The did we do anything but eat on this trip deluxe dining report! Aug 12-21

Your pictures look YUMMY!!!!!:thumbsup2 One question though--what is that on your plate next to the ham and cheese omelet during breakfast at Boma? :confused3 It looked like it had some kind of sauce on it:confused: ?

Hey thanks everybody I am glad you are enjoying them, we had alot fun with it! :goodvibes

coconuts, I have to say I dont recall the name of the dish but what is covered with the gravy is a biscuit. So i took it because I love biscuits & gravy for breakfast, now it wasnt my favorite Boma dish but it was alright, maybe someone else will know the name of it!;)

That is the sausage biscuit casserole. It is a mixture of potatoes, sausage, red and green peppers, onions and a curry like sauce and topped with fluffy yummy biscuits....it is too die for and my favorite item at Boma!

Ok so our 4th day was Animal Kingdom day, and my DS favorite use to be Donalds Breakfasourus, so I told him about the change and we booked Tusker House!:goodvibes
We again all enjoyed our Breakfast and this place is BIG, very spaced out so no bumping into people and waiting more than a couple minutes to get to some goodies! So lets see what I have from Tusker House!
disneytripwithbrad157-1.jpg

So this plate was my DN it seems to have a little of everything! Oh and again we like the juice, very tasty!
Next up was my DH plate
disneytripwithbrad158.jpg

Then my DS,
disneytripwithbrad159.jpg

My DSIL
disneytripwithbrad160.jpg

My DM,
disneytripwithbrad161.jpg

and mine
disneytripwithbrad162.jpg

Now mine I can remember some of, those cheese blinzt, oh my they were tasty, and I also like the breakfast potatos and of course my standards of biscuits and gravy, scrammbled eggs and bacon! oh and lets not forget this little gem
disneytripwithbrad156.jpg

where else but on vacation can you have a crossant with cream cheese a krispy kreme and a chocolate chip thingie and a cinammon roll plus regular food....ahhhh good times!!

So yet again another thumbs up from the gang! :thumbsup2 We will most likely do this breakfast again, its gets us in the park early, has characters and was yummy, sounds like a good combo to me!

So dinner tonight was at the Poly Luau, my hubby and I had been to Hawaii and seen a Luau and have wanted to do this one, but the reviews are always so-so, but this time I bit the bullet and booked it, and I am glad we did!

We all like the dinner and the show even a little hokey was good. My DSIL after seeing those guys doing there dances wants to move to Hawaii!!! :lmao:
Now our camera started to die during this meal and of course I was like "what I NEED those FOOD PORN PICTURES, I cant let these people down, for the love of pete get another battery" so my hubby did what any good hubby (that forgot the extra battery at home) would do he went and bought one! Good hubby!! BUT not till after dinner, so I only have a couple shots from here, but we were back up and running so many more pics to come
disneytripwithbrad171.jpg

our camera would come and go, so I didnt get a pic of the salad and bread, and they were both good, really good. But this is a shot of my plate the Chicken, Ribs and the Rice I love rice and enjoyed this alot! Oh and the veggies were tasty as well!
disneytripwithbrad172.jpg

Now I have to say the way they present the dessert you are ready for it, but it was a big let down I dont any of us liked it, it looked like a little pyramid of chocolaty goodness but as my son put it, "its funky" and well we all agreed!:rolleyes1

Oh and I had a Pina Colada so I got my son his on "fancy drink" the virgin Pina Colada with a Glow Cube, and here's a picture, he wanted everyone to see his "fancy drink":woohoo:
disneytripwithbrad174-1.jpg

So again over all we gave this dinner show a thumbs up, except for dessert! Are waitress was awesome, she made it even more fun!:dance3:

Next up day 5 takes us to Epcot and the Garden Grill for Lunch and dinner at the Yatchsman Steakhouse!!

Which was better food wise, Boma or Tusker House?

i'm gonna have to say Boma, but Tusker House was right up there! But a slight nudge to Boma, I think we compared it when we were eating at Tusker House and Boma got the edge in flavor but Tusker seemed to have more selection.

Ok good to know...DH and I love Boma and in January we are taking our 2 nieces to Tusker House instead of Boma because of the characters...I was bummed missing Boma but if Tusker House is a close second I should be happy!

Danalee...your DS is a cutie patootie! Tell him taht we think his "cocktail" is really cool!

OMGosh, now I am rethinking my ADR's and I might have to see if I can get a Boma breakfast.:worship: It looks sooooooooooo good!

Awe thanks Heather we think so too!:goodvibes He was so excited I was putting that on there, he got the biggest kick out of taking the pictures.

We were talking tonight and like my hubby brought up, as much as we like the Character breakfast, its nice to have a nice, calm, quiet start to the day breakfast as well! And for that Boma is a great choice!;)

Ok gang here is my Garden Grill reviews!

I have to tell you when you when I started to the review and said we only had 2 bad waiters/waitress well whoops I missed one, I think because I was so unimpressed with this place that it slipped my mind!

This guy was S L O W with a capitol S, he sat down the first plate for us, now there were 5 adults and really what was on the first plate was maybe able to serve 2-3 now not a "big" deal because they bring more of whatever you want, so we asked as soon as he stopped back at our table and looked at us like we had three heads when he said "more of what" and we said everything! he turned and was off without a word! we had to ask for drink refills, when clearly every single glass was empty and we were still eating. I was a waitress back in the day so I can be very forgiving but his "nose in the air" attitude just rubbed me the wrong way.:headache:

To be honest when the first plate/tray was given I ate off my sons kids plate cause I knew by looking at it there was noway we would all get to eat from the adult one.

Ok so here are some pictures... first up my DS nuggets, fries and mac-n-cheese, which by the way he likes, me i am just not into the WDW mac-n-cheese i dont know its just different:confused:
disneytripwithbrad201.jpg

So here is I believe the second platter platter Me "oh so friendly" dropped off.
disneytripwithbrad211.jpg

and the basket of biscuits and cornbread, these were tasty!
disneytripwithbrad213.jpg

not to many pics here, you know when those characters come everything else stops! The characters were good here all making there rounds at least 3 times, stopped and took pictures with all of us! My thought was to make up for the lackluster food!:lmao:

The other adults all liked the catfish, me and DS well not so much. The chicken was kinda bland and the cheesy potatos...again nothing to get excited over......BUT then came dessert,
disneytripwithbrad225.jpg

Now this was Yum-O, i was glad everyone else was kinda full :lmao: We all did like the dessert, i think i might have been the only one to Love it, mmmm

Now would we go back here, well no time soon for sure.:sad2: The food didnt impress or wow any of us and since "Mr Grumpy Pants" was our waiter that didnt help either! So this was a "been there, done that" type of meal...what can I say they cant all knock you socks off!:woohoo:

and speaking of knocking our socks off....next up: Yachtsman Steakhouse:thumbsup2

alrighty, now I was very much looking forward to going to the Yachtsman Steakhouse, and have no, none, zip, zero regrets! This one a really great dinner, our waiter was on his game it was just an amazing evening!

So first up, our appys! My DS chose the kids salad but really wanted the Lobster Bisque, so my DSIL got the Bisque and they switched!
disneytripwithbrad237.jpg

myself and my DM also had the Lobster Bisque and wonderful is a good way to sum it up, thick creamy with chunks of sweet lobster...oh how I wish I had some now!
disneytripwithbrad236.jpg

My DH & DN both had the Seared Diver Scallops
disneytripwithbrad235.jpg

I stole a bite of these off my hubby, oh my goodness, as much as I loved the Bisque that bite left me wishing I had chose this dish!

For our main course my DS chose the Grilled Chicken and Mashed potatos, which shocked me I thought for sure he would go for the steak, sometimes I swear he dose it just so i'm not right! :rolleyes1
disneytripwithbrad243.jpg

Now my DM, DSIL and myself all had the New York Strip, I had med, DM med-well and my DSIL well she likes shoe leather i guess cause she ordered her's "very well done" :scratchin but thankfully for her she said it was tender and tasty, who knew!
disneytripwithbrad239.jpg

My DH had the Porterhouse with the Roasted Garlic Fingerling Potatoes, I liked his potatoes better than my Dimond White Cheddar Potato Casserols, next time I will make a switch!
disneytripwithbrad240.jpg

and DN also had the Porterhouse and had the Potato Casserole with his
disneytripwithbrad241.jpg

Then onto dessert, and they were just as fab as dinner!
here is DS dessert puzzle, he was amazed when he found out he could eat the puzzle!:rotfl2: He thought we were kidding, he took the smallest little nibble off a piece just to make sure it was to eat! :rotfl2:
disneytripwithbrad249.jpg

My DSIL fell in love with her dessert and said she would go back just for it! here is the Sample of Chocolate (or something close to that)
disneytripwithbrad245.jpg

DH and DM both had the Sorbet Trio
disneytripwithbrad246.jpg

and I had something called "Cherry something, something" it was Cherry Sorbet and a Cherry Tart, another Yum-O
disneytripwithbrad247.jpg

and my DN had the Creme Burlee
disneytripwithbrad244.jpg

Wow, wow, wow is all I can say what a wonderfull dinner & evening we all enjoyed!
Would we go back? In a heartbeat :lovestruc From the appy's to main and from dessert to the service all outstanding! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Tomorrow finds us......wait for it....Cancelling an Breakfast ADR and Sleeping in:faint:
So it was Lunch at Columbia Harbor House and our dinner with Cinderella at her Royal Table!princess:

That is the sausage biscuit casserole. It is a mixture of potatoes, sausage, red and green peppers, onions and a curry like sauce and topped with fluffy yummy biscuits....it is too die for and my favorite item at Boma!

Thanks--I want that sausage biscuit casserole NOW! Thanks also to you danalee for all your great pics and reviews; I want to get back to WDW asap.:goodvibes
