A thought occured to me on the way to the Corn Maze this afternoon...

What exactly would make a wooly-worm want to cross the road?

Did he hear a rumor that the trees and grass or better over there?

Did his little wooly-worm friends tripple-dog dare him?

Are all the girl wooly-worms on the other side?

hmmm :confused3

Reading this, a thought occurred to me. You are spending too much time in the corn maze.

Not to mention that Wolves will wipe the ice with those Admirals. :rotfl2:
Isn't that what a Zamboni is for? Do the Wolves not have one of those? I'm sure the local ice capades can lend you one, along with a few defensemen.
NOTE: That's the first time I've ever talked trash regarding minor league hockey. I though I did pretty well...
Barry and Brian......

I posted a pic and asked you guys a ?? on the FB site...counldn't figgure out how to do it here with out uploading a pic to the web first....

check it out!
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2For those of you that can't see, it's a pic of dadio in an autographed Milwaukee Admirals Jersey. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
How did a PA guy like yourself come by one of those?:confused3

Did they stitch it to look like a lighting bolt? :wizard:
No, just a straight line. The lightening bolt was considered "elective" and insurance would not pay for it. :sad2:

So, how consistent is she??? Did she like the Giants or the Cowboys or did she pick one of each???? :rotfl2::lmao:

Oh... and how did the explanation of the spread go?

There are a few other descriptions that could have been interesting too... Browns, Bills, Packers, 49ers....
This was the first week I had her do it. So far, she had 8 right. Unfortunately, I overruled her on the Chargers/Radiers game and we(I) got that one wrong. Next week, the picks will be purely hers.
I didn't bother with the spread. I just let her pick.
Browns - dogs. Bills - Buffalos. Packers - well, she knows this because it's Daddy's team.:thumbsup2 49er - Gold Miners.
Oh - and she picked both "Cowboys", and got them both wrong.

Heard about the Dad's Club on the podcast - would like to join.

cheers
Welcome to the club!

Good day folks. Been a while for me. Last time I remember posting was when we got back from WDW in June and I was trying to post a picture. Well, things have changed for me since that time. I went to work the Monday after I returned from WDW and got called to our central office. Found out at that time that my job was being changed; I was being moved from my position as middle school principal to an elementary school principal. Needless to say, that rocked my world. Totally had to change my thinking and mindset and get back into the elementary way of things. Which has meant basically working all the time with a few minutes for facebook and nothing else. I knew that I couldn't come on here and spend hours like I had in the past, which cause me a lot of consternation. So, I hope that my membership hasn't been revoked.

I can tell everyone that we are planning a surprise trip in January that my kids have no idea about, which is great. We've never done a total surprise before, so DW and I are really looking forward to the announcement, even though our kids are older than most. They've been dying to go since last June, and honestly so have we, so we decided to sneak in a trip around the weekend following MLK Monday. Our system has a workdays on the Friday and Monday after MLK, so we're flying down Thursday night, thanks to my mother gifting us some frequent flier points, and coming back on Monday. So, I'm feeling more comfortable in my job that I can take a few minutes to drop by occasionally and look forward to getting back to chatting it up with everyone.
Good to have you back!

Second.

whats up guys! I am coming up for air for a few seconds but don't tell anyone you saw me. It has been an extremely busy few months and I have hardly had time to breathe. The worst part is there is no end in site. I wanted to stop in quick and and say hi before anyone realizes that I had a few minutes to myself.

Today is my middle sons (Ethans) birthday! I can't beleive he is four already.

Alright guys I hope everyone is doing well and for all those that are heading to the World have a great time!

Oh and by the way...just in case anyone missed it, the Phillies swept the Reds!!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

What can I say??? It's been 15 years and good to be back, but the Reds could have at least given us something better than a sweep and one of the worst offensive performances in MLB playoff history. :scared1:

Despite the loss, I'm still glad I went to the game last night. I've never been to a playoff game before, and the atmosphere was just electric. I don't think anybody left early. 44,599 with SRO being sold... new record for Great America Ballpark. The Reds are a young team with a lot of talent. If they can add another strong bat to the lineup and get an ace (hopefully Chapman) to lead a pitching rotation that has about 6 #2's they should be a contender for years to come.

Congratulations to the Phillies... tough to beat a team in a 3 game series when all they have to do is march a guy who'd be a number one starter for just about any team in the majors out to the hill every night.

Just 6 long months until it is time to eat some LaRosa's and Skyline while I watch the Reds play.

Time to focus my attention to a college football team that has already lost its #1 WR and #1 & 2 QB's for the season!!!

There are certain side effects to corn dust inhalation..:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

I just cannot play two soccer matches in one day anymore....well, at least I can't play every minute of both games anyway...man, am I sore this morning...glad I don't have to work today:rotfl2:

Counting down my days to Disney, we'll be leaving next Sunday Morning...:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Have a Portillo's Beef for me yummmmm!

Hope you were looking to join the club :rolleyes1 You are member # 531! :thumbsup2

Great to see a "Man's Club" here at DisBoards! It's been over a year since our last trip and the finances are preventing one for a while!! We're gonna have to bank our points from our remaining DVC contract (HH). We had three and have sold two over the last two years. Youngest just went off to college (Northwestern - Evanston) and our oldest is still working on her degree. I wish I lived in Florida and could visit the 'World' whenever I wanted!

My wife and I, while our kids were growing, took our family to Disney (and Disneyland) every year (sometimes more than once/year). We wouldn't change a thing.

Looking forward to being a part of some good discussions here.

Later,

Welcome to the club! You are member # 532! :thumbsup2

As a life long Yankees fan, all I can say is ugh - they looked so good. Had to see anyone beating them in the NLCS and it would be a great series against NY. It would help if someone pushes them to more than 4 games in NLCS.

Sorry, guys. If it makes you feel better, this is exactly where the Phillies were in 2007. This Reds team reminds me a lot of them...and they went on to win the championship the next year. Their lineup is one to reckon with.

The hidden story is that the Phils didn't really hit in this series at all. Hopefully the bats will wake up in the next round.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Awesome.

The pitching was awesome. Like I said above, the hitting...wasn't. Still, it's great when your pitcher only needs 1 run!

anyone see the new green ghostly finger pointing the way off the doom buggie in the hm??? it comes up on the doom buggie in front of you before the ghost raises the bar for you.

OMG. I just caught myself listening to Hannah Montana music....and singing! The kids aren't even here (they're at school). I surprised myself.

First, welcome to the new Dad’s. Come on in and join the free-for-all. :cool1:

Can’t play two games!!! Dude, given my state of physical dilapidation, I couldn't even pull off the first ten minutes of one game. :lmao:

Cool. Looking forward to seeing that in December :thumbsup2

Well it was a good weekend in our house. We spent pretty much all of Saturday at a marching contest down in Rock Hill. The competition was a lot tougher then the last show, but our kids still did very well. In the preliminaries they took the prizes in their classification for 1st place Drum-Line, 2nd Place Music and 3rd place in the class. We also made it into the finals that evening and ended up taking 3rd Place over all for the day (and against a bunch of schools that are two and three times our size).

For the band geeks among us (and those that just want to see what it is that I’m always going on about), here’s a video of our prelim performance (the evening show was actually even better, but we didn’t get the whole thing recorded)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CrFNXVD-rA

This Saturday we’re headed for an even tougher competition against schools from both Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Kentucky. The buses leave our school at 6am and if we make it into the finals, we won’t be home before 3am the next day (and I wouldn’t miss it for the world).

[Page 201 is mine!!]

Now that I have finally snagged DW's laptop for a bit of time I can check in. Our trip last week was good. Going with family members (my mom and dad) did add a stress level that I refuse to endure again while on vacation. I don't know how many times I tried to explain the bus system to my dad, but I don't think he EVER understood that you can't go resort to resort using the buses. IF i go with family members again, they are on their own scheduling, making, planning anything for them. Currently we are at the inlaws for a week, then we begin the long drive back to Charlotte from West Palm. So if anyone has any questions about anything I'll do my best to answer it for you guys.

Oh, and the ghost finger pointing the exit on the HM ride is pretty cool. And if you're going during the MNSSHP it's definitely worth the $$$. The lady outside the HM on the bench is just a riot to listen too. No problems with any of the transportation while there. Oh, and I doubt that I go back and try to catch up on all the posts I missed while gone. Later Dads!!!
