It seems like many folks are quite particular as to when they will, or will not, visit Disney World.

For us, weather is the main factor - we are simply attached to Disney in the Spring (Only April or May). What's your dealbreaker?

Haha, I'm a DJ for a radio station and Lorelai was playing when I saw your post. :)

Weather and crowd levels are ours, we prefer the late fall and early winter for those reasons. I'd never go in the summer or over a holiday period in a million years.

Early winter is awesome........no crowds, the weather is beautiful. What more could you ask for.

I would not could not in the rain,
I will not, will not... in a hurricane...
:goodvibes

I actually plan my visits around "peak" character times, as there are certain events (like MNSSHP) that are great for meeting characters. :)

But I also plan around the heat, as mid-May is about as hot as I can go, and not go again until early October. I have real problems walking in the heat with the powerful Florida sun beating down. Though later this year, we are planning a trip around days off from school. :)

I'm a teacher, so I go either in the summer or right around Christmas, preferably both!

I don't mind the rain, I don't mind hurricanes.
I can bear the bugs, and I can bear the heat.
But I will not, WILL NOT, deal with the crowds.

Although I sometimes get tempted, the dealbreaker for us is weather. We just won't go May-September. Big crowds aren't my fave either, but I can handle crowds better than I can handle melting. Heaven help us when the kids get a bit older and it's not so easy for then to miss 3-4 days of school!

We avoid the most crowded times- spring break, peak of summer, week between Christmas and New Years.

Used to be to avoid the crowds, but somebody got old enough to be in school...so it's the lowest crowds we can find while school's out. (Or miss very minimal school time.) This year that means August...should be a nice, cool trip... :)

WE have DD11 and DS9 we have to go in the summer not an option to miss school. So there is no dealbreaker for us.

No real dealbreaker for us. My husband is a teacher - so we have ONLY been in the summer, and so we deal with the heat. We plan to go another time of the year for a long weekend at least once.

Crowds. For us, that means we go only when school is in session (also avoiding long holiday weekends). I know so many say WDW is for kids, but I love it most when the fewest kids are there!!

No "dealbreaker" for us. We go in the summer (hot and crowded!) and over New Years Eve (chilly and crowded!). I'll even stay off-site!

My DH will not (did I say that loud) WILL NOT go in the summer. That leaves school holidays. For us, we get Mardi Gras week off. Most people don't so that is a wonderful time to go.

Crowds. We like September the best.

Weather is still hot, rainy and chance of anything tropical happening (even though so far this year, when someone goes doesn't seem to matter on this) but worth it not to have to fight crowds.

We are trying a trip the week before Easter this year (coming home on Holy Thursday), using the kids school vacation so that nobody misses class.

I know that the weather will be lovely, but I am a bit nervous about the crowds. We have been the week post Easter before, so we know what we're in for. But this time we feel we're a bit more experienced and have a really good itinerary revving up.

So I'm getting my "relax, it's a vacation, mode" in gear, using knowledge from the past 7 trips and realizing that we'll just start super early, make tons of ADRs and lastly ......................... I subscribed to TGM. ;)

Food and Wine Festival!! We went this past May and all of us agreed. We missed F&W to much.

Back to the October/November time frame for us!

Usually we go in Jan. after the holidays That being said my DW and I went for a three day weekend last Sept. and we roasted and said NEVER AGAIN

But the free dinning hooked us. Soooooo we are going again the last week in Sept. For Free dinning and this was the clincher MNSSHP
