The DIS 2007 DLRP Awards - Voting Over: Results Soon!

Some of you may remember the first time did this back in 2005, well it's that time again. New members have joined us and DLRP has changed so we thought it would be interesting to see what comes out on top and how the results differ from last time. You can send your votes to me via PM or email and feel free to get other family members to vote too.

Voting will be open until Monday 2nd July 2007 to give people 4 weeks to vote - that way people who are away can come back and vote!

So, onto the categories, the first set of questions can include Disney Studios atrractions but I wanted to do a seperate DS section as I feel they won't get that many votes against main park attractions and want to see what people like in the Studios. Feel free to vote in as few or as many as you want:

1. Best on-site hotel?
(e.g. Disneyland, New York, Sequoia Lodge, Newport Bay, Cheyenne, Santa Fe, Davey Crockett)

2. Best off-site hotel?
(e.g. Explorers, Holiday Inn, Kyriad etc...)

5. Best snack outlet?
(e.g. Cable Car Bake Shop, Cookie Kitchen, Market House Deli, New York Style Sandwiches etc...)

6. Best thrill ride?
(e.g. Indiana Jones, Rock 'N' Roller Coaster, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain2 etc...)

7. Best non thrill ride?
(e.g. Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan, Phantom Manor, Flying Carpets etc...)

8. Best non-ride attraction
(e.g. Alice's Curious Labyrinth, Shootin' Gallery, Adventure Isle, The Castle)

9. Best land?
(Main St USA, Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Discoveryland)

10. Best shop?
(e.g. Emporium, The Toy Chest, Bixby Brothers, Disney & Co etc...)

11. Best parade?
(e.g. Princess, Cinema, Fantillusion, Christmas, Villain etc...)

12. Best piece of DLRP merchandise?
(e.g. DLRP calendar, DLRP chocolate, Winnie the Pooh hoodie, Mickey Fantasia Pin etc...)

13. Best queuing area?
(e.g. Pirates of the Caribbean, Casey Jnr, Star Tours, Phantom Manor etc...)

14. Best show?
(e.g. Tarzan, Lion King, Animagique, Mickey's Winter Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh etc...)

I'll round up my gang over the coming week to get their views. It will be interesting to see how the results compare to last time's. I love the Studios but always think I am in the minority ~ I wonder if it will now be more popular with it's new rides.

This sounds like fun! I'll definatly be voting after a discusion with my DD.

Quick Q though, do we have to answer every question?
It would be strange answering ones about the hotel's when we've only stayed in SL

Thanks Steve - what can I say, I was brainwashed going to DL in Ca as a young kid. But yep, I've had the pleasure of every attraction, hotel, restaurant and almost every show and parade. I love the place.

For Brits that want to go - words of advise - save your Tesco's clubcard points! Between those and my Holiday Inn priority club points (I travel a lot with work), once you have an AP, it can be done very cheaply. And by doing this, opens you up to even more experiences.

Actually, while I'm thinking about it, can I suggest two extra questions that I think should be added?

The restaurant question (no.4?) really refers to "in park" dining, but my favourite is outside the parks. Could we have questions for favourite Village restaurant and favourite Disney Hotel restaurant as well?
