I have a problem!! I am at work and can't seem to get any work done. I am constantly on these boards, checking airfare and trying to plan my November trip.

Fortunately I am the boss....but I still have to get work done. What do I do!!!

It's 11:30am on a Monday mornign and I haven't accomplished anything....well except go to the bank and .....ah.....check the DIS boards.

I have this problem aswell. My livingroom is a disaster area. As soon as I get two free seconds I am on here planning for September. I am actually thinking about making the computer off limits until I get my house work done :rotfl2:

My husband is threatening to block access to this site. Well, that will take care of my addiction at home...but what will I do about my addiction at work?

I just can't stop myself. :earboy2:

Do the rest of you have "type A" personalities? Is that the reason for our obsession and need to plan????

Really, I need to get back to work NOW!!!!

I know exactly what you mean. I have been at my job for about 5 months now and sneak on these boards all day long (we have internet access that really isnt monitored for sites that aren't real bad)...I should be learning more about my job and doing extra things along with my daily work ............AND I JUST CAN'T!
I am on this board all the time! I don't even want to work!!!! I get home from work I boot up my laptop and surf these boards till I go to sleep. My BF thinks I am nuts!!!!!!

Gosh...I could have written this!! I started my job Feb. 14 and it wasn't long after that we set the date for our Disney wedding...so I spend WAAAAY too much time surfing this board and not getting other stuff done!

Oh well...it will all "have" to end soon enough...I have to get some things done before we leave in September!!!
:flower:

glad to know i'm not the only one . plus this site makes me want to go more than if i don't visit( have been laid up heathwise so housebound....)may as well start thinking about my next trip even if I am broke :sad1: and it's a year+ away :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

I have the same problem and was commenting on the topic on another string. I have 5 days left before our trip :cool1: and it is 1:20 here and I am at work responding to this string. Can't wait until quitting time on Friday so I can get down there and live the experience!

Omigosh... You caught me. I'm looking at these boards all day long at work. I absolutely cannot wait to go and I keep checking this site nonstop because I'm afraid I'll miss something that will help me get the most out of my trip! What the heck will I do when I get back?

You just started posting on the boards. What will DH do when you've reached our porportions.............

This is why, being self-employed in software support, I appear to work around the clock - because I have to make up in the evening what I didn't get done during the day... I'm pretty sure I only work about 4 hours a day, but I'm on this darn computer a good 12 hours.... :paw:

Busted - I'm at work too! I consider this better than playing games like my coworkers do!

I'm a SAHM and when the kids are napping this is where I am. No wonder the laundry is so high....

The really bad thing is we have wireless so I have the laptop with me all the time too, just so I don't have to watch Sesame Street again though...

I love these boards but I think I'm becoming an over planner, not at all in my nature

Would you fire your employees if you found them on the computer all day.

I am scared to death. One of my jobs is just being in the office to answer the phone and the door. I am also the bookkeeper, record keeper, editor of a bulletin and newsletter. I am usually pretty busy with the public, but their are days with nothing to do and this is when I DIS. I just had to sign a internet policy agreement. It states there will be no personal use of the computer. It came from our Archdiocese.

What is the difference if I sit and read a book when there is no work, or that I DIS.

I never ever go to any websites that would put my job in jeopardy. I just hope they don't consider WDW offensive.

:rotfl: Luckily at the moment the DIS isn't keeping me away from anything, besides packing! But in a few weeks I'll be back at school for my senior year :earseek: I have a feeling this will be an excellant distraction from papers, studying.... ;)

I actually did fire an employee for personal use of the computer and not doing their job. With me it is different I am the one signing my own payroll check and if I have tos tay at work until midnight I won't pay myself over time. I eventually get the work done sometimes at 2 or 3 in the morning but it gets done. I can't see an employee doing that nor would I want them staying at my office until 2 or 3 AM. Now if they were on the DIS board maybe I wouldn't fire them.

This is my first visit to Disney in about 20 years. I have never planned so much--thanks guys!! My living room is a disaster with all my plans and ressies and my must haves so that we don't get sore feet or too hot--thanks guys!! My husband is ready to leave me because I am addicted to this site--thanks guys!!

But when we have a great time and see what we want to see and come home without killing each other or the kids, they will be the ones to say "THANKS GUYS!!"

I love all the sugestions and helpful hints. We leave for Florida on the 19th and be in Disney Aug 28-Sept 3. Hope to see some of you down there. I look forward to reporting back to all of you.
