Seriously, he took Hardesty, Berrian, McCluster and Prater right before I was about to take each of them. That happens during drafts, but not in a row like it did during the snake-rounds when he picked before me.

And we play each other first game.

And we are both attorneys.

Unfortunately for him, The Mouse of Pain is coming and the Passamaquoddy Dragons are going to disappear just like Elliott. :cool1:

You started the war when you snagged Big Ben away from me. :darth:
And to quote my team slogan, "It's true, it's true, he'll break us all in two!"

I enjoyed the draft. I think the teams look pretty competitive, but I'm thoroughly disappointed that nobody drafted Leinart.

I tried to draft his hot tub and its denizens, but I couldn't figure out what position it was listed under. I thought it would be Tight Ends, but I couldn't even find it under Wide Receivers. :3dglasses

I was hoping to be added to the DIS Dad's club.

My name is Marty (38). I'm an accountant and live in Clinton, MA with my DW (37), DS (8) and DD (5). Our next trips are 12/18 - 12/29, split stay between OKW and Kidani and then in Aug 2011 we are taking our first Disney cruise. We are DVC members, as well as D23 members and AP holders. My grandparents lived in Ft Pierce when I was a kid, so we used to go up to WDW back when there was only MK. The first time I went back was for my honeymoon during the millennium new year. Since then, we seem to be averaging a trip every 18 months or so.

Hey dads, as usual I am coming back on after being gone for several months. I see that yet another thread has had to be started! Thats so awesome! It looks like I will get to spend a lot more time keeping up with things as I have made a life changing decision in this last week. I have started a home business. I am more scared than I can say, but even more excited. This means that I will be home with my family. I even started coaching my son's soccer team! We have had two practices so far and I have to say that the enjoyment has rivaled anyhting that i have ever experienced. Im sorry I rambled but I had to share this excitement with some one. Thanks for listening and I hope tht every one has a terrific weekend!!

Hope it is a profitable venture for you! :woohoo:

Man you swooped in before anyone had a chance to say you'd be by to assign a number. Shouldn't you be out tying down patio furniture?

Oops... I should have known better than to respond so quickly. Might give the wrong impression... of me... sitting at my desk... doing nothing but reading DISboard posts and listening to Classic Disney Volume 2 :lmao::lmao: It has "Gaston" on it! :rotfl2:

Wonder if you'll feel any effects of this guy all the way in Raleigh??

Right now they say other than some cloud cover and gusting wind we won't even get any rain. Of course they also said this morning there are still a couple of models that show it not making that right hand turn.

For all you East coast dads out there... check out this cool tracker web site:

http://www.stormpulse.com

I can't find it now but there used to be a site that had a map where you could bring up the paths from as many hurricanes from previous years you wanted on a map. It was pretty neat because you could see that all the ones that hit Raleigh followed almost the exact same path.

Most of the current forecast models have it turning right... even more east to us than previously thought... which is great! But still prepared for a direct hit (in my head anyway).

Here is an awesome web site that you can query for previous hurricanes:

Historical Hurricane Tracks

The one hurricane I remember that went right over our house was Floyd back in '99. If you look at it's track, you'll see the path right over Virginia Beach before it went up the coast. Was weird standing outside in clear blue sky as the eye went over.

The only real taste we have had so far was Gaston in 2004. It was just hanging on as a cat1 when it went over but until you're actually experience one you done get a feel for what "sustained winds" are.

For those of you in law enforcment and those of us who don't want to see this in our rearview mirror, the new Ford Police Interceptor

Until I can sit in the drivers seat with a cage in it, I'm holding off judgement. Although, all the new vehicles in 2011 all appear to be smaller than the Crown Vic. :scared1: And seeing how I am cramped in my crown vic, I'm not looking forward to smaller cars. At least my crown vic is a 2010 so I have at least 4-5 years before I am given a new car, hopefully!!

What a terrific day! Today, I have been married for 10 years (happily for 2).:lmao:, booked a Spring Break week trip at the Boardwalk, and now page ownage. Time to go buy a lottery ticket.

Greetings fellas! I'm a newbie to the boards, We plan on hitting Mickey's Not So Scary party on our last night.

Welcome. We did our 1st MNSSHP last year and loved it. We were there until the party closed at midnight. It is a lot of fun.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Hey, I'm getting close to 1,000 posts. Maybe I should stop multi-quoting and get the count up.

Yes, 1000 posts is quite the milestone. See top - page ownage.

Speaking of weather, I pulled a long-range forecast for Orlando off of the Farmer's Almanac website today. I'm now so pleased with the long-term look at the end of our trip. It confirms my decision to wait to purchase tickets for the 10/8 MNSSHP until we get there and have a more reliable forecast on which to base the decision.

September/October 2010:

SEPTEMBER 2010: temperature 80° (avg.); precipitation 10" (3" above avg.); Sep 1-2: Possible hurricane; Sep 3-5: Sunny, seasonable; Sep 6-10: Scattered t-storms, cool; Sep 11-16: Scattered t-storms, warm; Sep 17-23: Heavy t-storms, seasonable; Sep 24-27: Sunny, warm; Sep 28-30: T-storms, warm.

OCTOBER 2010: temperature 74° (1° below avg.); precipitation 9" (5" above avg.); Oct 1-5: Sunny, warm; Oct 6-10: Heavy t-storms, then sunny, seasonable; Oct 11-15: Scattered t-storms, seasonable; Oct 16-22: Sunny, cool; Oct 23-27: Heavy rain, then sunny, seasonable; Oct 28-31: Scattered showers, seasonable.

(My trip dates in bold).

Exactly! It's the sustained winds that blew my mind! Sounds like the house will blow over at any moment... and cringing when there is a gust. Crazy.

I said it in my brain does that count?
