South bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
We are aSouth bound, just watch ol' "DisneyDadC" run.

Keep your foot hard on the pedal.Never mind them brakes.
Let it all hang out 'cause we got a run to make.
The Mouse is a thirsty in Disney, and there's beer in World Showcase.
And we'll bring it back no matter what it takes.

Ol' Smokey's got them ears on and he's hot on our trail.
He aint gonna rest 'til were in jail.
So we got to dodge 'im and we got to duck 'im,

Just put that hammer down and give it hell.

Figured I would give it a little twist

:lmao::thumbsup2

So I would assume that you are the Bandit...Does that make Fed Buford T Justice?:lmao:

Sounds like a win-win situation for you! You get a few days home alone (eating pizza, drinking beer, and leaving stuff around...basically living in a true "MAN ROOM") and still get to go to dis in Dec. Awesome...

Yes I do think it's a win-win situation:thumbsup2 The only thing I requested is that they do not take my son on any rides he has not been on yet, mainly Space Mountian, First time should be father & son and I don't want in-laws stealing my thunder.

I'll focus on the Dec trip with you guys, even though I'm thinking I'm being set up at WC since no one could really say what goes on there, here's my theory.

They brainwash everyone before you leave that nothing ever happened. If you ask for ketchup all the kids riding on the horse sticks chase you around , knock you down and squirt ketchup all over you. :scared1::laundy: I may be bringing some ketchup packets from Micky D's with me. I'm glad I don't use A-1 sauce they probably send a family of :squirrel::squirrel::squirrel::squirrel: after you. But since they brainwash you nobody really knows:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl2:Last night was the first night that Gabe was home....no sleep! It is all well worth it though.

As far as taking In-Laws to Disney....NEVER! That is my happy place.

Hope Gabe let's you catch a few zzz's tonite, he is just reminding you Hey I'm here. When my son Hunter was born, I fell asleep at work a few times making out orders:lmao:.

If we told you everything about Whispering Canyon we would have to kill you!:rolleyes1

The only downside ist that it's a pride-swallowing experience every time they insist on paying for stuff. But hey- I can only fight them on that for so long. And if they want to subsidize a WDW trip, that means I can return that much sooner. :woohoo:

They are welcome to pay for all or any part of my trip. Can I send them my address? :lmao:

My parents took me to Disney in Spring Break in 1987. That was the one and only trip. It was the last day of a week in Ft. Lauderdale, drove to Orlando, did Epcot in 5 hours, and on the road we went. Got to ride 2 rides, eat a hamburger, and walk through all the countries. They have the money but would not spend it then and won't now. I asked if they wanted to travel with us, even offered to pay for their lodging (with our DVC points) in exchange for the childcare, but they declined.

MIL is begging to go with us, but there are worries. She is great at times - an excellent cook, brings food, child care:cool2: - yet at other times - the endless martyrdom, sibling comparision, and everything I do is wrong:scared1:

KTME: Congrats on the arrival and Welcome Home to Gabe!!

Disney Commando: Have fun at Whispering Canyon. A few years back I ordered the large Coke there and it was grand!

DisneyDadC & dvczerfs: So awesome with the lyrics. I've got that in my head now. Love that movie too. I'm going to have to find that on DVD as my VCR no longer works thanks to the peanut butter sandwich.

I knew it :darth: is behind this. I know now I must seek out:yoda: to show me the way.

Oh come on now Commando, there's no brainwashing going on - but there's a reason it's called WHISPERING Canyon... just like any other secret - once you leave there you don't go running to the mountaintops to proclaim it! Where would the fun be in that?!? :rotfl2:

Fed - this car raffle I enter this year is 100% up your alley take a look and let me know what you think winthemustangs.com

We never had the opportunity to visit the World with my parents or my in-laws. My MIL is still alive but she's 90 and not quite able to make a trip like that, not that she'd enjoy it ~ it would be too worldly. My parents might have enjoyed it. My Dad would have probably spent all his time in the Lands and Seas. :lmao: When we made our first trip in 1990, he surprised us at the airport with a nice monetary gift, so he was with us in spirit.
I'm trying to look at the in-law thing from the other perspective: my DW and I are "in-laws" twice and we're hoping our SIL and DIL would like to take a trip with us! That's the only way we would get to visit Mickey with our grandkids! We're working on it but it will probably be a few years before anything like that happens. It looks like it may happen with our DD and her husband (and DGS); not so sure about our son and his wife (and two DGD's). If we could, we would kidnap our soon-to-be 4 y/o granddaughter and take her down there. We joke about getting her for a day and secretly flying down to the MK! We're pretty sure she would squeal on us when we got back, but it may be worth the risk! Maybe our DIL would think she was making it up and we'd get away with it! :rotfl2:

Where have you been hiding? Haven't seen you around much.

And was it chunky or creamy PB? :rotfl2:

Agreed! It's not as much fun if you know what's coming.

Well, ok, it's still fun. But you should go in blind the first time.

I find it gets easier and easier to swallow my pride if someone else is willing to fund my vacations! :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Agreed. After 9 yrs of being related to them, I'm getting better at it. Now if they want to pay for the kids' college tuitions, I'd gladly step aside and let them!! :teacher::thumbsup2
