They also introduced another meet and greet at EPCOT last week. Duffy the Disney bear. DD4 has had one of these for a couple of years and the story book about Duffy. He is Mickey's teddy bear. There is no movie, show, or anything other than the story book that i have seen but you would have thought that he was a main character. We stood in line for about 20 minutes to see him and the line never moved. Apparently they have made him to be much more in Japan.

I've been reading about the EPCOT rollout too. They also introduced Duffy to California Adventure, and even put him in a nice new meet n greet location, and the reception has been mostly blase at best I'm reading. A big bang at the beginning (from mostly Japanese expatriates, really), and cool to chilly the rest of the week. Something about less than 10 min wait for the bear, while Mickey who was down the boardwalk a ways was like 45. It'll sure be interesting to see how long he survives, at least in CA. In CA from what I've seen over the years, if something doesn't just take off within a few months, they pretty quickly shuffle things around or eventually just dump it. I've already read online talk about the merchandise just sitting there, that will end up in the discount outlets sooner rather than later.

Hey, we beat the Bucks last year. Pryor is probably still having nightmares about Ryan Kerrigan running loose in the backfield. There's been a few injuries this year though so I guess we'll see how Purdue can do without our best WR, best RB and a #3 QB that was playing safety/WR in practice before 1 & 2 left the picture. 2 games starting and he's already leading the team in rushing though... he's our poor man's Terrelle Pryor. 2-0 so far with Henry under center. I'd have been thrilled with 0-2 in competitive games.

Back in the office after being out-of-town for three days to prepare for and then have a trial. I put in a 15-hour day yesterday, so I've got some comp time coming - which is nice, because it means I'll get to go and watch The Bug's Halloween Program at school without having to use any leave (and there's not a whole lot of leave left, after that Disney trip).

Our PTO (paid time off) expires at the end of every year. With my wife's condition, I have to use it sparingly throughout the year in case she ends up hospitalized. That's why I usually try to use it all up in the last month or two. This year I'm taking 10 days off, but using the natural vacation days of Veterans Day and Thanksgiving to bad it a bit. Entire time in FL? 18 days.

Woohoo! Still have 4 to use in December though... Hmm...

well neds, im here to tell you............. it gets worse!!! my dd is 17 and is going to be 18 in feb. and i see no end in sight.there females,they cry for no reason!i dont even ask anymore.i told her if you need me,im here.and shes still cryin!!! i see your from the lehigh valley, we should have our own chapter of the dis dads!!! we have one from easton, whitehall,tannersville, and im from nazareth. carls only 45 min. or so away and theres a few in nj that are within an hour or so.

i dont know why i didnt think of this before. as most know, i can barely turn the computer on much less anything else. this up coming trip to okw, there are 3 laptops going and from what i can remember, theres are only two jacks in a two bedroom. is there a "splitter" type of thing like a phone jack that i can plug into one jack and be able to plug in two lap tops? (stop laughing, i have no idea.) ive been looking around but who plugs there computer into the wall anymore? okw doesnt have wifi and i couldnt hook up a router if you gave me 3 million dollars to do it. any ideas????

I think this was already answered by previous posters but a simple router aughta suffice? Not sure how DVC does the internet connection but I do know you get 24hrs at a clip so I'm not sure if a router would work?

thats an old guy who lives up off of rose inn ave. you should see his vet. that guy built an airplane in his basement. after he was done, he realized there was no way of getting it out. he took it back apart and put it in his driveway! i use to work with the guy who lives next to him.

Go to best buy or ebay and get a $20 wifi router. Hook it up at home so you know how to use it (or let your kids learn so they have a cool "job/Title" when they get there). Do the dry run so you KNOW it works, then take that. We have done it before but then again both the DD and myself are IT geeks.

We've done the same on our last few trips. Wireless four port Cisco router from Best Buy with one ethernet connection to the wall. Keep in mind that wireless is the way to go in regards to cramped space in the rooms unless you're packing some reeeeeally looooooong cables.

i want to thank everyone for there help in my computer problems. i went with enzosdad advice. i bought a netgear fs605 today at walmart. it was $24. i have 2 laptops and a desk top going all at the same time. at okw there conection is out by the dining room table. ill hook dw and i up there and run a wire over to dd bedroom if theres no port in her room. (there maybe a port in the second bedroom. (im good at hiding wires.) i didnt go wireless because of settings for secure connections etc... and just getting it to work. thanks again for everyones help!!

Well the party is over we just got back to the room for the last time and we are packing everything up. Our flight leaves for the Motor City early tomorrow morning. It has been a great trip and I even met up with another dis dad, and yes there are pictures coming.

Reality beckons, I must go to her.
