I'm just fine with it, I could have went but declined for 3 main reasons

1- I don't fly
2- Did WDW in July once, never again
3- Not taking a vacation with my Inlaws and the rest of her family, I did that once too (it was that July trip:lmao:) I have nothing against any of them But they slow me down, totally on a different time agenda:lmao:

I can get some stuff done here, that I normally couldn't since during the summer we try to do stuff with my DS, seems like there is no time to work on any projects:confused3

Plus I'll be there in Dec for the Dis Dad trip, IMO much better time of the year to go:woohoo:

Well I know the feelings you have gone through. I did a road trip from Upstate New York to Fla/WDW. Drove a van with family members including my parents and my future wife. Let's say it didn't go well to be nice. Road trip from Heck. The moaning and groaning. To slow for me at times. Felt like I was baby sitting or running a tour service. Same goes for trips with the in laws. DW might read this so I have to be polite lol ;)

As for you not flying. I work for one of the main airlines. So I fly all the time. A perk of the business. :cool1:

As for you getting stuff done. I am glad you can. My honey to do list never ends lol Seems to always get larger.

Now, can you tell me about the Dis Dads Trip beginning of December right?

A group of us will be there in the range of Dec 4-11, we are trying to get some events in place to do:woohoo: (one of the projects I can now work on with no one here:cool1:)

You can click on the link Dis Dads in December-Let the Party Bus Roll on FreezinRafiki's Sig. It is up to date on who's going & what is in the works:cool1: Maybe you will be able to join us:confused3:goodvibes

Disney Commando said:
AJ so how was Despicable Me is it as funny as the preview:confused3 I was thinking of taking DW & DS to go see it when they got back

The Bug LOVED it. When it was over, she told me she'd been laughing so hard that it hurt. Majorly slapstick comedy, and some good uses of the 3D stuff.

Will do. DW said looks like a plan. She is making calls and will work on it. "Why not" is what she said. I like that attitude big time lol :cool1:

Even if its for a couple days to meet up with everyone. Will see how it goes and play it all by ear.... :thumbsup2

:scared1::scared1::scared1: Don't tell me that. I have a trip this October with the family plus my mom and dad. Let's just say that my dad doesn't do well on vacations when things don't go as planned. And my DW hates that. So I'm hoping that he's on his best behavior so I don't have to "listen" to DW go on an on about it. I just have read so many posts where somebody has gone with their parents or the in-laws and the trip had no magic or anything to it. Have to think positive, have to think positive but something just wont let the thought go. Oh well, whatever happens at least it'll happen at WDW, right!!!

Response to Question 1: :confused3 Stop talking about Disney? Why would someone want to do that?:rotfl2:

I've never done what you are asking about with the ticket, but I would think you can do it. The dining plan seems to be tied to the room, and since you're not checking in until the 15th, the dining plan (and thus, the free dining) shouldn't start until then. The problem I see is that you would need your Key to the World Card before you check in. I'd call Disney reservations before you go to verify, but you might be able to go get a KTTW card (either from CSR, POP, or Guest Services at Downtown Disney) that you can use as your park ticket media that is not tied to a room yet. Then when you check in on the 15th, maybe they can combine whatever days you have left on that card to your new KTTW Card. Again, I'm just guessing here - as you probably noticed by all of the italicized words. I have no idea if this will work. Call Disney before you leave. And if the CM says that something like this is possible, make sure you get their name and possibly an employee number or something. Just in case the next person you talk to says they can't do it, you can at least tell them exactly who you spoke with that said they could. Good Luck! pixiedust:

Oh, and have a great trip!

Thanks! Its looking very positive from what we are reading in some other threads regarding extending our Park Tickets and maintaining the Free QSDP!

So you are a thrill seeker like me, huh. I am a thrill seeker, daredevil. Not afraid of anything.....well maybe road trips with the in laws or my folks  The trip I mentioned was mostly .. well.. bad lol. I bent over backwards to make the trip amazing. But my mother just would not enjoy the trip. She was happy when she was doing what she wanted to do. I have a great story about the side trip to Cape Canaveral .... if anyone wants to hear about it ask. lol...my mother's true colors came out. Not saying that everyone out there will have bad trips with their family members but it happens to a lot of us. Anyone have any good stories to share?

Its hard to plan trips where every one is happy. You try to do things that will be interesting and fun for all. On this trip I just felt like I was being pulled in all directions and trying to please everyone but myself. Was not a good thing... lol Added to your misery will be the DW looking at you and moaning every time something happens that makes one of the family members moan or get upset. You will than have to make both that family member and your DW happy..... GOOD LUCK WITH THAT :woohoo:

Just remember....the trip WILL COME TO AN END.. lololo :woohoo: I wish you all the best... I really mean that...lol :rotfl2:

Mouse Fever is running rampant in our house. As it currently stands this will be the first year since 2003 that we didn’t get down there at all, and I starting to go through serious withdraw (“Dole….whip….must…..have…..Dole…..whip….”). I’m trying to talk my lovely southern bell into letting me spend the money necessary to go down for a few days during Thanksgiving :rolleyes1 (and I think I’ve just about got her convinced). I know it would be cheaper to go a couple weeks earlier or a couple weeks latter, but we are hopelessly tied down by the school calendar. :headache:

As for not driving everyone else crazy, that’s why we spend time on these boards. Everyone here is completely nuts already, :crazy2: so we talk about DIS here and spare the family and friends (unless they foolishly ask us a question about it)

I hope you can get down there for Thanksgiving I hear from 1 of my brother in laws who usually goes down at that time that it is a really cool thing to watch all the holiday decorations and special events start!

The Holidays at Walt Disney World are amazing. Disney always does things over the top. I have been to WDW over the holidays...Halloween, Christmas....amazing. To see the Osborne Family Lights at Hollywood Studios is wonderful. Between the zillions of lights and the music....anyone would get bit by the xmas spirit. :)

It's a must visit to WDW during the holidays... To see it snow on Main Street is wonderful.... The Magic Of Disney....

I'm gonna' go against the grain here because my parents went with us this past January and we had an AWESOME time!!!

It was so much fun, we're all going back in October!!!!

Not all hope is lost...:rotfl2:

Edited:

January was the SECOND time they had gone with us, I forgot about last September, and it was awesome then too!

By the way, I head out to Baghdad this afternoon (well, my afternoon anyway), so I'll be "off the net" for a week...

See you guys on the flip side:lmao:
