At my company we only have monthly meetings and they have the same decorum as a conversation at the bar after drinking all night. I am the proud owner of one of the classiest gag gifts in the history of the world. Yes I own a remote control fart machine. Our last meeting was on a Monday morning so on Friday I taped the RC Fart Machine to the underside of the conference table at the end where the company president sits. On Monday I got there a little early so I could get a seat at the other end of the table. As usual there were about fifteen of us and about 5 no shows. I waited for about fifteen minutes just to make sure this was not going to be a serious meeting and of course it wasn't, so when it got quite i hit the button in my pocket. Everybody in the room heard it plain as day but nobody reacted. I waited a little while and hit it again and still no reaction. I hit that button about 50 times that meeting and nobody would acknowledge it. I then realized that a recent hire who is a senior citizen was sitting on one side of the table and a woman from the office was on the other and the RC fart machine was right between them. Nobody wanted point fingers at either one of them. Finally at the very end of the meeting someone said what is that noise? Someone else chimed in yeah I have heard it the entire meeting. So I finally came clean and everyone got a good laugh. I was very surprised by the guys restraint.

And just when I'm feeling better - after a night of watching Disney movies with The Bug (Princess and the Frog & Meet the Robinsons), I wake up early with Squeaker who's running a fever of 102.

Thanks for the well-wishes guys. I gave him a dose of Children's Tylenol at about 6:30 a.m., and his fever was back down to normal when I checked it at 8:00 a.m. We'll see how the rest of the day goes.

Not to alarm you...

Did you check your tylenol to see if it was on the recall list? I know we had a bottle of tylenol and motrin that we gave to our DD and later fond out it was recalled. Here is the website.

Hope your son is feeling better.

Yep - checked and threw out a bottle of children's motrin. But both our kids will take pills now, so we were phasing out the liquid meds anyway. We had children's tylenol "melts" - at his weight, a 1/2 dose (one melt, instead of two) was the perfect dose.

I hear Sept. 18-25 is a great week to travel. :rolleyes1

We used to go in September, the week after Labor Day. We really enjoyed that time because the Parks were empty because of school. We never waited over 15 minutes for any ride w/o fastpasses, including Peter Pan, Soarin, etc. TSM wasn't out then. We will have to wait until children are out of school before we can return.

:lmao::lmao: i have the remote controlled fart bear!!!

Need to bring that to the meetings and/or share it with others. There's nothing like a good fart sound in the middle of a boring staff meeting to wake things up.

oh and its a good one, a little grunt and about a 3 second blast. it sounds real!:lmao:

Ouch. Just saw Mark's status update on Facebook. Looks like he had to get stitches in his thumb. That Stitch. He always seems to be up to no good.

It's been awhile. Maybe a thread or two ago. I have been on but not doing much posting. As a DIS dad I have been busy creating new members. We have a third little man on the way. Come August we will have a forth man in the house. How my wife does it being the only female amazes me.

We are in a transition year again. We have to wait for awhile for the new baby to grow up to come to disney again. We figure 6 months old and he is ready to go. As we speak the price of fuel continues to climb making our RV too expensive to drive. That being said I am wondering if any of you could give me a review of the family suites at all star?

Well put us down for Feb 2011. Update to add my name, it's mark, and look for me to post more often now. Thanks everyone for listening.

Dads...Tell all your DW's Happy Mother's day from trennr...Cornfuzz...Nate.:thumbsup2

We couldn't do it without them. :lovestruc

Had a nice evening with DW, sister, my mom, and our kids last night. We decided to go out to eat on Saturday instead of fighting everyone and their mother (sorry, couldn't resist) for a table today. This evening, we'll get together with DW's mom and sister and hopefully avoid more folks by taking an early supper, but you never know with things like that on Mother's Day.

So, it turns out the DS did break his thumb at baseball practice this past Wednesday. The radiologist called it a "buckle fracture." They decided not to cast him, but they did put him in a very firm wrist/thumb splint that he will need to wear for about 2-3 weeks. He's not supposed to play baseball at all (soccer is okay to do). However, when they divided teams here, they ended up with 2 teams that have 10 kids each. Well, one kid was sick yesterday and another didn't show up. They called us and said can you come out here and just stand so we can play?? Well, we went. I got my glove and tried it on him and it fit well over the splint, so the coach said go on out to center field (usually plays shortstop or pitches; can't do either now). We haven't had a ball hit to center field all year, not because the kids can't play, they just aren't strong enough to power one out there. Well, first batter, fly ball to center. 2nd batter, fly ball to center. He was under instructions not to catch anything, so on both balls he ran right up to them, let them hit the ground, then picked it up and threw to 2nd. When he came to bat, he just stood for 6 pitches and drew a full count walk. Of course, the team we played was the top team in the league and we got drubbed (as we have all year), but hey, both teams got to play, my son left with a smile on his face, and he got to field about 8 balls because the team we played was just mashing it all day long. When we were driving home, he said, "daddy, you know that I would have caught those first two balls, don't you?" I said "yeah, but I'm more proud of you for doing what we asked you to do" (let them drop then pick them up). So, we'll go play when we can and play center field and hopefully work back to the top of the lineup if I can ever teach him how to bunt.

Maybe pick him up a glove for the "wrong" hand. He could "Jim Abbot" it - pretend he has one hand. Catch the ball with his good hand, flip the ball up and the glove off, grab the ball and throw it in.

We've done that for years. But this year we couldn't, since our eldest has been away at a campout this weekend. This was the induction campout into the Scout's National Honor Society - the O.A. or Order of the Arrow. He'll be home around 1 today, but DW still doesn't want to go "out" - but has requested pick-up from the new Panda Express that just opened up here in our town last month. So we'll have her choice at home tonight. Kind of a mixed up year, but she's cool with it. The younger two have made her feel quite special today.

Ouch! Bummer. Sorry about that.
