I have not been able to get back since the new HP section has been up and running, last I was there, it was about to open. So I have not seen what they have done to the Dragons coasters. I loved that que when it was in the Lost Continent and I particularly loved the castle and the stained glass windows that came to life and told the story. And the dungeon as well. Has all this changed? Did they keep any of this? What is the que like now? I am familiar with the FJ que, read quite a bit about it, but have not heard much at all about the Dragon Challenge que? Thanks.

I never saw the DD queue before WWoHP, but the queue now has a few minor HP elements: various banners for the Tri-Wizard Tournament contestants, the Weasley family car, the Goblet of Fire (or was it the Tri-Wizard Cup?) in a tent, a display case with dragons' eggs, and a room with the levitating candles above. Not much else that I recall.

From what I've read on here from people who've seen both queues (before and after), this queue is very boring compared to the original.

Yes, the Dragon's Challenge queue is easily the most disappointing place in the area. The stained glass room is completely gone, and it's now a tent with some cots and food to make it look like a "ready room" for the champions, and the goblet of fire is in the middle. Then where Merlin's spellbook was, is now the TriWizard Cup. Then the room with the burned knights against the wall is empty, and there's a small case with the 3 eggs in them. Then the room with the frozen knights hanging from the ceiling is bare, but has floating candles, which is honestly the best part of the queue.

And that's it. The rest of the tunnels and caverns is nothing but plain walls and nothing to see. It's a shame what they've done. But oh well.

I haven't seen the new queue but I thought Dueling Dragons had the most alaborate queue I'd ever seen! I was very disappointed to here about the rethemeing of the queue. I wish I had taken more pictures before the transformation.

I liked listening to Merlin tell the back story and trying to read all the words on the walls...never did though.

Here are a few pictures of the old queue:

Aside from the actual ride which is obviously the same, every change they made to the ride's theming was a downgrade, just compare the old entrance with the two dragon statues to the lame entrance now, then you have all the cool theming removed from the interior of the castle,at the very least they should have painted the whole coaster structure and trains totally different colors so at least it has the feel of a new ride and not the old Dueling Dragons with less theming.
