You could not PAY ME ENOUGH MONEY to run a school full of Middle School Aged kids......my job is safer:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Love what I do. Wouldn't trade it for anything (except for maybe a pilot or a Disney bus driver, LOL). I'm just a bigger version of them with a little more sense and sanity. I sort of fit right in. They need love just like the little ones, except they want to fight you if you show it to them, :confused3 which is what makes the job great. But, sarcasm is a great weapon: it can stop a middle schooler in his/her tracks, especially if it is done with a smile on your face so they know you aren't TOTALLY serious.

I do believe this would be a perfect time to fire up the DIS Dad's Party Bus!

This made me think, for the Dis Dad's December trip, is there going to be a minivan convoy? ("Convoy!") I thought that if all the Dis Dad's brought their various vans, you could drive up to Fed's place and give him the low down on why the van is the ultimate driving experience. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I've got an 07 Grand Caravan! It got us to and from WDW once, and will do it again in Dec. And my father has 120,000 on his Saturn Relay in 3 years, and it's going strong. So, I can bring a Plus 1 to the Convoy!

Great! Where can I find the frozen Dole bars like they sell in the parks?!

I'll ask some sales reps about it. We did carry them at one time was aleast 10 years ago. We had Strawberry & Variety Pack. Can't promise anything but I'll see if I can get any info on them:thumbsup2

Question for all you fellow Dads that do PTR and TR's..Do I need to do an individual PTR or does the Dec PTR cover all the Dads going?:confused3Notice I said do reports and not finish reports???? So yes Don this means you can answer my question:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:Your 24 hrs is up:lmao::lmao:

Just messing with ya Don you are doing a fine job on your report.I know its not Disney but Sea World is always on our list to do when we go to Fla.

A group TR would be a very interesting concept:sunny:

My bad! Sorry for any misimformation AJ, I honestly thought they worked it with a extra 10 ontop of the 180. Now I hope I got this right now, at 180 days you can book your ADR's, if you are staying a week, you can book all your ADR's at once, instead of calling everyday:confused3 Sorry for any mixup, I feel bad. The last trip they were doing 90 day ADR glad they did away with that.

Didn't mean to make you feel bad or anything.... wait a sec.. you're a guy! No hard feelings!!!

Glad it is all straightened out! :hippie::hippie:

It's all good, glad to know for when I book ADR's for Dec. trip, I would have been calling at 190 days:lmao:

No harm, no foul. I actually understood how the 180 ADR rule worked (after I re-read it a couple of times). My question is more about whether I should go ahead and let the Poly Concierge folks make the ADRs for me, and how far in advance of my 180-day window I should make sure that I've connected with them.

Oh - and WELCOME to all the new DisDads! Great to see the group growing :woohoo:

I would call them (Poly concierge) tomorrow and just ask how it works with them doing the booking. Then you can make an educated decision. Of course this means calling 3-4 times to see what their answers are, and if they are all the same. :lmao::lmao:

Better make sure I'm off the clock when I call. It might be "gambling on the job" if I'm playing CSR roulette during working hours. :flower1:

Hi all! Another Disney Dad here. I spend most of my time lurking on the podcast board so I didn't even know this group existed until someone posted about it over there. My name is Daniel and I find myself answering yes to so many of the "qualification" questions at the beginning of the thread. I have a wife and two kids that are all huge Disney fans as well. I look forward to getting to know everyone and hope to get over to this thread often! :)
Welcome!

Thanks, DC! We tried some Mango bars by another company but they just weren't the same.

well I am up and moving around, cant say I am hung over cause I think I am still drunk. However I will not let that stop me from getting my Disney fix.I would jump in on that mini van convoy in Dec ,but my family doesn't fit well into the van anymore. So in saying that I would be glad to jump into the convoy driving in our expidition.:thumbsup2oh do I hear it ????I think I do!!! I do hear it !!!!!

South bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
We are aSouth bound, just watch ol' "Dis dads" run.

Keep your foot hard on the pedal.Never mind them brakes.
Let it all hang out 'cause we got a run to make.
The Mouse is a thirsty in Disney, and there's beer in World Showcase.
And we'll bring it back no matter what it takes.

Well, I think I might be a bit too far ahead of the group for a convoy, I'll be cutting out of work early on the Friday and staying in Fed's neck of the woods Friday night. We did it that way last time and it worked out pretty well, you can pick up a decent room on Hotwire for under $50, everybody gets a good night sleep, and we're at the parks by 10:00 the next morning.

Welcome to all our new members!:earsboy:
