What's wrong with live & let live. If your kids needs a leash? Ok. If my kid gets 3rds on soda and you're a water-only family? Ok.
Alas, i'm probably wrong.

Men seem to be different that way. Live and let live. You raise your kids, I'll raise mine.
We have a rule in our house that we never ride our bikes with out a helmet. Madison gets upset when she sees the girl from 2 houses down riding her bike without a helmet and wants to take hers off. We just explain that her family has different rules.

:lmao: That might just turn into a "Can you believe I married this dope?" thread. :rotfl2:

Um, that's going on right now on my trip report. :sad2:

Is it wrong to not see this as a punishment?
You are a sad, strange little man. And you have my pitty.

Ummm, thanks, I think... "Its a world of laughter, a world of tears...."

...It's a world of hopes and a world of fears...

My trip in June...yeah, HOT out for me, you'll find me on this ride more than once during the trip.

Okay, so how's this for a Saturday:

Got a great 6 miles in this morning and got the grass cut right after lunch. Then, DW and DD go one way and DS and I go another (dance competition and a soccer game in different towns). So, we're texting back and forth about the soccer score and DW says "wouldn't it be great if we were at Disney now?" I say "yes, and the score is 3-1 at the half." Well, both events end within 2 minutes of each other and we agree to meet in the middle for supper as a family instead of each group doing their own thing for supper. Nothing else was mentioned about Disney; we were enjoying each others company and talking about the game and dance competition. We finish supper and drive home (about 30 minutes) and I find myself in DS bedroom working on some shelves. DW comes in the room with the "sheepish grin" on her face (ya'll know this smile; it's the I've just done something smile). She proceeds to tell me that she has been pricing Disney vacations for a few days over spring break. I say "oh yeah, how much?" She tells me the cost (surprisingly low for 4 nights on property, or so I thought; we already have annual passes). Well, long story short, WE'RE THERE, APRIL 4TH THRU 8TH. Crazy stuff, but after thinking about what we had originally planned, the $$ involved was less going to Disney than our original plans, so we said what the heck.

Yeah, it's short notice and yeah, crowds will suck, and yeah, I know a TR will be expected, but geez, why pass it up?? :woohoo:

So, everyone's pumped at our house, and that's a good thing.

:thumbsup2 That's Awesome:woohoo:

Yes. Yes, it is. See below.

You are a sad, strange little man. And you have my pitty.

See? Oh, and YOU! ARE! A! TOY!

Ummm, thanks, I think... "Its a world of laughter, a world of tears...."

Gah! (shoving fingers in ears) I'm not listening...

In my world that falls under the definition of "Torture".....

I'd say cruel and unusual punishment, even. :rotfl:

As Sgt Shultz from Hogan's Hero's would say - I know nothing, I hear nothing, I see nothing :lmao:

NOOOOO! PLEASE STOP. I CONFESS. I CONFESS.

We once invited both sets of grandparents to the California Grill for DD’s 4th birthday where my dad announced that his favorite ride at the ‘64 World’s Fair was IASW. Dad no, it can’t be true.

NOOOOO! PLEASE STOP. I CONFESS. I CONFESS.

We had not been on ITSW for many years (20+) so one of the last times we were at WDW we decided to give it a tray again, after all how bad could it be? All I can say is, it will take at least another 20 years to forget the agony.
:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

I'm with you...

I can watch my DD eyes light up on IASM. It will probably be only a few more years I can do this before she is 'too cool' to ride it. :goodvibes

Oh, I'm not saying we don't go on at least 4 times each vacation. In fact, we do it for the exact same reason you do - because DD and DS love it. But when they're 12 and 14 and spending all of their time on BTMRR and Space Mountain - well, that posted 15 minute wait will seem pretty long, so DW and I will probably just keep walking around the corner to Haunted Mansion.

As Sgt Shultz from Hogan's Hero's would say - I know nothing, I hear nothing, I see nothing :lmao:

:lmao: commando, i wounder how many of these guys would remember hogans heros, f troop or gomer pile? :lmao: most of these guys grew up with more than 10 channels on there tv like we did. remember the rabbit ears? i was lucky, we got cable when i was about 5 so we got 2-13 but before that it was 3-6-10 and pbs.:lmao: my dd seen a dial phone at a friends house and asked, what is that? it even has a cord on it! how do you take the phone into the bathroom?:lmao:

Hey I don't mind IASW every once in a while, just not every trip. To me classic Disney rides like that are what it is all about, plus it gives me a chance to look for hidden Mickeys. :thumbsup2 It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't always get stuck in that last room behind about 20 boats, not moving and nothing new to see, while you listen to the song about 50 more times....

I remember all of those shows, but thanks to Peter Pan Syndrome, I'm still not old!!! :cool1: Dial phones??? I remember party lines.....and when they came and installed our first A/C. Until then we only had central heat and used fans in the windows. Of course, in those days you could leave your doors unlocked and didn't give it a second thought!

Channels 5-11-19 here. Yes we had a Party-line...my folks still have a Dial Phone...with a mechanical ringer.

Gomer, Hogan's Heros, McHale's Navy. I vaguely remember F-Troop.

Speaking of Gomer...check out one of our local Weathermen...I with I could find a Video of him...sounds just like Gomer.

Well Gooolly. http://www.foxtricities.com/pages/3519551.php? :lmao:

I loved the episode of Gomer Pile where Pile was eating rabbit every night before going to bed and it would make him sleep walk over to Sgt Carters, and he would give Sgt. Carter a good dressing down.:thumbsup2

My two year old LOVES IASW....therefore, I grudgingly road it about 7 times on our last trip.....

I still wake myself up screaming:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:
