Starting laundry now and will be packing tonight. Tomorrow I pick up the kids bags at school, drop off the dog and get the rental van. Then DD and 6 of her friends are off with me to the world at 3:00 pm. Keep an eye out for the beacon in case I need extraction.

Wish me luck.

Good Luck! Don't forget to pick up a big bottle of JD, just incase:drinking1

Here is a question for eveyone as far as booking your Disney vacations. Who do you book through?

We have not been members of AAA during our previous trips and we had problems with the local Disney "expert" travel agent, so we have been doing it ourselves through Disney. Just curious to see what other people do?

We have booked through AAA, ourselves and had TAs give us quotes. IMO it is better ourselves. We are getting APs again and the discounts are great. We like the convenience of calling Disney to change something and not a TA or AAA rep. Plus I'm a control freak and can't stand not talking to someone right then. DW changes resorts like she does shoes, so TAs would ban us.

We've always booked trips a la carte. Each trip we sit down with Excel and price out the trip going straight through the Mouse, through AAA and then by piece meal through different sources. We usually find it less expensive getting the tickets through authorized resalers (see MouseSavers) and can put together our own package that meets our needs better.

Good luck- we'll all be pulling for you! If you survive, make sure you post a link to your TR!

I use AAA didn't save much, but they give some good perks, AAA Diamond parking, free pic, free arcade time, and the best was Storytime at the expo hall.(didn't know what to expect , Snow White came out and read the kids a story and took pics with them) It was a AAA only thing and around 20 people total were there:woohoo:

We did it through AAA went we took DS for his first trip before he turned 3. The story time was a complete nightmare, it was the Fairy Godmother reading the story so it was a bit of a letdown. The worst part was completely out of the blue my son, who has never said anything like this before, says to the group of 3 to 5 year old girls that are on the floor with him "I think there are monsters behind the curtain!". Somehow this caused complete panic among the girls and several of them started crying and refused to go back and sit on the carpet. By the time the Fairy Godmother came out there were only 3 kids on the carpet with DS and every parent in the place is pi$$ed at us. Thank god that towards the end of the story he told us he had to go to the bathroom so we got out of there before the mob could get a hold of us.

Ouch! Sounds like he wanted to thin the crowd out a little bit! :rotfl2: Sometimes you wonder why kids say what the say when they say it.... :confused3

How great would it have been if Mike Wazowski and Sully came bounding out on stage?

Whatever the Dis Dad's equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor is, it's yours.

This would make for a unique trip report..

Can't quite get my head around the fact I will be going back out to WDW in 5 days

Any words of advice for travelling with an 18mth old boy ?

Take time to rest/take a nap in the middle of the day.

Don't go in feeling that you absolutely have to see EVERYTHING. Just make sure you hit the few things you really don't want to miss.

Take the time to watch your son's reactions. That's half the enjoyment of a trip to WDW.

Have fun!

Thanks you !. Mrs Scouser has got rest times planned in. The unknown factors are the nine hour flight and jet lag !

That is great - I have to remember that next time I want to get rid of a crowd!
