wanting to go to Disneyland in California, so if we can find the budget for it, we'll probably do that (this trip is supposed to be "his" trip).

i was windering were you went!!! glad to see you back aaron!!!

STOPHER, glad to see you guys could meet up! ok, your killin me with the food pics, stick to the scenery please!:lmao:

Not sure if your family is the outdoorsy type, Go Herd, but we really enjoyed our trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge last summer. We did the national park there a lot (and it's FREE) and there's a ton to do in downtown Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, that unfortunately is NOT FREE.

There are some very nice cabins up in the mountains to give you that secluded feeling, even though you're only minutes from the city.

Didn't do Dollywood when we went, but friends have told us we should have. They say it's pretty nice.

Great Idea Carl!
