But I agree with you - this page ownage thing is getting a bit much...especially when Dave posts so many times just to try and get it (ok, in reality, I guess I shouldn't be talking now, since I've tried twice to own the closing of a thread...and have been SHUT OUT!!... but I digress). Enough already. And oh yeah, he doesn't scare me - I still recall how having his son affected him - big ol Mr. AmmoMan just turned to mush when that little guy showed up. And rightly so...

Yeah, but I only thought to check it out today after seeing your post. Over on the podcast board they have 2 links. One that was the 9/8 show, apparently, broadcast from Il Mulino at the Swan (or Dolphin, I can't recall which now), and then other link was the "email show" to which you are referring. Underneath it gave the various topics of both shows, but didn't identify which was which. Unfortunately I didn't choose wisely... and went with the Il Mulino show which was filled with way too much Food & Wine crap. It was the OTHER one (that I SHOULD have chosen first, but didn't, that had the DDC stuff in it).

Hi all, heard about this thread on the podcast. I understand the question about the hassle from others around us. I was a single dad with both boys in college and going to WDW solo. Talk about looks from a very few folks at WDW.

I am Dave. I live in Sterling, VA, west of DC in northern VA. Grew up in Salem Co, NJ, go EAGLES. First trip to WDW in Feb 1973 at 18 years old. DVC owner, proposed to DW at Crystal Palace. I have 2 sons ages 35 and 33. Have back to back DCL cruises in Nov. 2 nights at AKV before cruises. Have an Alaska cruise in May. The bigger Disney fan in house in more ways than one. I meet way too many of the items in post one. LOL I have tendency to post off and on.

I pay rack rates... well, I book my vacation through WDW and not a travel agent or allears. OOPS. But, that's what happens when the DW wants to go to the world the week between Christmas & New Years.

Well at that point you have no choice that time of year. I just meant that alot of people don't know to look for discounts and will take whatever they see come up on the screen.

And for the record. Straight, married, two kids. No goofy trailer hitch or tinker belle sticker on car. I just enjoy spending time with my family somewhere where I can escape the everyday hassles of the real world. That place for me is WDW.

I just checked, a little over 14 minutes left in the game and Marshall leads WVU 24-6. Looks like GOHEARD1028 is going to get to see Marshall win. Hopefully they wont have an epic meltdown and blow the lead.

Well, 0415 comes early so I'm off to bed. FED, I'll have to disagree about the desk gig. 12 years of rotating shifts, and working every other weekend, I'll gladly take a desk gig for a couple of years.

Being a fan (and a staff member of the University of Cincinnati, Big East rival to WVU)...GO MARSHALL (...and Bearcats!)!!!!

Epic meltdown in the end of 4th quarter and into overtime! Uuugh! Heartbreaker loss...but it was a good game.....oh well...maybe next time...I still despise those WVU people...nasty just plain nasty!!!

Chris....dont you just love it when people you dislike finally get to reap the rewards of their bad behavior and you get to see it LOL...I have a few co workers that I wish would get escorted out too LOL

I don't like the fact that they took our Dis Dads Club and turned it into a "straight/gay" talk show. But since they did
No it is not harder to be a straight guy and love Disney
I think they missed the boat with their perception of the club.To me this club has nothing to do with Straight/Gay so I cant figure out why they even went there.What they should have talked about is that there are hundreds of "fathers" hence the tag "Dad",that have a love for "Walts Dream". We would like to keep Walts dream of a family place alive.
There are many other things about our DDC that they could have touched base on.
Like how a diverse group of Dads can get together and discuss Disney without being ashamed of it.
Like how a bunch of dads can get together and give to those who are less fortunate( KTTW).
Like how in this day and age the are Dads out there that still try to install family values in their kids.

I could go on and on about things they could have touched base on othere then going where they did.I dont know how many of you agree with me but I am sure there is many!!!!
I think this podcast may require a response from the Dads that feel the same way I do.I you feel the sameway about the podcast let ban together and let them know!!!
