By the way, I head out to Baghdad this afternoon (well, my afternoon anyway), so I'll be "off the net" for a week...

See you guys on the flip side:lmao:

DITTO ON BEING SAFE. Look forward to chatting with you again soon.

I'm not sure to say thanks or to run!!!! :confused3: :sad2: Now I'm really feeling

:lmao: i did the inlaw trip to wdw in 89. that was the first and last vacation with them i ever took!:lmao: to hot, to much, to fast,to,to,to,they drove me up a wall and we didnt even get into s.carolina yet!!!:lmao: not to mention there "plunkers". which is fine, i dont have a problem with anyone whos a plunker. but im a neat freak, sorry, its just the way it is.a plunker and a neat freak cant live with each other.they open the door to there room and plunk there stuff down and thats were it sits!!:headache: oh, the women wore high heels to the magic kingdom!!! "why does my back hurt"!!! i could go on and on.:lmao:

I'm gonna' go against the grain here because my parents went with us this past January and we had an AWESOME time!!!

It was so much fun, we're all going back in October!!!!

Not all hope is lost...:rotfl2:

Edited:

January was the SECOND time they had gone with us, I forgot about last September, and it was awesome then too!

See it can go either way... but usually it goes the WRONG WAY lol :rotfl2: You are used to doing things your way and when you add into the mix another person or persons it changes everything. Kinda like the universe gets out of wack. I like to say when your in laws or parents enter the mix its like adding another KING and Queen into your kingdom lol They want to rule it their way. Not a good thing. :rotfl2:But its not always bad as you have read. Sometimes things work out. :woohoo:

My parents went with us on our last trip as well, and we had a great time. WE had 3 strollers, so we definitely needed the extra hands. They were very laid back, happy to let me do the planning and decide where we wanted to go. They even gave DW and me a date night. I think they were happy just to be with their grandkids and watch them enjoy the trip.

Can someone tell me why the 3D is back?? I thought that died years ago.

Agreed! 3D adds absoutely nothing--except $3.50 per ticket.

I didn't know it was that much added on.....nice rip off. Thank goodness my kids are not into the 3-d

So they can gouge use for extra loot.

And 3D is actually good now.

Our last experience was a 3D Hanna Montana concert on TV. Did nothing for me. I remember years ago watching JAWS 3 in 3d lol.... now that was funny....

The new 3D technology is a LOT better than the old stuff. Personally, I enjoy it! We caught TS1 & 2 in 3D and for me it added a new dimension to the movies (pun intended :lmao:) Not crazy about the extra surcharge they tack on. But could you imagine rising TSM without the 3D effect?? :confused3

Gee I already know more about Don's Niagra trip than I do his DISNEY trip...

Wonder why???

I here there are some homeless crickets looking for a thread to live in. :lmao::lmao:

For a moment there I thought you wrote "Viagra" ... that would have been an entirely different trip! :rotfl2:

Well... I better have an open house to give those pesky critters a place to rest their tired little legs. :rolleyes1

Gang, it's boB (i spell my first name backwards.)
3-D? I'll leave it. I don't think it helps to tell the story.

Spain - Netherlands. I had Holland... *tear...

Remember a few posts ago, i was talking about getting a new car? Well, my 2000 Ford Focus with 95,217 miles finally died. I bought it on January 4, 2000, and it was GREAT!:thumbsup2

I wanted to replace it with a 2010 Honda Civic LX, since i have 3 boys (7,5,3) and a DD due on 9/2/10. Nice, safe, practical.

The DW wanted to replace it with a Mustang.:confused3

I left the Ford dealership with a :woohoo:2011 Ford Mustang:banana: V-6 with 2 pedals. I don't know how to post pics, but if I did, I'd show it off.
I'm not a "showey" guy, though. I'd be more braggy if I'd gotten the Civic, but i'm still happy to have a 300 hp daily driver :dance3:

Very nice! I've been seeing those ads for the new 300HP v6 and was curious to know if they are worth it. Would love to see some pics!

HAHA! I was sitting here at my desk munching on Town House Cheddar FlipSides when I read this! :lmao::lmao: Keeping you in my prayers!

Well like I mentioned it all depends on the people you head to WDW with. :):) from my experiences.. well yikes :rotfl2:

I'm with you. I like vacations with the family because I am forced to do things that I would not have done, the majority of which I end up enjoying. With a young child I am already hampered by naps, diaper changes, and melt downs so having the grandparents around to babysit for a few hours while Margie and I get some alone time is another bonus.
:thumbsup2

Thank you for starting a new thread. I don't get to post as much as I would like. I don't think I saw as one of the requirements but what if you still try to find hidden Mickey's outside of the "World"? I look forward to the new thread!!

OK - we're live. It's just bare bones so far. I made the first post, and have begun posting some of the info from our thread intros. If you're interested in participating regularly (or in making my job easier when you want to post comments) go ahead and register with the website (preferably using your DISboards user name). Registration is a little non-intuitive. Go to http://www.disdads.com and click the Login link at the bottom right of the page. Then, instead of trying to log in, click the link to Register. Once you're registered, you'll be able to login.

Initially, everyone who registered will listed as a subscriber. Anyone who wants to be able to write blog posts, just let me know and I'll elevate credentials to Author.

Awesome!! How cool it is to have our own site. Thanks for putting it together.

Was out of town on business a few days, so just catching back up.

Can't wait for the TR to come out! Have a great time!

Yesterday, the Blue Angels officially announced their new officer selections for the 2011 season. Enlisted selectees should be posted soon. Stay tuned! ;)
Good Luck!

The little, round, puffy ones that come in a 20lb drum!:lmao:
20 lb tub? I would think that would be the size they have over on the DIS mom's club!

lol.... here in Upstate New York we can buy them in 55 gallon drums at the local corner store... :rotfl2::rotfl2:
Now we're talking, or a shipping container maybe!!! :rotfl2:

May God protect you, your buddies and the rest of the troops while you are in harms way! :littleangel:

You're welcome. Sorry I haven't been as aggressive about keeping it updated lately. Work and family life have been more demanding lately. I'm behind on my personal blog right now too.

Guys, I am tagging along with a lot of TRs and PTRs on the DIS and one post in particular caught my eye and my heart. I wish all of you would read post #921 located in this thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2482610&page=62 and see what you think. I know some of you have been willing to help in the past and I just thought this might be a really worthy cause for us to help with if possible.

Our Navy son received his official orders today: he is now a U.S. Navy Blue Angels Selectee!!!! :cool1::banana::woohoo::yay:

He will be finishing up his duty at NAF Washington, DC, on September 30th and reporting to Pensacola soon after! This will be a 3-year tour and he will begin training as a Crew Chief for one of the 7 show jets shortly after his arrival and indoctrination. He will be traveling to approximately 1/2 of the Blue Jets' 36 air shows per year. CONGRATULATIONS, SON! Do I sound like one proud father?!?!?

Cool!! Congrats!:thumbsup2

That's like one of the ultimate "man" jobs:

"What do you do for a living? I am an attorney, you?"
"I fly in the Blue Angels." DING DING DING, we have a winner!!

What are some other cool "Man" jobs? My kids are always impressed with the Zamboni driver for some reason. They ask me why I can't drive a Zamboni for a living.:confused3

Congrats again!
