For all those DVC owners, where do you own? We own at SSR and I want to add on at BLT. DW wants to stay at BWV, BCV, and BLT before adding on. I read that DVC has 50 point add-on contracts right now, and I don't want to wait.

We own at AKV, SSR & VGC. I'd like to add VWL to the list as well, but we haven't found the right resale contract yet. I've inquired about going direct, but a) no incentives, and b) no inventory in our UY now...so we wait. But that's okay.

Going on a roadtrip, leaving at 5am and it's off VA to Busch Gardens for a couple of days. It looks like it will be nice out, and is sure to turn out to be a great trip, with a few awesome surprises

ok guys....I know I can not be the only diabetic here...the doc put me on Byetta shots...they are making me sicker than a dog! Had to run out mid procedure today to throw up...no wonder you lose weight on this drug you cant freaking eat and hold it down!!! Lost 12 pounds.. in a month...anyone know anyone else who has taken this and do they have any tricks to get past the sick stomach!!!

Man that’s not good at all. I’d surely like to lose a pound or thirty, but that ain’t the way to go about it. Can’t supply any advice just yet but I’ll ask around. In the mean time, I hope dealing with the treatment starts getting at least a shade better.

Well… I think it’s my turn to take the thread really off–topic (of just be annoying, which ever works better for ya’)

Today was the unofficial start of the 2010-11 school year in our house.

Our son got an early start on his sophomore year as the marching band began work on the new show this morning. They will be doing indoor work on this years music all this week, and start six-hour days of marching basics, and drills next week. The monster 12-hour boot camp days start the week after that. The real up side here is that it gets him up in the morning and away form the X-Box. Believe it or not, he was actually excited to be getting started up again. Last night he told us it felt just like Christmas Eve and that he wasn’t sure he could get to sleep for thinking about it! If only we could get him to want to read “The Grape of Wrath” with that kind of passion.

To give you a little bit of context here, this whole town is pretty much filled with serious “Band Geeks”. There are only two high schools in the area and between them we’ve won a total of only four or five ball games in the past several years, but the stadiums are usually packed and no one misses half time shows (concessions are actually heavier during third quarter, then at half-time). Both schools claimed state championships in different classes last year, but this year they have to compete directly with each other.
This may just be the start of our own little civil war.

It’s all good, y’all go ahead and pile on. We’ve been catching grief from all the big time sports schools ‘round these parts for years. Thick skin is a requirement. Take your best shot… I need more laughs.

One a Band Geek...Always a Band Geek! Loved Band Camp and competitions and parades. I played Trumpet and during one show the Flag Corps did a toss over the band and we went down the 50 yard line...well one and the flag girls missed her flag and it came down on my trumpte...busted my lip and nose both and I finished the competition covered in blood. It was quite the site

I knew there was another one of us loony-toons out there but couldn’t remember who it was. I believe Band-Geek has actually reached the status of certifiable mental disorder.

I’ve seen a pipe do some serious damage to a bell (or something even more fragile) on more then one occasion. Luckily I was never the target. I’ve actually suffered more injuries as an adult volunteer working with these kids then I ever saw during my days on the field (but I don’t think I’ll be boring y’all with the details).

As a former Athlete---I was also the QB in high school (Where we weren't that good and I spent a lot of time running for my life, and also handing the ball off to a future NFL guy), as well as a soccer player--I always liked the band...and my girlfriend was a band geek (No Band Camp Comments). I thought it was a blast to have them going in the stands...

Wow, band training camp sounds about as brutal as two-a-day football practices.
The school year started last Saturday for us. That's when I let DW and DD go to the store unsupervised for to-school shopping. DD starts kindergarten in the fall, so technically it's not "back-"to-school shopping. Anyway, I knew I made a mistake when they got home and it took 3 trips to bring all of the stuff into the house.

I was on Byetta for a little over a year, it takes some getting used to but eventually you learn to tolerate it. It's kind of a balancing act, the longer you wait after taking it the more effective it is (up to an hour) but at the same time the longer you wait to eat the sicker you feel. I always ate something small like some crackers, slice of bread with peanut butter, when I injected it, then waited about 45 minutes before eating.

Hope it works for ya, I always liked being able to tell people I was injecting the synthesized spit of a gila monster .
