Hey... did anyone notice that TP's crowd calendar is currently showing levels for November instead of October?? For those going in November/early December who don't have a subscription now is your chance to check out the levels for free :wizard:

Hey guys!

Just checking in, as our 10 night vacay is coming to a close on Thursday. Which means, I get one more night at F&W tonight and DW and DD's get the last night with Wishes in the MK. Of course, we'll be in Epcot Thursday morning and possibly a quick lunch in WS before we head back north to Cincinnati (where, hopefully the Bengals decide to learn how to play like they aren't a co-ed club sport :rotfl2:)

If anyone is heading down soon, the festival has been great...and so has the weather:thumbsup2

Hope everyone is well!

What were the two of you doing on the coach? Really, way too much info. .

If you MUST know... we were watching Holmes on Homes :rolleyes1

I'm not really familiar with that show. Did it have coach Ditka, coach Shula, coach Wooden in it? Sorry, it was one of those typos that I thought was funny. I read a paper one time that a female student wrote about wanting on a "pile of boys" as opposed to a "pile of toys". popcorn::

Linky?

Sorry... I believe having the link on the board is against the rules... but you can Google "Disney Crowd Calendar" and it should be the first hit. Also... I received a response back from their web folks, and this is what I received:

Thanks for the note and using our site! We've changed the calendar so that it displays 31 to 60 days out, instead of 0 to 31. Our premium subscribers had mentioned that it wasn't fair to them to give out some of our most useful information to non-subscribers for free.

Going forward, a subscription is required to view the next 30 days in advance.

hey don, sorry i havnt been on for an hour but ive been working in my sig.!!! huh, huh, check it out!! its like stophers now. thanks stopher!!:thumbsup2

Very cool Dave! :cool2: We have about as many trips identified and penciled in on the calendar, actually running out through 2017, so maybe more, but I only have 2010 and 11 identified here on the DIS.

Hey I want to know how to make a rotating banner!!! :wave2:

Not that I'll ever need one...but I would like to know how. :lmao:

we have ours planned out the same.:thumbsup2 now that dd will be out of high school, we dont have to work around school, dance etc...after the june trip, most of them will just be dw and i. dd is all ways more than welcome but with coll. and work and her limited vacation time, she will probley want to do her own thing.we live about 2 hours from the nj shore and she loves the beach. dw and i were just talking about this sunday. were going to do our dtd morning walks and spending time at the resorts and the parks. its gonna be strange but its just another step. i see this for about another 8-10 years till grandchildren. than we can take them down once a year and than just the two of us the other trip of the year. were looking forward to moving to the next stage.:thumbsup2

As far as the updates...well I've found a new hiding spot at work. :lmao:

Actually I have 5 projects winding down...and my new PC Support responsibilities are in a lull right now...but things change quick...so i figured i would get done what I could before a fire pops up.

Good to know! Thanks!

EDIT: Just looked up our trip! The highest it gets is a 5 on the day we leave. Other than that we're hovering between 1 and 2. It helps to plan! :D

Yep, they changed the policy right around the time that I was looking to get the info for my trip.

More sad news, guys. Just over a week after my mom passes way, her mom passed away. I'm now 32 and have no parents or grandparents left. Of course I have my own wonderful wife and children, but it's still a lonely feeling.
My grandma was in failing health for the past few years, and the dementia really starting hitting hard in the last year. In fact, we didn't even tell her about my mom's death, fearing it would just confuse her. So I'm sure she approached the gates of heaven, saw my mom already there, and asked "What the Peanut Butter are you doing here?"

(It's tough times like these that if you don't have some kind of sense of humor, you'll drive yourself totally insane with grief.)

I am so sorry to hear this Barry....Your family is still in our prayers!!!

I'm currently hanging in the Poly Concierge Lounge, into my second Longboard Island Lager, wife and kids asleep early, so I figured I'd check in with the DDC before heading off to bed myself.

First - I thought it was interesting that my previously-winless DisDads fantasy football team not only got off the schneid while I'm here, but had the highest score for the week, by a wide margin.

The trip itself is going great. I posted a bunch of pics to my Facebook account. For interested non-Facebook users or folks with whom I'm not yet friends on FB, I've also started posting the pics to my online Gallery at http://rittmasterfamily.com/gallery

The surprise went perfectly. I've got video, but we left the Flip at home, so I won't be able to post video until later.

We got more done on Friday afternoon at Wizarding World of Harry Potter than expected. We got in the hot, unshaded, long line for Ollivander's Wand Shop first thing. DW masterfully got The Bug into her Hogwarts robes just before it was our turn to go in, and following advice I'd read elsewhere here on the boards, I got her positioned right in front of the shopkeeper. Sure enough, she got to participate in the show, and her wand picked her. We also rode Flight of the Hippogriff (our first experience with Express Pass - very cool) and Forbidden Journey, did some shopping and got dinner at the 3 Broomsticks.

Saturday at Universal didn't go quite as well. We got up early for on-property early admission. But ONLY WWoHP is open for early admits. So it's still quite crowded. And we discovered that the doctor's measurement of The Bug's height wasn't quite accurate. she was VERY disappointed to learn that she was about an inch too short to ride Dragon Challenge. She ran into the same problem at Hulk at Universal, and chickened out on Spiderman when she heard Green Goblin's laugh echoing in the queue line. We did all ride a couple of attractions together. Squeaker loved E.T., but Bug HATED it (she didn't like being "chased"). Conversely, Bug enjoyed Jimmy Neutron, but Squeaker didn't like that his seat moved during his "show". Then we waited around for about a half hour so that Squeaker could meet Spiderman -- and when Spidey showed, Squeaker wouldn't go near him. So we left Universal about two hours earlier than planned and headed for Disney and the Poly. Basic highlights since we've been at Disney:

Sunday at Animal Kingdom - The Bug loved Expedition Everest (we rode twice), but disappointed that Kali River Rapids didn't get her wetter. She had great character interactions with Flik and Lilo & Stitch. squeaker wouldn't ride anything or go near any characters, but he soaked in his surroundings, enjoyed drums to bang on, and still had a good time.

Monday at Magic Kingdom - Dumbo finally got Squeaker on a ride. He also rode Pooh, but refused to go to Philharmagic (really a bumemer, since I wanted ro see it AND I'd gotten a bonus Fastpass with my Peter Pan Fastpass). The Bug rode just about everything, and liked each ride more than the last. Space Mountain was probably her overall favorite, but Haunted Mansion was a close second. We went back for a second ride in the dark during evening EMH. MSEP was great - I'm glad I shifted plans to see it. And Wishes was wonderful. Kids we wiped at the end of the night.

Tuesday Epcot World Showcase - slept in a bit and started late, by design. Ended up spending 6 hours at Epcot, mostly World Showcase, in the heat of the day. Poor choice. We all had a good time, but The Bug ended the day with a mild case of heat exhaustion. We only did a couple of Future World attractions - kids loved Spaceship Earth and Soarin'. Best part might have been getting the camera out just in time to capture DW sampling the Beverly.

We shuffled plans a bit again tonight. We're going back to MK tomorrow, instead of Hollywood Studios. We'll catch the Studios on Friday morning, then take a long break before going to the MK for MNSSHP - sort of a backdoor parkhopper. Now, if this HUGE blister on the bottom of my left foot would just heal . . .

Night all! Time for me to get to bed. I've got an MK rope drop to make tomorrow morning.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I understand your loneliness. I've been without parents for 8 years now. But the love of my wife and kids and, funny though it sounds, my in-laws has kept me going. I'm a blessed guy to have so many good people in my life, though none of them knew me in my youth. I'm sure you have some great people too. Hang on to them and remember to enjoy them and life. There's a great big beautiful tomorrow just around the bend.
