81 Degrees and pouring!!!!

The monsoons have stopped here now we just have the 40 mph winds. I am going to have to reassemble the lights outside this weekend.

Man! I thought we had it bad. Our high today was around 34 at midnight last night. 22 right now, feels like 18. It's supposed to get down to 19 overnight, which will feel like 15 or 16. Supposed to be in the single digits about an hour north of here. (higher elevation)

Luckily, it rained yesterday, none today. Otherwise every school around would be closed. No one around here knows how to drive on snow or ice. A few years ago my father was without power for 10 days during an ice storm.

Anyway... I hope all you yankees stay warm!

WOW! Alot of us will most likely be there 1st week of Dec 2010, This is a great opp. to get the Dis Dads recognized, as a group effort maybe the Dis Dads could open a park or be in a parade. With a year to plan, a Great bunch of Dads (almost 400), I think we are the type of guys that can make things happen!

Could be the start of something BIG, will never know if we don't try! What do you think?

Well, I've started the ball rolling with a Pre Trip Report Thread. DIS Dads in December - Let the Party Bus Roll!. We can use that as a home base to plan our trip and some sort of gathering. And for all of you that can't make it - we'll dump just a little bit of our Colt .45 Malt Liquor on the ground for our hommies who aren't with us!

So jump over there, post your details, ideas, suggestions, etc.

I'm also hard at work on version 2 of a logo. I hope to have it posted here later today.

Hey guys, I was off yesterday, I woke up started driving to work and could not see 5 feet in front of me, so I turned around and went home. My commute is an hour to work. Stayed home and had a great day!

my work got cancelled yesterday. I found this out when i was about 3/4 of the way to work.

Since I'm most likely going to be there a couple months ahead of you fellas, should I consecrate a piece of property for you or something? Maybe carve my initials in the Tree of Life? DIS DADS WUZ HERE...

Anyway, here's what I came up with. Working on the "supped up party bus" theme, with a supercharger, flames & Mickey antenna.

The logo should be adaptable enough to go on any item of clothing or hat, yet simple enough to look good as embroidery. The color can be changed, and a username or member number can be added on their site in addition to the logo.

If anyone has any suggestions or requests, let me know. If you want a copy of the file that is high enough resolution for threadsmith.com, let me know that as well and I'll get it to you. They currently are not running any sales promotions, but I should get an email from them when they are.
