This is just a quick drive-by... we are heading to the airport now!!
Talk to you guys later!

A little late to version IV of the DIS Dad's club, so way behind on this one.
First of all, hope you have a great trip Don! I know you were on the way to the airport and probably won't see this anytime soon, but we are thinking about you (and wishing we were there)!
Secondly, just caught on to the fundraiser. Proud of this group for coming up with such a great idea for sharing with our extended Disney families. Sorry I couldn't make a bigger impact, but hopefully everyone will jump in there and do what they can! I know I would appreciate it greatly if our family was in that situation.
Not sure what the deal is with the email address and all of new DIS Dad's Club site yet, but will try to catch up. It is nice reading up and occasionally responding to other DIS Dad's on FB when I have the time, so I'm guessing this is a better way to share with a great group, without all the junk you have to endure and get through on FB, so sign me up and hopefully I can get all caught up soon. Soccer season ends this weekend, so I will be down to just baseball after that.
Soccer season never ends
Believe me, I know.........![]()
Whew.
All caught up with disdads.com Email address creation.
We're up to 16. 34 addresses still available - step right up, come one come all.
And if you do get a disdads.com Email address, please consider a small donation to the DISDads Give Kids the World project!
Been laid up since Sat, Woke up and felt like I was on the recieving end of a Chuck Norris BeatdownNo energy whatsoever with coughing. A swamp slug had more energy than me.
I don't really mind a cold every once and a while, but I hate it when it feels like your knees got knocked in and your on your butt.![]()
If you physically saw Chuck Norris...it was not Chuck Norris. The very fact that you survived is further evidence that it was not Chuck Norris..
Sorry man, I just couldn't resist (I have a million of these)....hope you start feeling better soon

Well we get off the train and head for the exit...and I glance up at this escalator...I'm like...OMG!!! are we at the Earth's Core...this thing must go up 8-10 stories...and man is it steep... Here's a shot I took coming back down...about 1/3 of the way down...you can't really appreciate the steepness of the slope from this Picture...but I was having some serious battles with vertigo...
Well we finally reach the top...guess what...the Zoo is 4 blocks away...up Hill...da#n Panda...![]()
the Smithsonian has the Air and Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center at the Washington Dulles Airport...now folks...THIS IS an Air and Space Museum...![]()

I don't know about Chuck Norris, but I heard that DisneyFed does not do push ups. DisneyFed pushes the earth down.
Nate, looks like a great trip! I'm impressed at all the places you guys packed into just a few days.
Yeah, that is a deep station. I should have warned you about the zoo station!
The zoo is actually halfway between the Cleveland Ave. and Zoo Metro stops, and it's downhill from Cleveland Ave. to the zoo. Sorry about that.
Now I'm jealous! I've heard so many great things about this museum and still haven't seen it. I really need to check it out.
Thanks for sharing the pictures!
I just registered!! You can add me!!
And for the calender we'll be at AKV Kidani May 8th till May 14th!! And if goes far enough in advance we're also booked for DCL Nov 12, 2011 till Nov 19, 2011!! CAN'T WAIT!!!!
The walk from the Cleveland Park station is pretty flat, actually, but the important thing about it is that it is not straight uphill like the Woodley Park station.

The Udvar-Hazy portion of the Air and Space Museum is incredibly close to my house, however, I have never been there. It costs more to park there than at WDW.![]()
Yeah...I was impressed too...we got home and checked DS15's list...we missed one item...the FDR Memorial.Nate, looks like a great trip! I'm impressed at all the places you guys packed into just a few days.

Clevland Station...flat...check...like I'll remember that 15-20 years from now.I stand corrected. But yeah, the walk isn't nearly as bad.
Fed...you think if I was wearing my official Corn Cop gear I could have gotten into the White House...official business of course.Second the Irish Pub......
And yes Barry, I do push the earth down....
Only because I'm too fat for it to hold me up![]()
We're up to $960 with a few days to go! We may still reach $1000, which would be very respectable for a 1 month fundraising effort! Thanks Dads!![]()
