For those of you who have spent Christmas in Disney, can you give me any useful tips?

No Sunday Night Football tonight because of the World Series!?! Baseball needs to be over. Over. It's November for Pete's Sake.

This is starting to get way out of hand, I'm pretty sure the family is going to do a pumpkin intervention next year.:confused3

Very cool! I'm really digging Crush. :thumbsup2

We were there in early December once and it was great. Get tickets early for MVMCP! One thing we enjoyed was touring the resorts to see the decorations at each one. The tree themes follow the resort themes and, at the time, each resort entered a gingerbread house in a competition. The Osbourne Lights in the Studios were also neat to see. Take some warm clothing because it did get down into the 30's when we were there.

Are you going to be there during the Christmas - new year's week? If so, be prepared for lots of crowds and lots of people. I've never done it, but mother in law and father in law have. They reported 60-90 minute waits for almost everything.
I've been there during the first week of December, and agree with Mijo. t's absolutely amazing how the resorts and parks a decorated for the Holidays.

grrrrrrr. i told you, im a jinx!! i wont watch tonight. i have jury duty monday and i got one good ear infection so ill be in bed early.

Hey Dave, maybe it wasn't your fault after all!

Sigh...as much as I hate to admit it, the Yankees have just been better. Period. It's hard to beat a team when your #4 and #6 hitters are striking out at a rate of once per at-bat. :sad2:

New to the Dis and jumping right in, what's up dad's? Taking my family at Christmas for the kids first visit (mom and I are park veterans). Having too much fun getting my girls all pumped up for a trip that's still two months away.

One of these years I'd like to see the World at Christmas! Welcome to the club... you are member # 377 :thumbsup2

I love the fact that there are other dad's who are as fanatical about WDW as me. I am the planner, scheduler, and all around tour guide for our annual trips. This is an awesome thread.

Isn't it awesome to be the planner?!? Glad you stopped to join our group... you are member # 378! :cool1:

:welcome: WELCOME TO THE DIS DAD'S CLUB! :welcome:

You have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

Check out the siggie! I had to change the CSR to POR, which I am totally fine with.:cool1:

DisneyMommy-O (which she prefers to be called now) is scared to try something new. Maybe we will visit CSR this year and ease her mind.

Now, we need to book the flight.:cool1::banana:

Not sure if this is a big deal for you, but CSR has queen beds... POR has double beds. This was one of the main reasons we are sticking with CSR again this year :thumbsup2

That was the one thing that DW has said she will miss. I think POR is our safety net, we have had such good times there that it is easy to go back. We will make a tour over to CSR to check it out for next time, I'm sure it will be amazing and make it easier to go make a change if we are lucky enough to go back.

Alright I'm in!! Finally, a place to talk to other Men about this. I get made fun of all the time, because I am always talking about my next trip. In fact, everytime I plan this my Team Members make fun and say oh great 5 months of hearing about Disney.
Anyway, I am a 30 yr. old dad and husband. My DD is 5 years old, and I have passed on the DIS gene. I took my wife to Disney for her first time. I then took her mom, sister, cousin, and step dad for their first trip. I love sharing the DIS love.

A Skins fan?? I'm not sure about this guy...:lmao:

Ah, we already have Cowboys fans in here. Welcome aboard!

So we finally broke the news to our kids yesterday about the Disney Cruise. My in-laws came up and we sent them on a scavenger hunt around the house, culminating in the in-laws handing my kids "tickets" for the cruise.

And they've been bouncing off the walls for 24 hours now! :lmao:
I think we made the right call to wait before telling them.

4 more days!

Yep! I know the feeling. :thumbsup2 Welcome!

We went last time in 2007. We ate dinner with some friends a couple of weeks ago that have 4 kiddos, and we mentioned that we were going to The World next year. The guy looked at me and said "Now, didn't you just go to Disney World?" I looked at him and said "Yeah, 3 years ago!" Some people just don't get it. :rolleyes1

HAHA! Only 4 more days of bouncing off the walls! :rotfl2: "Are we there yet??"
